No, you didn't miss anything, I've been trying to just catch up little by little, a couple posts every few minutes, but without sacrificing time with Tyler. :thumbsup2

Now Tyler's in the tub for a couple more minutes, so the update is just another good med check appointment. Ice Queen didn't come, fortunately. Dad, however, got there before us and was already in talking with the doctor, so I'm not sure what that's about, but I suppose it doesn't matter because the appointment resulted in the doctor suggesting we make no med changes for now. That's what I was hoping for because he only planned on having Tyler stay on the med for a few months. I personally think he should stay on it for the rest of the school year and have his adjustment to being off meds occur during the summer, but we'll see when the time comes.

Today was a HORRIBLE day for Tyler. He was punching kids, and RUNNING AWAY from the teachers who tried to talk to him about it, and threatening to beat them up, etc. :sad2: In fact, he was sent to the office and the teacher was about to call me to come remove him from school for the day when I showed up to pick him up for his appointment. She asked what the heck happened to him and wondered if I'd forgotten his meds this morning and I told her, no, it's just the unpredictableness of his issues. But fortunately, days like this are fewer than last year, so this is still an improvement for him.

Tyler did a great job of talking to the doctor about his day though and the doctor praised him for that.

Sorry it was a bad day for Tyler. I think it comes as a bit of a surprise these days with him doing so well. It was a good day to be going to the doctor then and Tyler could talk about it when it was fresh in his mind.

Thanks for all the zoo photos. I love the prairie dog one - so funny. We saw them in the desert museum in Tucson and I thought they were so cute.

Hello Everyone!

We are back in Chicago! Our flight arrived back at about 4PM and we got home via El by about 5:30.

We had a fantastic time in California. I think we're still in a bit of shock!

They party was incredible and we had a wonderful time. I was worried that we were a little bit quiet, but it was because we were just so overwhelmed and truly speechless over how wonderful everything and everybody were.

As I think I told most people, though we have been together for 21 years, we have never received any external support or approval for our relationship. I don't think we were prepared for people to celebrate our wedding with us.

It was FANTASTIC too see so many friends from the cruise and have them celebrate with us.

I know I'm going to have to get CDs of photos from the folks who were there taking them, because we have hardly any photos at all.

I'm going to keep it brief for this posting. Naughty Jackie and Cheri kept us up late and we got up early for the flight.

I have to start getting up again at 4:30 AM, so I am going to go to bed now and try and get a good night's sleep.

I'll post more about the cake toppers, etc, tomorrow. I've also got a lot of catching up to do. I'm about 45 pages behind.

(We hope Bubba is feeling better )

Hi Ian. Glad you arrived back safe and sound and had such a great wedding trip.

I'm working on it... I am... :goodvibes & at 5 1/2 nonths... I'll let you know...

It was great too... but the girls next to me laughing at Pierce Brosnan's singing... :headache:

You know Marilyn... I thought the english woman in the film when she took the inflatable dinghy out to the boat looked just like you... I was picturing you balancing on the boat!!!

I must go look at who I look like!!:)

Welcome home Jackie and Cherie. We're all a bit jealous of you both.

Hello Good morning

Thats what I told my sister too. I said oh I get more rice crispy treats!!!

I have been planning their cruise for them so I know what I need and where it is (I think?:rotfl: ). I will miss Matt but he is ok with it since he knows my mom needs my help.

My mom let me tell my sister after school and she flipped out screaming and jumping up and down. She and I are very close so she has been begging for me to go too. My mom also said she is excited now and a she feels like she had a huge weight lifted off her.

Jill that is wonderful news :thumbsup2

Ok... I have to go put a rake through my hair and then head out... I'm going to go see Mamma Mia at the one plex in town...

See you all later...

I love it and cannot wait for DVD soon.

Well, I was supposed to be seeing Oasis tonight, but someone in Toronto attacked Noel on stage Sunday, and now the concert here is postponed as he is too sore to perform  (mad at the idiot that stormed the stage, not Noel!) I'm hoping I can attend Dec 15 instead now.
Kathe

Well I am not surprised because Noel can be very rude person and very cheeky. He was cheeky to mafia germany and they knocked him out I think two or three years ago and not sure if it was him or his brother? broke teeth , had come back to UK for repair it.

Well, what happened to everybody?

I suppose I should head to bed anyway. My head isn't pounding quite as strongly as a migraine, but enough so that I'll feel better lying down.

Goodnight all! :cloud9:

Hello Holly

thank god NO SNAKES photos :lmao:

I think I was sleeping while you chat.

I was reading the magazines (cannot remember which one) about the migraine. It said if you had a long lie in the morning, you will get bad migraine. If you get up very early morning, migraine can be less?:confused3

I don't agreed with it as I get up early all the times with kids, still have bad migraine sometime.

Ian and Suske

WELCOME HOME

Hi Jackie and Cheri

Scottishwee35

Good morning all!

Back to work today ... YUCK! I can only imagine what is waiting for me and the hundreds of emails to be plowed through. At least it will be a short week.

I'm very happy to be back eating a normal breakfast, and now that the vacation/wedding/honeymoon is behind me, being right back on track with the WW program.

The dogs come home this morning. I am sure that they have been plotting retribution.

I think on this trip we may have found a dog sitter. Cheri said that if we will bring her up from AZ, she'd be very happy to dog sit for Truman and Tallulah.

That sounds like a win-win-win situation. Cheri gets a holiday in Chicago, we save a bit of money, and the kids get to stay home.

However, I'm not certain if Cheri is up for dealing with Tallulah and her evil plots.

I ache all over from 5 days of Disneyland and California Adventure.

Cake Topper

I read that there were a lot of questons regarding the cake topper.

I found the woman who does them, Jilly, on-line when I was looking for same-sex toppers.

I just did not like the standard commercial toppers available. It always looked to me like the bride was pried off and two grooms were stuck together.

Jilly did a fantastic job. I had sent her some photos of ourselves and description of whatever unique characteristics that might not show up in a photo (Sukie's nose ring, etc).

I also sent her photos of the dogs.

I provided her with a detailed description of what we were wearing but no photos.

Jilly did an awesome job. There was SO MUCH attention to detail, that does not show up in the the photos (the straw pattern of the hats, stitching on the shoes and clothing, the bead jacket buttons, etc).

Hi Ian and welcome home. Glad you had such a good time. Looking forward to pics and a report of your trip.

I see one problem with Cherie dog sitting - she is likely to be on one or two of your vacations too!!!:lmao: Next September for example, and of course we have the upcoming 2010 itineraries to think about.

They are wonderful. Now I want to get married again!:rotfl:

Ian and Sukie - congrats, welcome home and I can't wait to see pictures!

Holly - sorry about Tyler's bad day....loved the zoo pics!

hope everyone is well!!

My word, I am so impressed with Samantha...she is just learning so much. She came home spouting off about liquid, solids and gasses and all sorts of science things last night.

My poor Haley - she is now the OLDEST in her class and the SMALLEST (shortest)...they have a growth chart on the wall and she is at the bottom! Last night she ate three whole tacos though, so maybe she is going to have a growth spurt!

John was rained out last night and tonight he is working so girls night! Whooo hoooooo!

I am actually going to root for OSU this weekend.....maybe they can bump #1 down for us!!

That's funny! and so true.

I can see that Julie Walters could be your older sister, but you're prettier and younger looking than her. I love her too.

Good morning everyone. I've read a few pages back and decided to do a summary instead of quoting. No reason, I just feel like it.

Kelly about the API scores of our school. Our home school is a 4 but we transferred to a school a few blocks up from us. Our school has a 75% transfer rate. We actually live in Ontario because our front door is in Ontario but we are closer to Upland and all of their schools. The high school is on our street and a few blocks from our house. For some reason all the Ontario schools have bad APIs and all the Upland ones have 7 or above. Don't ask why, I have no idea. Interesting about the headaches too.

Marilyn, when is the wedding? Are you remarrying John or finding a new one? The cake toppers wouldn't have to travel as far and you can finally get that cake :lmao:

Holly, great appointment and great pictures. You've never sewn :scared1:

V, I'm so happy to hear about Samantha doing well in school. It's so cool when they like it and are excited about it.

Welcome back Ian and Sukie and Jackie and Cheri. It was quiet around here without you.

Good morning!

WELCOME HOME - Jackie, Cheri, Ian & Sukie :goodvibes Glad you're home safe.

Today is my day off for the week - started out w/ having the AC guy here - things weren't cooling off like they're supposed to and since unit is only 5 months old I called. He was here for about 1/2 an hr and everything is supposed to be back on track.

2010 Special Cruise Itineraries
Disney has not yet officially announced any special itineraries for 2010.

However, I believe the Magic will cruise to Northern Europe and the Baltic in June and July 2010, on a 12-night itinerary. The port schedule for Copenhagen, Denmark shows the Magic will be in port on June 15, June 27, July 9 and July 21. It also shows the ship will be arriving from Warnemunde (port closest to Berlin) and departing for Oslo, Norway.

Cruises to Alaska in summer 2010 were previously rumored, based on the fact that Disney has requested a permit to visit Glacier Bay from 2010-2019. However, Glacier Bay permits are granted only once every 10 years. Getting a permit now is the only way Disney can cruise to Alaska during the entire period (2010-2019). If it is granted the permit, Disney can release any years it does not intend to use. I believe it is more likely that Disney would begin cruising to Alaska once its new ships come online in 2011 and 2012.

2010 Themed Cruises
Themed cruises have not yet been announced for 2010. However, some of the themed cruises that have been offered in the past include:

Disney Vacation Club member cruise in late September
Halloween-themed cruises for the sailings that include October 31
pin-trading cruise in mid-November
holiday-themed cruises for the entire month of December on both ships
2010 Drydock Plans
None announced yet.

I'm definately going to be trying for that 1st Baltic cruise :thumbsup2

Kelly & Gydell - sending you a pm about your TA

Kelly & Gydell - forgot to add...do they do a waitlist?

Well - it appears I'm keeping myself company today....so will try to go do something to entertain myself. Trying to see if I have the $ to go to the $300 store. May treat myself to a salad with either chicken or steak on top. Need to decide where I'd do this if I do do this.

Maybe I'll just see what's in the fridge and do the :laundy: like I should be doing.....decisions, decisions :rotfl:

Do you think we would have to book on the first to go on the TA?

I have to get the kids early today but I do have a few decisions to make. I should get Ethan's hair cut but I'm lazy. I'm wondering what to eat for lunch too

Oh, and then we went up to my work to say hi because Tyler just loves the 80 year old guy I work for. He's a retired Marine Captain and Tyler just thinks he's soooooo cool, especially after he learned that he used to be a Boy Scout too! ;)

Then we went to the Boy Scout offices to sign Tyler up. He was all over the store, wanting everything in it! :lmao: I told him on payday we'll go buy the shirt he needs, but the woman working there says she tells everybody not to buy the pants because the whole outfit is $100, but if you just get the shirt and the bare minimum it's $60. She says you almost never see kids wearing the uniform pants, just jeans or khakis depending on what they're doing.

Now I'm waiting for the leader guy to return my phone call to tell me what day we meet. I'm hoping it's a day Tyler's with me because I really want to be a part of this. And I don't think his dad will like me telling him, "Oh, I signed Tyler up for scouts and you have to take him on _______day". ;)

The woman told me the leader will ask if I want to join too, and Tyler went nuts with excitement over that idea! So of course, I'm sure I will (provided it's a day he's with me). :thumbsup2

If your scouts is anything like ours then you will have den meetings twice a month or even weekly (you and Tyler, or at least one parent at all times) pack meetings parent and son, and activities optional events. While it is fun to attend some of this stuff as a mom, most boys have a dad with them and it's a good bonding situtation for them. At our pack meetings it is usually the whole family that goes. We are a very inclusive pack of siblings since our Pack leader has a daughter same age as our girls (we joined the pack with friends) that daughter is also in my girl scout troop so we tryt o even combine girl and boy scout events when possible. I hope Tyler enjoys scouts. The first year or so is alot of learning & group activities and he will for sure need your help as social situtations can be tricky even without the issues he is faced with.
