I haven't caught up yet but had to share the great news. I AM GOING ON A DISNEY CRUISE OCT.18!!!!:cool1:  :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: My parents are paying for me to go with them on their vacation to help them out and tell them what to do!!! My mom really wanted me to come as she knew she would need help and my stepdad agreed!!!! I can't sit stil and am very excited. It has been a great day and it looks like things might actually start to get better!
This is GREAT news Jill! And you really need the break too!

Did I miss it??? How did it go this afternoon???

No, you didn't miss anything, I've been trying to just catch up little by little, a couple posts every few minutes, but without sacrificing time with Tyler. :thumbsup2

Holly, how did the meeting go?

Now Tyler's in the tub for a couple more minutes, so the update is just another good med check appointment. Ice Queen didn't come, fortunately. Dad, however, got there before us and was already in talking with the doctor, so I'm not sure what that's about, but I suppose it doesn't matter because the appointment resulted in the doctor suggesting we make no med changes for now. That's what I was hoping for because he only planned on having Tyler stay on the med for a few months. I personally think he should stay on it for the rest of the school year and have his adjustment to being off meds occur during the summer, but we'll see when the time comes.

Today was a HORRIBLE day for Tyler. He was punching kids, and RUNNING AWAY from the teachers who tried to talk to him about it, and threatening to beat them up, etc. :sad2: In fact, he was sent to the office and the teacher was about to call me to come remove him from school for the day when I showed up to pick him up for his appointment. She asked what the heck happened to him and wondered if I'd forgotten his meds this morning and I told her, no, it's just the unpredictableness of his issues. But fortunately, days like this are fewer than last year, so this is still an improvement for him.

Tyler did a great job of talking to the doctor about his day though and the doctor praised him for that.

Holly, I'm sorry today wasn't such a great day for Tyler  Good for you for putting it into perspective, though, allowing you to see that there is an improvement

Oh, and then we went up to my work to say hi because Tyler just loves the 80 year old guy I work for. He's a retired Marine Captain and Tyler just thinks he's soooooo cool, especially after he learned that he used to be a Boy Scout too! ;)

Then we went to the Boy Scout offices to sign Tyler up. He was all over the store, wanting everything in it! :lmao: I told him on payday we'll go buy the shirt he needs, but the woman working there says she tells everybody not to buy the pants because the whole outfit is $100, but if you just get the shirt and the bare minimum it's $60. She says you almost never see kids wearing the uniform pants, just jeans or khakis depending on what they're doing.

Now I'm waiting for the leader guy to return my phone call to tell me what day we meet. I'm hoping it's a day Tyler's with me because I really want to be a part of this. And I don't think his dad will like me telling him, "Oh, I signed Tyler up for scouts and you have to take him on _______day". ;)

The woman told me the leader will ask if I want to join too, and Tyler went nuts with excitement over that idea! So of course, I'm sure I will (provided it's a day he's with me). :thumbsup2

okay I'm buying into the high pressure issue, what do you do about it?

yes, I'll tell them I have more important people & things to celebrate with that day

I watch the news/weather religiously. If there is a big H over my area I know that I have to take Flonase and clairitin that morning first thing. Also, steam shower helps and periodic saline (the kind without chemicals) throughout the day. Sometimes I end up taking tylenol. I try not to take anything past the nasal meds because it interferes with the blood pressure meds and I don't like taking anything extra. Some people can't take any caffeine on High pressure days too. And the tanens (sp?) in wine also affect sinuses.

I get headaches and other strange aches etc when a thunderstorm is due. sometimes I don't know and think 'that's why' when the thunder hits!

I was telling Nan about this a few weeks ago... A couple of years ago, my sister and I started noticing that we would have the same sinus headaches at the same time. I started noticing that the pattern was during the Santa Ana winds that we get here in southern California. So, we started emailing or calling each other every time we had a headache. Soon after we realized it was specifically when we had high pressure weather. After about 20 times having headaches the same exact time and day ("Do you have a headache today?" "Yes" "good me too") we knew it was the high pressure. Then I started talking to my sinus doctor asking if other people were complaining about their sinuses. Then one day the weather man said, "High pressure day today, in case you noticed your sinuses and allergies kicking in today!" For a while I started thinking I was having a stroke. Strokes run in my family and my mother had them much younger than I am now. Much relief when we realized that it was weather related. When I was in humidity I would get migranes that knocked me out.

My sister gets migraines based on the barometric pressure.

See above. I also noticed that Gaylean would mention having a headache every time I had one on the high pressure days.

Molly and Wilson (him the most) love staying in their jammies. They try it when ever they can, on the weekends sometimes I have to tell them to get dressed at 4pm

We live in jammies here, esp. the shorts PJ pals from Disney.

HEY EVERYBODY...

IT'S KELLY'S BIRTHDAY ON MONDAY!!!!

& SHE'S EXCUSED NAN, ME AND MOM FROM JURY DUTY BECAUSE OF IT!!!

As it should be!

On the way to the polar bear/seal exhibit:

Seals were swimming all over and above us over the top of the tunnel, but I wasn't quick enough with the camera to get any. Sometimes polar bears sit on top of this tunnel and that just cracks me up!

On the way out of the polar bear area, you can leave your handprint on the ice wall:

Checking out the zebras. Next to Tyler is my friend Debbi's 2 year old boy Brendan. I've been friends with his mom since 1st grade:

Tyler decided he should try an Egyptian pose since the giraffes have an Egyptian themed area. I wasn't quick enough with the camera to fully capture it:

Well, I've never sewn in my life until about a year ago when I had to sew a rip in Tyler's bear (Bo) that he carries almost everywhere, then just recently 2 patches on his karate uniform. Since I have no idea what I'm doing, the 1st one is starting to come loose, so I'm headed to re-sew it. I think I'm learning though because the 2nd one I did seems much more sturdy. :thumbsup2 My head started to pound an hour ago, but I promised Tyler I'd do this tonight so he doesn't look sloppy in tomorrow's class.

Well, what happened to everybody?

I suppose I should head to bed anyway. My head isn't pounding quite as strongly as a migraine, but enough so that I'll feel better lying down.

Goodnight all! :cloud9:

Hello Everyone!

We are back in Chicago! Our flight arrived back at about 4PM and we got home via El by about 5:30.

We had a fantastic time in California. I think we're still in a bit of shock!

They party was incredible and we had a wonderful time. I was worried that we were a little bit quiet, but it was because we were just so overwhelmed and truly speechless over how wonderful everything and everybody were.

As I think I told most people, though we have been together for 21 years, we have never received any external support or approval for our relationship. I don't think we were prepared for people to celebrate our wedding with us.

It was FANTASTIC too see so many friends from the cruise and have them celebrate with us.

I know I'm going to have to get CDs of photos from the folks who were there taking them, because we have hardly any photos at all.

I'm going to keep it brief for this posting. Naughty Jackie and Cheri kept us up late and we got up early for the flight.

I have to start getting up again at 4:30 AM, so I am going to go to bed now and try and get a good night's sleep.

I'll post more about the cake toppers, etc, tomorrow. I've also got a lot of catching up to do. I'm about 45 pages behind.

(We hope Bubba is feeling better )

If you aren't there it can't be the entire table you know!!!:lmao:

Enjoy the film.

I'm working on it... I am... :goodvibes & at 5 1/2 nonths... I'll let you know...

Enjoy:goodvibes I saw this a couple of weeks ago and loved it!

Kathe

It was great too... but the girls next to me laughing at Pierce Brosnan's singing... :headache:

You know Marilyn... I thought the english woman in the film when she took the inflatable dinghy out to the boat looked just like you... I was picturing you balancing on the boat!!!

I'm home safe and sound! Had a FANTASTIC time playing at Disneyland & DCA. It was so great to see everybody at the picnic Saturday...has anyone posted photos yet? I have about 56 pages to catch up on, don't think I'll get through them tonight. :goodvibes

....back later.....

.

Highlights:

Sukie is THE funniest man I've EVER met, sorry Jon ;)

Bubba didn't wear a Hawaiian shirt like Nan and family!

I love drunk Venetia.

Nan spent 75.00 on cupcakes :lmao: :lmao:

Some kid spilled my home made salsa before Bubba could taste it    the funny part was that Cheri told him it was the best she had ever eaten :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

This is what WW leader eats on vacation:
Monte Cristo

Well, up to page 50 but out of time. I haven't even opened my suitcases...gotta fish out my grooming aids for the morning and hopefully a clean outfit to wear to work. :upsidedow

P.S. I'm SOOOOOOOO interested in the Baltic, provided I can get the joints back in shape for all the walking....otherwise it would be a relaxing TA crossing for me...maybe. Can't wait of 10/7 in case there are even MORE surprises revealed. (Looks like there are only FOUR 12 night Baltic cruises....you can bet those puppies will sell out day one!)

.

. Naughty Jackie and Cheri kept us up late and we got up early for the flight.

We had to cram in every minute of 'visiting' possible.....it has to hold us over for an entire year (unless....trips to Chicago just have to be made for one reason or another).

Once again, thanks for letting us come on your honeymoon with you! Also, thanks for pushing me around...the "Band Played On" moment will be with me forever!
