Michelle, I just saw Clear Lake on the TV news......the water was up to the news broadcaster's knees and Ike still isn't going to hit for another 6 hours. It's so big, it's scary. They announced that the people who didn't evacuate should write their social security numbers on their arms. Can you imagine? If they told me that, I would NOT be staying!!!

Hi Gaylean, I'm good! Going to WDW in two weeks and I'm getting excited. We extended our stay so now we'll be there for almost a week. We're meeting Monica and Lisa and Darrell and doing the Epcot Food and Wine Fest.

Tonight I'm chillin' watching the storm news and dising. How about you? I wish I had some champagne to drink, but I don't. I'm drinking water!

The water has ALREADY risen 6 feet at Galveston and 3-4 feet at Clear Lake. (my sister lives in Clear Lake...) and the storm is still about 12 hours away from landfall...

Wow, that's very scary! I'm so glad your sister and Brian are safe.

I thought they were evacuating everyone in TX to AZ I am a ding dong.

Ethan has a sore throat and I was going to make meat loaf, which is his favorite but I think that would be mean. Anyone have a suggestions for soft food? He had soup for lunch.

Any food turns into soft food by the time you swallow it because it's all chewed up. Unless he swallows it whole! That's the only way it would matter.

Not sure if the festival is going on at DL too. Maybe another left coaster will know better than me. I can't wait to taste the champagne at France......and they'll have food and wine kiosks all around world showcase. I'm excited.

I've been looking at one way air fares to London**....just in case there is a transatlantic in my future...one way is so expensive might as well go round trip and do a Baltic or whatever else will be going on.

......patiently waiting till October 7........

**Aer Lingus has the least expensive one way fares, but aren't they more likely to be blown up.......JOKING......
