we are good driving down for the weekend, but I just couldn't afford the extra, flight and hotel for the "event" :sad1: I'm sad I really wish I could be one of those witnesses, but I'll be there in spirit that day and for sure on Saturday for whatever the party is    Kelly, we gotta get that finalized and out to the guests :dance3:

Uh, Yes :scared1:

Furthermore, if you can't change teachers and this teacher even dares to ridicule Molly, you can tell the teacher that if she wants ridicule, there are two pissy gay men who will fly in from Chicago, and provide her with some personal ridicule she will never forget.

(We have been to enough gay cocktail parties that we are fighting fit and street tough. She'll feel like she's been hit by a truckload of Vogue magazines.)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Work day is over and I get to DIS for about an hour till I go meet Peg for PIZZA! :woohoo:

Think I'll go look around the Disneyland boards and see what's shaking!

I had such a teacher in the 4th grade and the entire year was a nightmare for me.

How many different classes are there? Does Molly's last teacher have any clout with the principal that she'd be willing to use? Will keep Molly in my thoughts & prayers....when does she start school?

Lisa has had many "discussions" with Ian's teachers (the last 2 years atleast) as they don't seem to want to follow his IEP. Hopefully this year will be easier on them both.

I'm staying dry...this wasn't too big of a deal (thank goodness). Lawn is happy w/ all the rain :rotfl: This weather doesn't make me want to leave the house though (not that I want to leave the house on sunny days).

Make sure you take pics this weekend - then post them....I'm sure it will be great.

I had my crappy teacher in 6th grade (hmmm, like Molly) and it did cause me damage. I know I can't let her stay in a toxic environment.

Sadly, her teacher for 5th grade was asked to leave the school. She was a veteran tech worker in MIS and Accounting and come 9/11 she had that re-evaulate life time and cashed in her retirement and went back to school so she could give back and started teaching 2 years ago. She is a wonderful teacher. But she is also a very STRONG VOICED WOMAN. Of course she and I get along great, but as in most public school environments a person that speaks their mind and voice is not highly thought of. She scared the crap out of the 2 1st year teachers, one of which quit after her first month, the replacement was also a mousy not strong woman. Thankfully Molly was placed in her core teachers class, and removed from the other one (the one that quit and her replacement) it was a long school year. So short answer her teacher isn't on campus anymore.

My plan will be to attack this on Friday, or perhaps with email to start.

Molly starts class on Monday. I'd hate to not have her moved before the first day, but I think that will likely be what happens here.:sad2:

Nan, wishing you best of luck on this. I sure hope you're able to get it worked out.

My friend just texted me back, saying that yes, it's been raining heavily every day, but they're all having an absolute blast anyway! She also sent a picture from her phone of the 4 of them with the castle in the background, and they're all wearing rain ponchos, but happy! :goodvibes

Signing off - going to watch the news & see what Fay has in store for me tomorrow...then to bed.

Nite nite everyone.

That sounds great to me. The problem is that, if we were getting married now, I feel like Jon (not me) would want to compete with his friend's weddings. We have been to 50 weddings in the last few years and Jon has been in most of them. Most of them were really extravagant. The last one that he was in last April was a huge wedding and they hired entertainment  The stupid part was that we all just wanted to dance. A HUGE portion of the guests left before the DJ even started because there were so many other things going on. It was a mess to us. Then the went for a month to Italy. The husband does Jon's exact job so we know this was all charged! I'm glad we got married when we did. Our friends were just impressed that we had a house that they could hang out in, we didn't need an extravagant wedding to impress them!

If Tom felt this way, I would remind him that I am a cheap date. :rotfl2: I do not require fancy.

Now, cruising--that is a different issue--nothing but the best! :sail:

Jan :thumbsup2

I was. I flew from age 15-27. I always flew as a hobby and it was an expensive one, so not much. I'd love to fly again someday, but I've had high BP and been on meds for it for about 10 years now, so I doubt it will happen again for me. Maybe Wilson will fly, that would be fun :thumbsup2

Sorry you cannot be a pilot.

Can you be a passenger? Just not a pilot?

Jan :confused3
