hope all is well with everyone. I am trying to download pics but something seems wrong with the camera.

It's been a crazy couple of weeks. We had a RIF at work and now we have mandatory PTO days this and next Friday. We made it through the storm butit was a nerve wracking all the waiting. Of course we closed the office and schools were closed yesterday and really didn't need to be.

Samantha loves school....she got hit on the first day - her seatmate, leans over and says, hey I am Bernie, what's your name --- and he reminded me so much of one our frineds who is a big player....it was funny. hopefully if my camera cooperates I can post her pics.

This morning we finished watching a really old, but funny Disney movie called "The Boatniks". Tyler picked it out and it's really cute! Anybody seen it? I'd never heard of it. Not sure why he's been picking these old movies lately, but they've been great choices. I'm going to look today for Gilligan's Island on DVD for us to watch tonight. I think he'd get a kick out of it for sure.

You REALLY need to find "Island at the Top of the World".. Ask Sukie....he was HIGHLY impressed!!! (they showed it up on the Ariel screen one night and I made them come and watch it with me... I hear it's on DVD... right Ian???

I don't have to worry about it, I've never been an athlete and I don't think I ever will be.

I just got a letter from Wilson's school and looks like we are being called on for back to school night on the wedding day, so best that I've decided already to make it for the weekend only, otherwise I'd have a bad parent wrap on my head for missing that school event.

YEAH! I was afraid you were going to have to cancel. Can't wait to see you!

Does Samantha do full days with kindergarten or 1/2days? Glad to hear she's loving it!

I guess I'm in a funny place in my mind, because frankly it's not that bad. I'm sad the tree is having to be cut down, but it's just a tree and our neighbor is being SOOOOOOO good about taking care of it. The tree is already to a stump and it will be ground out by end of day and maybe even have the replacement put it. I guess it could be a thing to be mad about, but I think the stuff that has gone on with our rental has made me more mad, since those actions were taken on purpose and this guy was just dumb when he hit the tree.(stupid when he continued to drive away and split it in 2)

Besides, a little birdie in upstate NY told me that you had arranged for pony rides at our celebration dinner in the parking lot of Dunkin' Donuts.

What a gal! What a pal!

We love rain so hopefully that's all this turns out to be. I think we both feel a little out of sorts though as we no idea what to expect - we've been through earthquakes, tornados and blizzards but never a hurricane.

we are good driving down for the weekend, but I just couldn't afford the extra, flight and hotel for the "event" I'm sad I really wish I could be one of those witnesses, but I'll be there in spirit that day and for sure on Saturday for whatever the party is Kelly, we gotta get that finalized and out to the guests

The Disney Cruise Line® continues to monitor Tropical Storm Fay very closely.

Tropical Storm Fay has stalled along the eastern coast of Florida near our homeport of Port Canaveral, and its path is uncertain at this point.

For this reason, Port Canaveral has been closed by the Port Authority and the Aug. 21, 2008 sailing of the Disney Wonder® will set sail on its 3-night itinerary from Port Everglades, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Other than the departure port change, we do not anticipate any additional changes in the upcoming Disney Wonder itinerary. Transportation will be provided for Guests with transfers and those arriving by private vehicle at Port Canaveral. It is important that departing Guests park at our terminal in Port Canaveral as the ship is scheduled to return there on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008.

Thanks Monica. I just texted that to my friend at WDW who's sailing tomorrow. I'm sure she's probably already been notified, but just in case.

Reduction in Force (as in work force) and Paid time off (as in accrued vacation) all means to help ones bottom line....

Speaking of weather......we are waiting for Hurricane Fay, the first one this year to even come close to Florida, and it has decided to go straight up the middle of Florida just like Charlie did 4 years ago!

I guess we are not expecting too much wind, just mostly rain rain rain rain rain. I'll have to use my big Mickey umbrella today!

Should be all over by Thursday.

Today is our 35th wedding anniversary! We have a caregiver for Patrick and we are going to the Angel restaurant at Mexico in EPCOT tonight.

Hi Marilyn, Yes, we are planning to come. The dates are 7/27/12-8/12/12, so it is a little earlier and we were thinking it would be hot and wet there, but I guess we really have to be ready for any weather. We are hoping to do a month in Italy, France and England - 1 week in Italy, 1 week in France and then 2 weeks in England getting there one week before the Olympics begin to get some sight seeing in and leave before the Olympics end to get home and watch it on TV. I've been watching the web site and get email alerts about the progress. But we are anxious to see if Chicago gets the 2016 Olympics too. It will be announced on 10/2/09, but we suspect it may go to Rio (S. Am. has never had an Olympics) or Tokyo (it's been 54 years since they've had it. Obviously we hope Chicago gets it. I have a goal to see as many Olympic Stadiums as possible, so far I've been to LA (obviously - went to many of the 84 games), Montreal, Barcelona - have only flown over Atlanta.
