Cute pictures Shannon!

GOOD MORNING everybody!

Have to jump in the shower and be to work in 35 minutes, so I'm out of here for now. Have a great day!

Well my family got more bad new today. They don't think my step-dad will be able to walk anymore. He had Parkinson's. It is really sad and he is upset. My mom was going to cancel their cruise but he said he wanted to go as this may be his last chance. My mom is beginning to freak out that I am not going with them and begging me to go but I don't have the $$$. It is really sad but I am redoing their excursions but don't think he'll be able to get off at Grand Caymen. This was supposed to be a fun vacation but my mom will be stressed and that will stree my sister and that will make my step-dad feel bad. He thinks he can walk and won't admit he can't and tries and them falls. I wish I could go so I could tell them what to do and where to go and keep the peace.

 best wishes for your family

Greetings from Disneyland.

This is just a quickie, because it's 9:00 PM and with the time change I'm about to pass out (remember I usually go to bed around 9:30 PM back home).

The travel went very smoothly.

We got to the HoJo (which is great value for the money) at about 2:30 PM and were in Disneyland by 3:30 PM.

Sukie insisted we sit in separate seats on the Matterhorn Bobsleds because we aren't married yet.

We ended up not eating at the Blue Bayou. The only vegetarian dish they had was a grilled portobello mushroom and Sukie doesn't do funghi.

I apologize for not saying more or commenting. So many of you are going through so much, please accept our best wishes and hope for bright outcomes.

OK, and now, to bed, before I pass out.

Enjoy your trip! And we always sit separate on the Matterhorn - sits are really not big enough for 2 comfortably we think!

Congratulations on your big day!!1

Shannon, I also have never heard of an employer only giving one week of vacation. They're extreme tightwads.

Holly - I forgot to post this last night.

I only get 7.25 hours for holidays. I work 9 hour days but only 72 per pay period. So they divide the 72 hours between 10 business days and I end up with 7.25 hours.

Check and see what your state laws are on flex employees - that's what I am since I don't work a traditional 8 hr day/40 hr week. And that's how they can only pay 7.25 hours for each holiday. I consider it a trade-off for getting the flexibility of my schedule.

Well I read and replied to half the pages, and then forgot about the others!!! I just came back on and couldn't understand where all these other posts had come from!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hey has anyone heard from Angie and Dennis lately???? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I miss them!!!

i miss them too. Angie is still posting on the Geeks thread so I go and nose over there occasionally to see what they are doing. Last I saw they had a house.

Pj also posts over there sometimes.:sad1:

hi guys! How is everyone?:) :) :)

How many peole are heading to CA this weekend?

Hi Lisa. i was wondering where you were. good to see you.

So sorry Jill. It must be very hard for you and your mom particularly. you seem to be in a difficult spot at the moment too. Try not to get stressed and get ill.

Great to hear from you and that you arrived safe and well.

Sorry about Blue Bayou. Chefs always think vegetarians like mushrooms don't they? Did you ask the chef if he could do something different. They usually can.

Oh and John and I sit on separate seats on the Bobsled and we are married!!! Could be more to do with the trouble getting in and back out of the seats at our age though!!!:rotfl2:

Good evening everybody. Last week I did a job interview that I was surprised to get because I didn't meet the qualifications. The interview was okay and it was an experience. The lady said she hoped to let people know last Friday if they were going to the next level of interview, and I asked if she'd let me know either way. She said definitely. Well, now its Wed night and I still haven't heard anything (even after I phoned and left a message this morning), but the ad was back in Saturday's paper, so I think I did not get the job, which is fine, but its rude not to phone and let me know after she said she would. I'm irritated.

Marilyn/Monica/Cherie - Nothing specific to say, but didn't want to leave you out :)

And last but definitely not least:
Ian & Sukie - Enjoy your wedding! Wish we could be there. Looking forward to seeing pics!

I think it is extremely rude not to let you know about the job. Keep positive Shannon.

As far as Monica, Cherie and myself go, thanks for not leaving us out!!! WE must be boring at the moment!:rotfl:

I agree with your final comments to Ian and Sukie.

Hello Everyone, Marilyn :disrocks:

Morning Deborah!!:cool1:

This is me at 1.5 or 2 with a bad haircut (actually I just had bad hair as a child). Surprisingly it took another 4 years before my mom gave up on trimming my bangs :lmao: she never could get them straight :lmao:

Lovely picture. They both have a look of Mummy when she was a little girl!:)

IAN & SUKIE - hope today is as wonderful a day as we all hope it is for you. I will be thinking of you all day and sending you my love. CONGRATULATIONS!

btw - loved the story about the Matterhorn :-)

Lisa - good to see you checking in...hope the move goes well this weekend. Enjoy your time w/ Daniel.

Shannon - on the job front - things will happen when they're meant to happen. It may be that you're meant to stay where you are to have the 5 weeks vacation and the $ to join us all on another cruise in 2010 :lmao:

Thanks also for not leaving me out :-)

Jill - no need for apologies on vents here - that's what we're here for. Lots of hugs to you & your family. I hope they will still go on the cruise & are able to relax and enjoy themselves.

Gaylean - WOW! What a week! And you're still standing?? Shows the stock you come from.  from me. Hang in there.:goodvibes

Hi Marilyn & Deborah!

Michelle - like the job for Shannon - not getting the land now means there's something else better in store for you. Keep the faith :goodvibes Keep me informed on your travel plans so that we can coordinate a meeting. :thumbsup2

Kaylee - good to see you. Hope the sight keeps getting stronger and remember that we're here thinking/praying for you and sending you our love.

Thank you for representing us all at the special events happening today and this weekend. We are with you in spirit and envious of you too (insert little green monster here).

Have a great time - drive safe and take TONS of pictures!

Will have to wait & see the new pics posted last night/this am when I get home. Maybe I'll even find a pic of me about 2yo and post it (maybe).

I could always post the pic of me with Prince Charles (but I think I was 6/7/8).

Ok - what else can I say.....I haven't noticed anything yet w/ the new meds. Still close to yelling at people at work (right now I want to tell them all to shut up). Still teary. It's only been 2 weeks so not expecting any miracles yet.

As they say....same ol' same ol'.

Thanks Lisa! I meant to research this last night but forgot. I figure I have until Thanksgiving because I think that will be my first paid holiday. And yes, that's a good point about the flexibility being a nice tradeoff. :thumbsup2

Give it a couple more weeks Monica. Sorry you have to go through this though.
