:thumbsup2 KELLY--NAN!! Note, Ian does not like this CAKE, but apparently the balloon sculpture is fine. Perhaps it would surround the chuppah?

Jan :earsgirl:

Hmm ... a balloon chuppah? I wonder if it's ever been done?

I did find some chuppahs I like:

BUT, there's to be no chuppah at the Old Orange County Courthouse

I sure hope this does not boomerang on you :scared:

I remember a couple times getting to be friends with the wife of one of Tom's staff and then that guy was let go. Boy was that wierd to see those ladies in the store. I would try not to and if I saw them first, I would go the other way.

Presents puts a whole new spin on it. :sad2:

?? :confused3 Would you actually go to a party expecting all the guests to bring gifts when it is not your Birthday, farewell or shower? :confused3

Jan :rolleyes1

After being asked if I was coming about 8 times today, and saying no, I finally told him that I was extremely and sincerely flattered that he wanted me to come to his party, but I had personal commitments that were a higher priority and so would not be able to make it.

To this he said, "I'll leave a parking space at the front of the house for you."

My guys are like big goofy puppies sometimes.

I'm going to my 20-year high school reunion tomorrow night!

May you be granted much courage!

I know I would need it to go to my high school reunion! I'd go to see if they could fit that many walkers (zimmer frames for our UK friends) into one ballroom.

nope not yet, I was sidetracked, had to do the sign off on mom's house wed and yesterday Paul & I had are ride in the speedster to visit a client in Petaluma and friends in Napa. It was a lovely day. I have a cute picture to post of us on the GG bridge, later I will. Shortly I head out to get the kiddos. My girlfriend and I are bringing her kids and we are going to play the day at the Boardwalk then Olympic BBQue at my sisters.

I did get a reply from my friend who is a prof at SJSU, he is going to check out the ground for me and offer some help in short cuts, so that's good.

I'll post when I have more news.:thumbsup2

Nan - what are you planning to do with Political Science? I think this is just so damn fantastic!

I've been reading but haven't had much to post. There was a kid (rising 11th grader) at our high school killed today in a teenage car wreck at 1pm this afternoon. The car hit a tree and burst into flames. It is so very sad....

I am home... for a few days at least...

Have to go back a few and catch up...

be back soon...:)

Now Ian... don't you know we can attach balloons to ANYTHING???

(Now do you want helium balloons so everyone can have funny voices later or should we stick with the old fashioned spit induced air???)

OH......MY......GOSH! Jan, thanks so much for bringing these over here. I hadn't seen these yet. Tyler LOVED the ones with him, and he absolutely cracked up over Bubba with Planky! First he thinks Bubba is nuts for wearing the pink wig, and then he asked me, "What's he doing to Planky, smelling him?" :rotfl2: And when he saw the picture of Ian, he told me, "I remember him, he was on the cruise with the guy with the long mustache who uses a cane. And they have that crazy little car." I reminded him the car is called a Smart car and told him the car's name. He just smiled shook his head at me! ;)

Holly... give me time and I will try to email you the pictures myself...

Remind me if I forget... ;)

it has been reallly quiet around here.

I doubt that we will find trouble for ourselves.

Paul is working on our rental house and found something very disturbing. He was pulling up the carpet, as we are having the hardwood floors refinished in the bedrooms as the carpet was dated and dirty. He found a hole cut thru the floor ALL THE WAY THRU THE FLOOR AND SUBFLOOR. It was hid under the carpet in the bedroom. It looks like it was a drug stashing place. We had a tennant a few years back that we suspected that he was growing pot and dealing from the house. When he moved out we found evidence of a grow lab in the garage.

I'm a bit pissed to say the least. This will be a couple grand to repair.:sad2:

It sucks when people take advantage of other people like this.

My best friend found a loaded gun in his attic when he moved in. I just found a pair of crappy shoes and the previous owners credit card bills....

Tornados in Chicago, wonder if Ian & Sukie are ok

Nan starts to hum the theme to the Wiz of Oz...

thanks :)

Yup! But then, I talk to anyone. My family say I can talk to a tree and get it to talk back..... :rotfl:

Jan :rotfl2:

Jan... as an official tree hugger (the birch outside my cabin this morning was VERY happy after the hug...) I thank you very kindly... :flower3:

Lisa, this is so awful. :sad1:

Watching some strange movie on abc with Tom Cruise and these creepy robot type giant creatures that are destroying their city or maybe the world, I don't know, I started watching at 9:20, so I missed the beginning. I can't stand Tom Cruise but am riveted by this creepy movie!

Wow! its quiet today! I'm came back on for afternoon break and only 1 post!
Its sunny and gorgeous here (probably 90F:cool1: ), but we're expecting a thunderstorm tonight. That's okay as long as its after I've gone to bed. Thunder and rain when I'm in bed is relaxing.

I was gone most of the day. I walked the mile to the Capitol Building for a re-enactment of a speech Abraham Lincoln gave here on his way to Washington DC.

I went to Tom's office for lunch break.

Then to the Historical Society to see some displays about Lincoln, who lived 1/4 of his life in Indiana--7-21 years of age.

I spent the early evening putting the wire frames in the signs people will put in their yards for the Governor's race this year.

Then I walked to meet Tom and some friends for beers and conversation. We just got home.

Nice day, good temps for a day of walking!

Jan, what a great day! We live about 2 miles from our capitol building. It's always a great place to find interesting things going on. Our favorite, of course, is the State Christmas tree every year. :goodvibes

Wow, there are aliens inside these giant robot thingies! I wish I'd seen whatever this movie is from the beginning. What ever happened to the days when after commercials, you'd hear a voice saying, "And now....back to _________________" or "___________ will return after these messages." Now I have to check the internet to find out what I'm watching. Good grief.

So now I'm here talking to myself. ;) So I guess I'm telling myself the movie was "War of the Worlds". I never watched it because I can't stand Tom Cruise. Awesome movie! I kept watching because I love Dakota Fanning. She didn't say much in this movie, but that's OK.
