We had a two for the price of one on drinks on one cruise--if they did it on the PC Crossing, I missed it--and I got two flutes of MARTINI and ROSSI ASTI in Rockin Bar D during a scavenger hunt game. I carried one to dinner. How is that different from filling the glass in one's stateroom and carrying it to dinner?
However, if you have your moonshine in an earthenware jug resting on your shoulder so you can catch a swig as you walk to Palo, maybe that would be considered rude.![]()
But is it rude to be carrying that jug?![]()
or is it rude to be swigging as you walk along?:
or is it rude to lose your grip and drop it on someone's kid?![]()

V, what do they do at a K assessment? Just curious. Cute about Haley and the "packpack"!what's up my cruising peeps?
Samamtha had her K assessment today....I took her to my office before hand just because....it was quite funny...everyone was oh she's going into second grade right? Ummmm no!
then poor Haley, my dad sent S a Disney back pack...now Haley wants a packpack (as she calls them)
anyway hope everyone is well, I am on a not sleeping binge,,,,,,,,,,,,,a bad thing.
Yes, I'm trying to look at all angles. The place where I interviewed offers no flexibility for the things I take time off work for with Tyler. They're such a busy office, they need everybody there all the time. That was one thing they stressed. In fact, one secretary was hired on a temporary basis for part-time, working 3 days a week. She's been there 2 months and has worked full-time from the start because they're so busy. But, on the other hand, if I get the job, that's one more secretary doing the work, so it should ease the workload on everybody and not be so intense. But then again, since Tyler's dad never can take off work for school things, as he usually is working out of town, it's nice for me to be able to zip over to the school for whatever's going on, and then back to work. I think it's important for Tyler to have at least one parent who can be there because each time I go to any event, the kids with no parents there are always very sad that their parents couldn't come. I don't know, it's a toughy.Yup, it's a gift!
Seriously, if you look busy when clients come in, it presents a good appearance that the firm is busy and productive. Your voice on the phone and your appearance at the desk do make a difference. Even reading the DIS, the client sees you working at a computer not filing your nails.
When considering a job, it is wise to consider all the angles and the perks you have may be the deal breaker here. Only you can decide.![]()

Exactly. And time is what he needs right now with all his issues going on.Only you can decide which is best for you and for Tyler

More money does not buy you more time with your son.
YUP and it was not the brightest plan ever. I am tired, have three clients to see and maybe 30 miles to drive before I get home again.Good morning Ian & Robert (and Jan if you're still here) and good afternoon Marilyn!
Gee, it looks like Jan stayed up most of the night getting caught up on here!![]()
Well, I suppose I'd better head out to work. It's nice......I'm supposed to start at 8:30, but nobody notices if I get there late. I often roll in around 8:45 or 8:40, but nobody pays any attention. The attorneys usually don't come in until 9 or 9:30 and the office manager doesn't get in until 9. It's a very laid back place.![]()
Jan, you NUT!YUP and it was not the brightest plan ever. I am tired, have three clients to see and maybe 30 miles to drive before I get home again.
I need a head shaking smilie--like "what was I THINKING??

Michelle, I'm confused. I thought you left for the lake yesterday until Friday and I thought you said there was no internet there. What's up?
I like Planky's posts, I do not enjoy the posts of some of the imposters. They seem angry or schizo or .... something...
Planky is hot for Tammy and there are times....but it is funny.

I'd better start making the most out of being 52.
I have a bit of a dilemma, one of the guys who reports to me bought a house a few months ago.
He and his friends are planning a party this coming Saturday night.
He is 24 and his friends range from 22 to 24.
He REALLY wants me to come his party. My whole team has been pestering me to come to this party. My team ranges from 24 to 26 year olds.
For some reason it is a really big deal for them that I show up. It seems really important to Ed that I come to his party and he nags me about it several times a day, and keeps promising me that it will be "awesome."
(I am not quite sure how I became the leader of the "lost boys.")
To make matters worse, I live on the northside, and his house is on the southside near Midway airport. It's over an hour away from me, and the party starts at 6PM.
I really don't know what to do. I really don't want to go, but this seems so important to him.
I have no clue why these guys are so attached to me. It's like I'm their surrogate father or something. In fact, Ed's father is only 3 months older than me.
I mean do I really want to go to a wild house party with a bunch of 22 to 26 year old boys (and don't anybody dare make a comment about that), just to make these guys happy?
I'm exhausted and am going off to bed.
Since I don't know what's going on with this wedding. I just wanted to show you an example of they type of wedding cake I don't want:

SO DID YOU GUYS KNOW:
That is is, "wrong, unethical, bendiing rules and/or rude".....to carry in a glass of your own wine to dinner on the ship? (But apparently not any other location on the ship.)
I didn't........
.
Oh.....I'm not actually sick.....![]()
Really, was just super tired and achy this am and needed some down time. Should have gone in after having lunch with Peg, but instead I came back home and napped. So I guess I must have needed it.
HEY YOU GUYS....back up and see post #2245....I need some reaction here.
