My good news is that my 2009 travel plans have been finalized and I just want to say I LOVE MY SISTER!

I am wondering if I am ever going to get at least one week without multiple crises everyday and having more stress than I can handle?

I won't bore you all with the details, but much of it stems from continually shifting priorities and colleagues thinking that I am their psychic friend and not giving me all the information I need to plan properly.

In a meeting today, I actually said (to a much stunned ensemble), "I am not you're psychic friend, how am I supposed to know what you have discussed in other meetings if you don't share it with me?"

(This was quickly followed by my saying, "What is it about you that makes me want to shove a chair up your nose?")

Fortunately, we actually all do get along quite well. I had said this to Shalisa's husband, who I also go for coffee with everyday.

I just wonder whether it's possible to be engaged in one's work, feel productive and making a contribution without stress? Or, is that a pipe dream?

If it was easy and not stressful, you would be bored. Also, you would be doing a job that a someone without your gifts and skills would be challenged by.

Yep, Peg has changed her birthday adventure from a trip to Jackson Hole to the Tortola cruise! So the family has been given the info and we'll see who all will show up! Cruising is so much easier for a group vacation, I think. Sister Dianne will be rooming with me and we are getting a verandah stateroom.

I'm so excited that the Sept cruise is no longer a 'maybe' and is a 'done deal'

OK...must go find some dinner. I think I've mookey-fookeyed around too long to call DCL and make the change tonight, so I'll do that tomorrow AM.

I'm glad you and the teachers are documenting everything.

It will be interesting to see if Tyler spontaneously volunteers some insight about how he thinks he is doing. As you said before, asking him is less useful.

Actually, I suspect they WILL try to make me look like the nutsy mom you described. I don't think the Dr. will be happy about all 3 adults showing up because of course Tyler is going to want to make everybody happy, so he'll probably agree with both sides. So I'm not sure how the Dr. will handle this. Maybe take me in separately and then dad & stepmom? But there's not time for that because it's just a few minute appt. I don't think dad & stepmom realize that. Good grief. Yeah, I am nutso, but it's because they're making me crazy.

Well at the beer tasting we all had a full beer for all the tastings because Bubba paid and didn't want to taste and Paul (nan's hubby) left after 2 hours!!! So we all had 6 or 7 full beers. I did fall asleep before he let us taste and maybe after too

Goodnight all! Have to get up early enough to drive up to the school tomorrow before work to take Tyler his glasses. Sometime during the day he lost a screw in his frames, so one lense popped out. He saved both pieces, thankfully, so after I dropped him at his dad's I took the glasses to get fixed. It's stripped where the screw is supposed to screw in, so I had to order a new frame, but they managed to connect them temporarily while we wait for the new frame to come in. So I need to take those to him, and I need to take him his field trip shirt they have to wear on field trips because there's another field trip on Friday. It was one they planned at the last minute, so I didn't know about it until I picked him up today and there was no time to run home to grab the shirt before going to karate and to his dad's.

SO.......off to bed. Yeah, I can tell I'm tired because I'm BABBLING!!! Sorry 'bout that.

Hi everyone! I'm pages and pages behind, but wanted to jump on and post this:

I just spoke with my sister (Dylan's mom). She and Dylan and a friend and her kids are on an NCL ship right now, the "Pearl" I think, on an Alaskan cruise. She was telling me how beautiful it is up there and how I really have to do it some time, etc. Then I asked, "Well, how is the ship and the food?"

[Let me interject that she & Dylan & I have been on 3 previous Disney cruises together-Mexican Riv, Eastern & Western and the friend she's with did the Western with us, too. In fact, they had a reservation to do the Magic this summer, but decided to go to Alaska instead. My sister, I think, was starting to think that maybe DCL is over-rated, or maybe she was just getting a little tired of it (is that possible????)]

So she said, "You know, Cheri, it's nice, but it's just not the same as Disney. They nickel and dime you death for one thing and the crew just doesn't have the same sense of service or caring about you." Then she started to tell me about the Free Style dining, but she had another call coming in a had to go.

hee hee hee! It made my day!!!! Neener neener neener!

Hi Marilyn. I'm checking in. Today we didn't even get out of our pjs. We made chocolate cupcakes but for some reason they aren't rising like they should. I was thinking of you when I made them because I know you love cake. I'm making chicken enchiladas with green sauce for dinner and that reminds me of Venetia. Now I just need to find someone that reminds me of champagne

However we must have been propositioned by only blind people, because anyone with even the faintest glimmer of vision could tell that that they might just be barking up the wrong tree.
