HI MARILYN!!!

HI DEBORAH!!!

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Hi everyone! I'm pages and pages behind, but wanted to jump on and post this:

I just spoke with my sister (Dylan's mom). She and Dylan and a friend and her kids are on an NCL ship right now, the "Pearl" I think, on an Alaskan cruise. She was telling me how beautiful it is up there and how I really have to do it some time, etc. Then I asked, "Well, how is the ship and the food?"

[Let me interject that she & Dylan & I have been on 3 previous Disney cruises together-Mexican Riv, Eastern & Western and the friend she's with did the Western with us, too. In fact, they had a reservation to do the Magic this summer, but decided to go to Alaska instead. My sister, I think, was starting to think that maybe DCL is over-rated, or maybe she was just getting a little tired of it (is that possible????)]

So she said, "You know, Cheri, it's nice, but it's just not the same as Disney. They nickel and dime you death for one thing and the crew just doesn't have the same sense of service or caring about you." Then she started to tell me about the Free Style dining, but she had another call coming in a had to go.

hee hee hee!:cool1:  It made my day!!!! Neener neener neener!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Well at least you don't have to deal with all of those DIS friends...I'm still trying to get away from those people :rolleyes1

As promised, here's the easiest, moistest chocolate cake recipe.
Wacky Cake
There are no eggs & no milk in this chocolate wacky cake, and mixing is easy.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon vinegar
5 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup cold water
Preparation:
In an 8x8-inch pan, mix flour, sugar, cocoa and baking soda. Make three wells in the flour mixture. In one put vanilla; in another the vinegar, and in the third the oil. Pour the cold water over the mixture and stir until moistened. Bake at 350°F. oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until it springs back when touched lightly.
NOTE: if you want to get take the whole cake out of the pan for decorating, don't mix in the pan, mix in a bowl. Line the bottom of the pan with wax paper, and then pour batter into pan.

Ian - I love reading your comments/stories, it always makes me smile:) ! Nice to know other people have crappy days at work too!

Jackie - I'm jealous that yet another person is planning a cruise!:goodvibes

Good night to everybody - I'm off to bed, after having watched So You Think You Can Dance - I'm addicted to that show.

I'm kind of disappointed that you never quote me :sad1: Even though you spent the most time with me! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: How are you? Is it Mother's Day yet?

Ah, that explains why I haven't heard from Peggy tonight, she's addicted too.

Goodnight boys and girls.

.

Here is to Steph and Shannon and anyone else who likes it:

I kissed a girl and I liked it.
The taste of her cherry chapstick.
I kissed a girl just to try it.
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it.
It felt so wrong, it felt so right.
Don't mean I'm in love tonight.
I kissed a girl and I liked it.
I liked it.

I wish everyone could hear the beat because it is awesome!

Hi Marilyn. I'm checking in. Today we didn't even get out of our pjs. We made chocolate cupcakes but for some reason they aren't rising like they should. I was thinking of you when I made them because I know you love cake. I'm making chicken enchiladas with green sauce for dinner and that reminds me of Venetia. Now I just need to find someone that reminds me of champagne :lmao:

When I do eventually get to drink some more Champagne then I will be thinking of you!!

My day ---> poo

I am wondering if I am ever going to get at least one week without multiple crises everyday and having more stress than I can handle?

I won't bore you all with the details, but much of it stems from continually shifting priorities and colleagues thinking that I am their psychic friend and not giving me all the information I need to plan properly.

In a meeting today, I actually said (to a much stunned ensemble), "I am not you're psychic friend, how am I supposed to know what you have discussed in other meetings if you don't share it with me?"

(This was quickly followed by my saying, "What is it about you that makes me want to shove a chair up your nose?")

Fortunately, we actually all do get along quite well. I had said this to Shalisa's husband, who I also go for coffee with everyday.

I just wonder whether it's possible to be engaged in one's work, feel productive and making a contribution without stress? Or, is that a pipe dream?

I realklky think you must be a great fun guy to work with/for!!

Mrs. Woody did not get off the ship in Acapulco. I did, and was propositioned 14 times.

Gaylean has been working hard to NOT be at the top of the list!!!:lmao:

I'm here...was just on the phone with Cheri. BTW, she promises to start checking back in. And No, she does not have pictures of the Panama BBQ stuff (she slept through that part!) :lmao:

My good news is that my 2009 travel plans have been finalized and I just want to say I LOVE MY SISTER!

Some of you are going to get to see this :dance3: next September.....

.

I'm so glad we get to meet her at last!!

That is cruel!!!

Good thing you spared Mrs Woody from seeing that or having it happen to her!!!
Mrs. Woody went on on all three PC cruises so far. After the May '05 cruise, Acapulco was her least favorite port.
