I've been over on MOUSE MANAGER looking at restaurant menues.

We've got a tad over two months till ADR booking window opens (about 3/6/09). Hopefully the new reservations system will be up and running...think that's supposed to start testing mid-January.

So, I know on the DDP that Spoodles is a premium (2 TS credits) for dinner...BUT WHAt ABOUT BREAKFAST??? Anyone.....Bueller? :confused3

.

Spoodles is always only one dining credit. It's one of our favorite restaurants.

I had a pretty crappy day.

It was -3F when I left for WW this morning.

The woman who is my receptionist on Sundays and I expected the numbers to be down, and they were. I mean, it's the Sunday before Christmas, many people have started to head home for the holidays, and those who are staying in town, who wants to get out of bed on a Sunday morning when it is so cold?

Oddly enough, the largest meeting was the 8AM meeting, at about 20 people. It was downhill from there

My 9:30AM had about 12 people.

At 10:55 AM, 5 minutes before the start of the 11 AM meeting, the place was empty. My receptionist and I were talking about what the procedure was if no one showed up.

Then 3 people walked in.

I started the meeting at 11AM. At 11:10 AM it was like a bus pulled up! Not a ton of people, but enough to cause a line.

One guy came into the meeting room and wanted to know if I was going to start weighing people. I said, "No, the meeting has started."

I felt it just wasn't right or fair to the people who show up on time, for me to leave them sitting there and bump them for people who had come late. That's not our policy anyway.

It was an incredibly difficult meeting. No matter what I did, nobody would talk. It was stone silence. The other two meetings had been good meetings with lots of discussion.

The angry guy then stomped out of the meeting saying something like, "This is ridiculous."

I wanted to say, "What the ---- do you want me to do about you're coming here late?" (And no, he lives walking distance away, so being late was not due to car trouble).

It made the whole morning just terrible, plus it made me really mad.

I then came home and Sukie was in a fussy mood (maybe he needed a juice box) because he was feeling house-bound. I suggested we go out, but we couldn't because there was a car stuck in the alley behind our house.

It was just a horrible day, where there was no pleasing anyone.

Needless to say, I am not necessarily the most patient person in the world. Especially when it comes to other people having tantrums.

On the bright side, it is supposed to warm up to 30F tomorrow.

That's 33 degrees warmer than it is right now.

My son is home :cool1: :cool1: Michelle and Holly, I'm getting about the same weather as you are! More snow coming down most of the day, and the wind...brrrrrrrrrr. Brian's flight was over two hours late, but at least he made it home safe and sound. We're having a late dinner, should be ready in a few minutes. Brian's sound asleep on the couch...what a wonderful sight, I'm so glad to have him home :goodvibes

That sounds really nice for those who just aren't up for the cheer. Even if you don't get out tonight you can have your own little talk with God and tell him how you are feeling. I usually feel better after those talks

I'm so glad no tree for us this year. The living room is a mess of suitcases and my bedroom it piled high with clothes.

I've got a mirgraine coming on and I have to go out for a wax and pedicure in an hour. I hate the getting ready for a trip...

Nan... if I can have a blank tree... you can have hairy legs...

That is a decent amount of snow.

Thanks... is yours walking around indecent?

Sorry your day sucked Ian. At least it's over now and tomorrow might be better. How does that song go again? "There's a bright new beautiful tomorrow....." It's been bouncing around in my head ever since I watched the whole show that Kelly posted. :goodvibes

Great news! (Not about the weather, but about Brian being there). Stay home, keep warm! :goodvibes

Well, our weather forecast has changed. Next storm isn't due until late Tuesday, so until then just below normal cold and wind. So, no snow day tomorrow for Tyler. That's good because we're both a bit stir crazy from being cooped up inside. And he loves being at the school's day care because they do crafts, play games, watch videos, play, etc. There will surely be a field trip this week or next, I haven't heard. Just fun stuff all day, every day! He's excited about it. I'm excited about tomorrow because we'll have no occupational therapy this Monday or next Monday because she shuts down for those 2 weeks. Woohoo! We get a break from our long Mondays.

OH MY GOSH, I'M SOOOO PISSED OFF.

You all might remember me trying to see if my family would be willing to do our Christmas get-together an alternate day so I wouldn't have to rush Tyler through our Christmas at home and then jump in the car to head out of town to do it all over again with them that same day. Well, nobody responded to that e-mail or would even discuss it at Thanksgiving. Except my brother Mike in Tennessee. He e-mailed me back and told me he doesn't care what we do, but hopes to see us at some point while he's in town for Christmas.

Well, my dad told me a couple weeks ago that MIke would be coming to their house Saturday night (last night) and would be leaving Christmas Eve. I told my dad, "Well, I'll be bummed out if we miss seeing him, so I can try to bring Tyler on Sunday for a visit. BUT that's the day I'd already planned on doing Christmas with my mom and her sister, so maybe I can come to your house after they leave mine or before they get there, I'll let you know as soon as I find out the timing."

Well, I never heard from my mom because of my stupid phone charger, and I don't think she's even read my e-mail from yesterday asking if she was still coming today, because if I heard from her that she wasn't coming today, I'd take Tyler to my dad's to visit my brother. BUT that's before I saw the weather today. No way would I have driven on the highway with 40mph wind gusts, blowing snow creating almost no visibility.

My stepmom e-mailed me this yesterday:
Dad tried to call and tell you Christmas will be about 2 at Jodi's. Mike will be here about 10pm tonight..

So when she says "Christmas will be about 2", I'm assuming they mean on Christmas Day, since nobody bothered to respond about whether anybody would be willing to do an alternate day or not.

Then, I just received this e-mail from my stepmom:
Hey where were you guys today? We waited till 4:30 to open gifts and than we all were worried as to where you were. I was glad to get home and find your e-mail. I know the weather wasen't the best today. When will we be able to get you your gifts?

:headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache:

It's a tray made for dogs. I do not use dog litter though, I use surgical pads.

We have 3 cats and 1 dog. One of the cats will not use the ptiller box. I bought "puppy pads" from Arm and Hammer and she loves those. I bet your dogs would like them too. They are less expensvie than litter and much cleaner as well. I buy them at Target.

Jackie... I thought Spoodles was only 1 credit??? Flying Fish is 2... at least it was this year...

Ok... I thought the kid was more like 21 or something... no excuses... tell him to pony up... and lock him in a closet or something next time you go away...

So how did Tom do???

This made me laugh so hard, I had to share with John too and we both got a chuckle. Because that's what we would really love to do with him.

Tom did good. He had an interview with FYE at the mall selling movies and music. He got the job and he starts part time next week. We're real happy for him and very proud.

Deb... that sometimes happens to very smart people... they test high but can't tie their shoelaces... I used to work with someone like that.

It can be extremely frustrating sometimes. He really doesn't have a clue and you know how brilliant he is so it's hard to understand. It is what it is. We learn to adapt.

Marilyn... there's a 6 foot green thing sitting in my living room...it's been there for 2 days... I'm thinking of getting rid of it right after New Years... and it's shedding little green thingies...

I think I'm supposed to put on lights... and some round thingies... and throw tinsel at it...

This is SO not happening...

Sometimes a bare naked tree can be beautiful too. Just stick the angel on top and you're done. voila!:cutie:

I'm very familiar with those, but I order pads for the dogs from surgical suppliers. I use Kendall Tendersorbs, they are basically the same thing but much cheaper.

Truman is obsessed with his litter box, i'm not quite sure why. When I come home from work he get his toys and starts putting them in the litter box. I used to think it was an accident, but then saw that it was quite deliberate.

He can be a very odd little dog.

Oh my gosh Deb, I'd be furious! I agree with Nan, he should have to help pay for the repairs. Sorry you had to come home to this. :headache:

Ya know Holly, that was the worst part. We had such a nice time at Tristan's graduation and then we came home to a mess. We can't trust him to make the right decisions if there's snow on the ground. How foolish is that. We live with snow every winter and we've been in this house for nine years. This is nothing new.

When they put the brake fluid into the truck today they found a leak in the lines. The truck can't be driven at all until it's fixed and we have lots of snow coming our way. If we don't have the truck, then we have to walk up the driveway in the snow. It's aweful. We have to get it fixed immediately and we don't need the additional expense on top of already having to buy another car right now.

It's Christmas and we were just out of town. Also we have Tom here now. It's costing us more money until he gets set up with his job and can help buy some groceries, he eats a lot and we pay for his lunches at school and drive him all over the place to friends and the mall, etc., and the lawyer expense. So we have had many additional expenses this month. The budget is about to bust! We don't get Christmas bonuses. We have to suck it in and bite the bullet.

Deb & John - So sorry. I'm surprised all you're doing is venting! I'd be livid.

Thanks Ian. He moved in with us 16 years ago. We started expecting things to go wrong and get expensive with him around. It doesn't make it any easier, but you get conditioned. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3
