It is now snowing again. I suppose that means I'll either be shoveling later or in the morning.

I bought another 50 lbs bag of ice melt today. I think we are prepared.

I am feeling a little housebound, and would like to go out, except there is no place to go.
The timing is about right because it's supposed to start here again tomorrow and give us 8 more inches by Monday morning. Yikes! NOW I'm hoping for a snow day because if day care closes, that saves me $30. Sure, I lose a day of pay, but get to have fun and they just might let me bring him to work with me for at least a while. Our Energizer Bunny lawyer told me he's fine with it, but that I'd have to get the OK from our office manager.

Holly - how much do you have to shovel?
I have to shovel from my house straight out to the road, then from my driveway all the way across my yard to the edge of my property line, and my driveway too. We have to get it done by 24 hours after snow stops or the city can give us a hefty fine.

It's really not a lot to shovel, would probably take me 45 minutes, but what I'm struggling with now is the heavy crap the snowplow threw over the sidewalk alongside the road that I'd shoveled last night. I decided to wait until Tyler gets home.

I got a package in the mail yesterday from my aunt Susan in South Haven, MI. That's about 2 hours from here, but I haven't seen her since Tyler was 3 months old and I took him to show him off. ;) She fell in love with him and she keeps up with him through pictures and e-mail updates. She's made just about every gift she's given him and he always loves her gifts. Well, she also always adds a tin of Christmas cookies in the Christmas package, so I'm DYING to open it! I e-mailed that comment to her and she asked me to please try to wait until Christmas, so I will this time. She was making a sweater for Tyler but told me it didn't turn out right and she never gives something she thinks isn't perfect, so I think she just bought him something instead, but says he'll love it anyway. I'm sure he will! She's always been my favorite aunt. I was even in her wedding when I was 5. :goodvibes

Sorry I've been babbling here all day long, I guess I'm just bored without my phone!

I'm going to bring the pictures so on Xmas day when he doesn't open a bunch of gifts he can stare longingly at his kart. Crossed fingers that it works to keep him from his bad mood side :rolleyes1
.
Wrap the pictures individually, in different shapes and sizes.of boxes :santa:

I'm SO EXCITED about having a 3 day work week two weeks in a row! I can't wait! :dance3:

And this year they're finally going to PAY ME for those days off! :dance3:

I thought you'd get a kick out of this. It was from our Christmas party cruise.

Me with my pups.

And no, I was not jolly. I despise forced fun.

Well, despite it being forced fun, you look great in your hat! And the guy in the green shirt is hot, too bad he's married.

Gee, it might be my bedtime before Tyler gets home! I am enjoying my extra freedom though. :thumbsup2

Our breakfast just last Sunday!!!

Feels like I was there with you guys!!! ;) ;)

Hi Kelly :flower3:

I heard on the news that is snowed in Malibu (again) it must be beautiful to see your mountains topped off in white.

Isn't the cold strange???? I do remember the last time we had this cold weather in 2005 we also spent our Xmas and NY at WDW and on the Magic. Maybe it's so we can totally enjoy the warmth of FL  Of course that year too FL had a funny cold snap the first week and we didn't pack for it and frooze our hinnies off :headache: but the cruise the next week was great.

The 3 of us (not Paul) have stuffy noses and Wil tells me he also is feeling it in his ears :scared1: I have doctor appts for the kids on Monday, I'm afraid of them flying with fluid in their ears, that really hurts.

Wilson got homework for over the break, hopefully he will plough/plow thru it today so we don't have to worry about it.

OH yeah, I forgot we got to see the new kart last night...pictures in a minute. it was naked, no stickers and just the first sitting for Wil to see how and where to screw it together and add/delete weight. It was really fun to see it.

Okay lastly, a funny Willie story. He made Paul and I a calendar to hang on the wall and on it he colored over 4 dates, 2/24, his birthday, 10/31 Halloween, 12/15 Xmas and 3/1....what is 3/1, nt my bday hmmmmmm...then he tells me the start of his karting season :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: That kid is so focused on one thing his GO-KART :car: So funny.

Just wait until he has his first girlfriend... then Halloween doesn't stand a chance... :rotfl:

Well, we played a bit with some of Tyler's cool new Star Wars toys he got tonight as Christmas gifts from his aunts at his dad's family's dinner. :thumbsup2

Then he showed me things from school. He was given a few gifts from teachers! His teacher gave him a set of Mickey Mouse markers, the special ed teacher gave him a Sparty (MSU) license plate, the school social worker gave him a Mickey Mouse puzzle, and the lunch lady gave him 2 candy canes. The kids in his 1st grade class each drew a picture and wrote a short goodbye note. That was very sweet since he hasn't been in class much lately. One child wrote "Why do you have to leave?" That was so sad! Tyler told me he explained why to the kid though. That doesn't surprise me a bit. He told me all about his tour of the new school, and told me the special ed room has computers, so he's excited about that because his former school doesn't. He had computer lab in Kindergarten a couple times a week, but the 1st graders don't for some reason.

A very late bedtime for Tyler, but we had fun catching up. :goodvibes Now I'm off to eat something.

I wonder how Deb & John's drive home is going.

Where's Gaylean today?
