Thanks, it's definitely hard work. But I'd still rather do that than mow.
Holly - how much do you have to shovel?
I just have our front steps, which I use an old fashioned corn broom, the path inside our gate and the front sidewalk.
I don't shovel anything else, though I did have to do some digging out in back under the EL because there was too much snow for the car to get out.
I really don't mind the sidewalk all that much. It usually only takes me about 15 minutes. I don't much like sweeping the front stairs.
Oh, and I also have to shovel out a "convince" area for the dogs. I suppose the neighbors must think it's odd when I'm out there shoveling the yard.
In theory, the dogs are inside trained and have litter boxes. Truman prefers his litter box. Tallulah prefers outdoors and nature
We do have snowblower, but our tenant used to use it. I don't even think I know how to start it. Besides, by the time I got it out of the garage, out to the front of the house, and started, I could be done shoveling and sweeping.
It seems pretty pointless.
There were lots of shovels today at Lowes and Target, not that that does you much good in Lansing.
