It is indeed a Chicago thing. I grew up in NYC and I had never heard of Susie Snowflake, but here in Chicago, you mention it to people and they're off ... singing
They remember it with such happiness!
Years ago, the Mom of one of my homecare clients was so pleased that she could tape it for me for Christmas. She HONESTLY thought I would want it.......
She got the inane elves on the same tape and was so proud of herself.
Each to his own.....
When she finally did understand that I had not seen those things as a child she still thought it was a great gift as Tom would love it. He was from southern Illinois. They did not have it there either

anyone want a VCT tape of it?
.
) so Molly and I will buy her a new coat with that card
to Michelle. I kind of understand what you are going through. My father passed 2 years ago this christmas. I was not close to him and had lost touch many years ago, but it was kind of hard to deal with. And then losing my Mom 8 months later. Anyway, please know that my heart goes out to you.
Can you get Gaylean and Co. to come visit?
Glad to hear she handled herself well.
So 2 of us have already decided we're not coming in on Monday if it's even half as bad as today was.
