I keep trying to convince both of our families to do a name draw. I think they're fun and you spend less. It is sad because I have more fun at Jon's "white elephant" gift exchange than I do exchanging with everyone. It is really fun. We don't actually give used gifts. We spend $50.00 or less and it is interesting to see what people get and give. That is this Wednesday so I'll let you guys know what I end up with. I think it is so nice that you get to relax now :cloud9:

I can't even begin to imagine what a drain this time of year must be on you guys with kids and families.

It seems like there is so much pressure this time of year.

We should talk about the pre-WDW days. (Whoever you are)

I'll have my people call your people. :thumbsup2

On ABC now is the special about my kids High School, Westfield. It is interesting....turn it on.....or watch it later on the West Coast. It is on 20/20 for 2 hours.

I saw bits and pieces of this (was channel flipping). There are some pretty darn talented kids there!

Well, tonight is the department party. Wonder what I'll get in the gift exchange. :confused3 We do the kind where you draw numbers and can steal gifts. I feel I've done a good job if the gift I brought gets stolen at least once...pretty good chance of that happening as I bought booze! :drinking1

All this talk about high school pictures...

Just in case you're wondering where I get my good looks from... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

My Granddaughter is here. All went well with the c-section and baby is fine. No pictures yet.

Thanks for the prayers and pixie dust.

HI, everybody.....I've been MIA recently:flower3:....we had a lovely dinner at BJ's Brewpub at the Loop (no, Ian, not Chicago) near us here in Hunter's Creek. Good dinner, great company with Marilyn and John and Ann and Albert! We all gave Albert a hard time for ordering fish and chips.......I guess he's getting homesick. :)

If anybody else is in the area, and has a car, there are lots of good places to eat there....a new Mexican called Abuelo's, Chinese PeiWei, the brewpub, Fishbones grill, Macaroni Grill (one of my favorites) Mimi's Cafe, Lonestar Steakhouse. And nearer to me, right here in Hunter's Creek there's the Texas Steakhouse and Patrick's favorite, the Orlando Ale House.

Thanks for asking about Patrick's foot.....he is SO MUCH BETTER! He can stand on it without the "boot" and he can walk a few steps without it too. So he's fine.

I am so glad he's better, so that he can step into the golf cart we have rented for our 4 night stay at Ft. Wilderness in the camping cabins.....I am going to decorate the golf cart with battery lights and probably some really tacky silver tinsel garland! I think it will be great! :santa:

My, My, I have so much to say!

Bye Bye for now! :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

My families did a name draw a couple times, but now nobody really does. We just buy for the kids now, so that makes life easy. :thumbsup2

Connie, we all need to see pictures of your decorated golf cart! How funny! :goodvibes You're going to have a great time!

Hi everyone!!
Hope you are all doing fantastic! :)

We have 106 DVC points that need to be booked and used by 8/09. Since I don't think we are going to make it to WDW before then :(, we are considering renting them. I thought I would ask here first, is anyone in need of points for an upcoming trip? I would say that the 106 is good for a studio at most resorts during most times....although maybe not a full week during peak at some of the higher. It can also be used for a few nights in a larger unit. Our home resort is OKW, but that doesn't matter now since we are under 7 months for all bookings, so you can book at any resort with availability. I thought I would ask here before I put it out onto the DVC rent board...so if you are remotely interested, PM me asap and we can talk!

Happy Tuesday....I'm personally hoping for the major snowstorm they say is coming to hit tonight so I can be snowed in tomorrow! :)

Hello everybody! I'm tired of this cold weather crap. Yesterday I forgot to bring the cord to plug the van in at work, and by the end of the day it was dead. Luckily I work in a plant full of men, so it was no problem to get someone to come and jumpstart it for me. But by then all the repair shops were closed, so I couldn't do anything about it. I was supposed to go mail xmas cards yesterday but they were closed before I could get there because of the van. But then I was meeting a friend for dinner, and we had a great visit and the van even started after my 2.5 hr dinner chat. So I got home and plugged it in, and thought I'd be okay this morning. Then I headed inside at 9pm, and wrapped xmas presents and packed them up, for Ken to deliver this week while he's in his work town. By then it was 1am and it was definitely time for bed. Then today started crappy, because the van wouldn't even start. Just click click click and nothing. So waited and hour for the AAA guy to come and get it started, and then waited for it run long enough to charge up enough to drive. Then got it into a shop and its getting a new battery. And I'm sick of the cold weather! What really sucks is Ken's been saying the battery is going, and I had Walmart do a battery test when I got my winter tires on, but Walmart said it was fine. They were wrong.

Ian - congrats on your job performance review!

Gaylean - have fun in the rain. Want to come visit me? I guarantee there won't be any rain up here this week ;) The warmest we're expecting is about -10F this week. So it won't snow, and it won't rain, and everything is white and pretty outside. You know you wanted to come see it!

And now break time is over, so I must get back to work. I'll have to log in tonight to see the pic Michelle posted.
