We were watching the film called 'This is England' and wonder if Sukie see it before. It film by 2006.

But it showed that old times of skinhead, old fashion and very rough place as that times that Margaret Thacter. She was Prime Minister.

I'm still railing against prop 8, so here is my interesting and rather bizarre factoid for the day, this time about our home state, Illinois.

There is a faction that has tried to get a prop 8 type thing going in Illinois to write into our state constitution a ban on same sex marriage as in CA, FL and AZ, but here are some interesting facts:

- Illinoisans by an large do not like the idea of ANY changes to the state constitution, let alone such a ban.

- Even with petition and signatures, the state legislature still decides whether the public even gets to vote on such a thing. They can collect all the petition votes they want, but the state legislature decides if it will become a ballot initiative. And the state legislature doesn't believe in tinkering with the constitution.

I find all this bizarre, because before I researched it, I had thought that Illinois would have been somewhat backwards. I guess I learned something today about the "Land of Lincoln."
