We have had a horrible day today! Last night Patrick fell while I was walking him to the bathroom on the way to be. His left foot slipped, hit the wall really hard, and he went down with his leg bend under him. He was in so much pain!! We had to use the Hoyer Lift to get him off the floor. He couldn't put ANY weight on it, and that is the foot he uses to stand up on, his right foot and leg isn't strong enough.

I wrapped it up and we put him to bed. This morning, it looked really bad, and we took him to the ER. Not broken, but extremely sore! He can't stand on it at all, and so that means he can't stand up to go to the potty. Been using the urinal all day!

Good thing I wasn't scheduled to work tomorrow. Neither Chuck nor I can handle him alone. I might even have to quit my lovely job! I called the foot doctor and he'll be going to see him on Monday. I might have to stay home on Thursday too. I was afraid something like this would happen eventually.

I just hope it gets less painful soon, so he can at least stand up!

Oh my Connie. I am sorry to hear this. I hope he is better soon.

Hi Tammy!

Got all the pics from Spain organized -- just need to put them onto photobucket so that I can share them....will try to do some of that at home this week - I figure it'll take too long to do them in the Green Cabin Room (I'm here again now, having another lovely drink).

Will try to start on my TR for that back in the room - can do that on Word so no need for the internet until I'm ready to post it.

Will be leaving the resort I think about 630am tomorrow to get to work. Hopefully 2 1/2 hrs is enough planned time for the drive.

I will be in Michigan for the actual holiday - how far away is Chicago from the Detroit area? You never know, I could always pop by for a visit --- just save me a plate.

Hmmm.....I'm not really sure, but for some reason I'm thinking it's Northeast of Detroit, so that would be farther away, but we can definitely try to work something out when it gets closer.

Exactly what I was thinking Marilyn. For Tortola we'll have many of the same faces including Mandy the original one. I can't wait to do it.

I already know that I'm not very compatible with the folks on the Western because I HATE our name. We came up with a bunch of good ones and they all picked the one I hate the most. So I have to go with it. Then they picked our DISmeet to be after the late dinner on the first night....that's like 10 pm....what about the little kids?? I just think they're all lame ducks. They are certainly NOT my family here. They're not even friends, they're aquaintances only....we will not form lasting relationships. Sad, but so.

The jury is still out on the folks on the Christmas cruise. There's not much activity.....I know it's two years out, but look at the Baltic group.....they're going fast and furious and there's a bunch of good people there. (I was reading the thread for a while in the beginning.)

Tortola is also a great group....mostly because a lot of our family is going, but others who are going are good too. I guess you just get a good group or not or somewhere inbetween. It's random.

What am I missing I've hardly had time to keep up here Deb, sorry you're not happy with the Western! What is our name I really need to find time to get more involved on our threads, but it just isn't going to happen until the new year! I know you are not really feeling it for the western and I'm sorry, of course I'm glad you'll be there I am feeling quite different because Sara is cruising with me for that one, I can hardly wait!!!

I have had a very busy, but good week!! I was really starting to stress because I had not started Christmas shopping except for the Minnie outfit I bought Serenity at wdw It's amazing what can be accomplished in a few short days! I went out with my mom on my day off and bought a few gifts. Then I was able to do some more shopping on a morning before work. I also got to have Serenity and her mom over for dinner and a nice visit after work one night. My SIL came over this morning to get my snowtires out of the basement and into the trunk of my car, I'll have someone put them on while I'm at work tomorrow. We have had a very wintery, snowy week It's going to be a long winter. I am going out to dinner with about 30 other women from work on Thursday, should be lots of fun . I booked myself into work for the afternoon shift on Friday, so I can sleep in after our night out Hope everyone is keeping well.

Well, Sara and I both will enjoy sharing this one with you and John. I do understand what you are saying. But you never know, maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised. Of course, I don't really believe that any cruise will ever see a closer group of friends than we had on this last one . I think the WB PC was a very fortunate cruise for all of us

I have never been to the restaurant we are going to before. Apparently the food is excellent and the servers are very entertaining Not sure if it is a champagne venue or not but I am thinking wine or cocktails will definately be part of the evening
