Me and the kid worked in Tom's vacant bedroom this past weekend. We threw out a lot of things and gave a lot to goodwill. Then after we emptied the room, we started putting boxes that are going to Florida in it. I thought I wasn't going to take anything with me except for turtles and Disney collectibles. NOT!! I have more boxes than I thought I would have to bring with me and we only did one room so far. At least we have gotten started and made lots of progress. I think we'll do one room per weekend.

Today I have to pack for our weekend in Montauk. It will take four to five hours to get there depending on traffic thru Manhattan. So we will have to leave about 9-10 am. Check in is at 2pm. I'm excited and will post pics on FB.

Did you finally get up off the couch?

I did...

reluctantly... but the QM wanted to go out and I drove.

We went to Lowes. they had pointsettias for .98... so we got a few of those and we window shopped through the washers and dryers ... I dream of having one of those fancy ones someday...

I just dream of having a dryer someday, LOL! But first I have to save for some dental work.

Yeah, got off the couch to go get a pop but came right back to it. Did manage to get one load of laundry washed and hung though. I will be productive tomorrow. Have a big list.

I have to clean 3 rooms before monday morning... that's when the appraiser comes to give us an estimate on the house for the reverse mortgage. I've decided to open lots of boxes throw all the crap in and worry about it on Tuesday...

That's what I do almost all the time. So I have boxes of crap piled up all over my bedroom. My bedroom is a storage room with a tiny path to my bed.

So I went out for a drink or 2 with a guy Wednesday night. Cute guy I've been interested in since we got back from our trip up north in August. Met him the day after we got home. Haven't heard from him since our night out, so I'm not sure how he felt about the evening, but I had a good time. Time will tell. I figure if he's interested, I'll hear from him this weekend.

Wish me luck. Trying to get back to exercising, if my knee cooperates. It's been behaving for a while, so it's time to get active again. Can't keep letting myself get bigger and bigger and since I'm not having any luck getting motivated with eating better, I have to at least get some exercise going and I do remember that seems to curb my appetite.

I have 2 bags of candy corn left. No binging for me over the holiday, that's how I eat EVERY day. Just trying to gain control over the past 6 months or so of slacking off. I can't afford to go out and buy bigger clothes and threw away all my larger sizes as a deterrent and I guess it's working.

I also want to be able to somewhat keep up with the guy who works out every day, if we become involved, LOL!

Did the modified version of the workout because of my knee and because of how out of shape I am. Don't want to jump into it all crazy and make that knee start crying again. Of course, just walking does that, so there's really no avoiding it, I just want to minimize the effects on the knee.

I'm already glad I did it because afterwards I wasn't hungry until about a half hour ago. Usually I eat all day.

Fixed the one toilet... have to figure out how to do the other...

Not much cleaning, seeing as I started with the toilet and got involved in that... but it finally flushes good now... and I don't have to stand there and pray it doesn't overflow in the middle of the night anymore...

Of course mom's mad I haven't gotten any further with the cleaning.. but she's happy about the toilet!

A working toilet is priority in my book! I didn't get much done after all. Did some dishes, put away the clothes I washed and hung to dry yesterday, and got groceries. Still need to get all the Christmas boxes down from the attic and get the Thanksgiving stuff taken down and put up in the attic so we can be ready to start decorating when Tyler gets home tomorrow evening. I can get that done tomorrow afternoon sometime.

Yes, I do. The laundry hookups are right inside my side door, off the kitchen. I used to have a dryer next to my washer, but it died a couple years ago and I just haven't replaced it yet. For now, I use a drying rack in the kitchen and hang what doesn't fit on that on hangars in doorways. I just try to time it where things will be dry and put away when I know people are coming over so they don't have to see our clothes hanging everywhere. Drives Tyler absolutely nuts to always have clothes hanging around.

And you're right, he won't care how your office looks.
