We have no specific plans for this weekend. Just the usual errands and football. We're getting ready for our trip to Montauk with my cousins. While we're out there with Jeff and Amy, they are going to visit my cousin Donna and my Aunt Barbara on Friday. We are going to visit my cousin scoot and his family on Friday. They are all brothers and sisters, so you would think that we could get everybody together under one roof......nope, it's not going to happen. Not this trip. We usually do Christmas or New Years together and everybody shows up. But this year we're doing Montauk for Turkey Day and then just visiting them on one day and everyone is busy, busy.
My cousin Donna and I have the same birthday too. She was my present when I was 11. I wanted a girl so badly because I was the only girl out of all the kids in the family. I got my wish. The best part was that she lived around the corner from us so we got to see each other a lot all through growing up. Donna was my maid on honor at my wedding also. She's a nurse and her husband is a pharmacist. They both work for Stony Brook Hospital so they live locally in Port Jefferson. I grew up going to Port Jeff harbor with my Uncle Teddy launching his boat. We went there every weekend and took the boat out. I have great memories of the town that Donna lives in now. I love visiting her there.
