Be careful about your excursions... they said on the podcast that you have to cancel your excursions at least 72 hours out (not sure if that means the whole cruise or not) and to make sure you have a copy of the cancellation - there have been lots of them that have been charged to your account anyway. Also they are enforcing it because of a lot of people saying they have canceled but really didn't but tried to get out of being charged anyway.

I ended up cancelling the snorkeling excursion I was thinking of doing. I haven't decided on the Waimea Canyon one yet. Keeping the helicopter, luau & ho-ho bus for sure.

I cancelled the atlantis submarine, we'll just get a rental for the day and cancel the jeep that I have for 2 hours. Then we'll drive to Lahina. I won't get to see it since we're not stopping there after the atlantis excursion. So we will drive there instead. You are still welcome to join us if you want.

We're still doing the ho ho bus and luau for sure too. I'm really looking forward to doing that.

I feel like you were being truthful - you are still waiting on a few ladies to confirm & pay (I'll be paying hopefully tomorrow) so at this point, you are at capacity.

You can just buy me a BBC....I won't worry about it. I guess it's sort of truthful since there are some others that signed up but I didn't hear from yet. So including those....I am at capacity. I want to stop at 90 anyway. We have three pourers.....John, Dennis and Dennis. That's 30 each and it works. We have only 6 or 7 honorary members out of 90. So I said that everyone is a taster since so many people were generous and overpaid. Everyone will get a half a glass and can go back as many times as they want for more. It will make it easier for our servers too.

Thanks Michelle.....I printed out all my cancellations and confirm numbers. I bring a folder full of print outs of everything I'm doing. I won't have my laptop with me. We're just bringing the netbook and it has no files in it. So I have to print all my confirmations and cancellations. AND it's just under three weeks before cruising. We should be fine.

Got this message from a complete stranger on FB....how could he message me if we're not friends.....I don't know but this is what he said:

"Just added to the Hawaii group. We are not DISers for obvious reasons but if you have room for four on Champagne my wife, daughter and two aunts would love to join you. Let me know if you have the space."

Can you imagine......we are not disers for obvious reasons......what does that mean? Is he insulting us? Then he wants to add FOUR ladies that have no clue what they're signing up for....he said if you have room for four on Champagne. It sounds like we're on drugs or something. He doesn't have a clue what this event is all about.

I told him sorry, closed event because it's full. He wrote back and said to let him know if there are any cancellations. I have 90 ladies as of right now. I'm allowed up to 95, but I didn't think it was a good idea to add them.

This is just rude!! :sad2: I'm sassy, so I would have replied...."This is a DIS event and so, for obvious reasons, I will not be able to add your family. :snooty: :rolleyes1 But then, Deb is so much nicer than I am. :guilty:

Hi Michelle, I'm glad you're finally kicking that sinus infection and feeling better.

Hi Holly, I know how crazy busy you are, but it's still great to see you over here with us. We miss you, even though we see you on FB too.

Hi Monica, I missed you too. I know you had a great time with the family and another Dream cruise. I'm glad you had beautiful weather too. Welcome home.

Aw, thanks Deb! Nice to feel loved! Didn't realize I'd even be missed.

Found out that my friend is NOT coming to paint this week & I'm actually happy about that....well, only happy that I don't need to shell out $ right now. I was hoping that I didn't need to pay that until after Hawaii.

He ended up taking a job at a jewelry store & he will be here in Orlando Tuesday/Wednesday for training (darn :lmao: ;)) At least I'll get to see him in 1 week. That will probably have to hold me over until after I get back from Hawaii.

I know I'll be going through withdrawls during the cruise since I won't be able to talk to him everyday, but I'll catch up with him once we get on the islands.

Sorry you don't get to have him there painting, but nice you don't have to spend the $ right now. :thumbsup2 You'll miss him, but it will make things even more exciting when you're finally able to see each other after the cruise!

Glad you had such a wonderful visit with Mom & Dad. :cloud9:

Deb and Monica, don't feel too disappointed about cancelling excursions. I might be doing the same because of buying my couch. I've needed one for years and just couldn't take it any longer. The old one would slip out from under you as you sit because the cushions were so warped and it dipped in the middle, so you and the other person on it were forced to lean into each other. :rotfl:And it was ripped all over. I got it when Tyler was 3, so it's had almost 7 years of a bouncing tornado all over it. ;) And it's a loveseat (cheaper than a full size couch, and it was all I could afford back then), so neither of us could ever lay down on it. Anyway, I've been trying to afford a new one for a long time and just had to bite the bullet, deciding it's worth it if I have to sacrifice a few excursions. I don't regret that decision at all.

BUT......just yesterday I discovered something is really wrong with my car (trying to arrange to have it looked at this week), and I have no idea how much that repair will cost, so there go more excursions I may need to cancel.

HOWEVER, last night at Bible study when sharing all this, one friend said "Well, you can get off the ship, right? It doesn't cost any money to walk around and see HAWAIIAN flowers and amazing scenery, which is more than any of us back at home will be doing!" WONDERFUL perspective and now I'm fine with whatever happens (looks like I can keep a couple excursions, but I have to sit down and budget this weekend and make my final decision). :thumbsup2

More busyness continues this week. On Saturday I have the people from 1-800-Got-Junk coming with a truck to haul away TONS of stuff, just about my whole garage, so I need to pull out stuff from the house that I want them to take too. It's so exciting, I don't have to do anything but POINT to what I want removed and they will take it all, then they clean up afterwards. They recycle 80% of what they take but donating anything in good shape and recycling anything that's recyclable. They're not cheap, but it's time. Yes, that's another couple excursions I'm sacrificing, but it's time. I feel that if I wait, I will continue to procrastinate and this will help me get my house back in order. :cool1:

And I still have to mow and saw the fallen tree into smaller pieces that can be put out for yard waste pickup (they won't take anything longer than 4 ft). Busy, busy, busy! I'm so ready for vacation! :cloud9:

Thanks! :) I can't remember anything I picked and have been too busy and lazy to dig up my ressie number to be able to log on and check. :rotfl2: But I'll keep this in mind for sure in case I end up cancelling whatever I signed up for there. And Heather offered me to ride in their jeep in Maui (I think that's where and of course I'll pitch in towards the cost) if I end up canceling whatever I signed up for there. I'll look it all up this weekend and sit down and budget after I find out how much my car will cost to get fixed. Something is loose underneath, I can't see anything hanging, but every bump I go over causes it to sound like my tire is falling off (I checked, the tires are not loose). Bad clunky sound. Dropping off at a car place next to work to get it checked out/fixed. :headache:

hahaha.....you ARE sassy!!!! This cracked me up....thanks for the good laugh Angie.

I did feel a bit invaded by his request. I'm glad I turned him away.

Aw, thanks Deb! Nice to feel loved! Didn't realize I'd even be missed.

YES you are missed a lot. You always checked in every day and responded to every post. I miss seeing you here. I understand why you don't have time anymore, I just miss you anyway. There are things I say here that I won't say on FB. I think it's that way for all of us. This forum is much more personal and it connects all the Thieves. It's special.

For some reason we're all getting extra unanticipated expenses right before cruise. This is not good. BUT we are all going on cruise....this is VERY good.

Holly, you can always join me and John. We'll end up renting a car and exploring. John loves to drive. I bought a good map and we'll have gabby with us too. We'll rent on the Big Island and on Maui. We'll stick with the hop on/off bus and Luau in Oahu. I'm not sure what we're doing on Kaui yet.

I wish 1-800-Got-Junk was in my neighborhood. We have lots to get rid of. We can't get a container up our driveway so we can't do it that way. If they came with a truck and did all the labor that would be great.
I'll have to google them and see where they are.

Deb, how are your legs?

Actually they are very good, but very painful. I've been soaking and cleaning them up so they look good....all clean....but doing it hurts like heck. This week is better than last week for pain so that's good. I still keep the right one wrapped because of the edema. They don't leak with the wrap on...it's tight and keeps the swelling down and the edema under control. But they're doing well for now.

Maybe we could have a two jeep caravan and run around Maui and play....something to keep in mind.

:thumbsup2 I'm with you Angie. And I would have asked what the "obvious" reason is. What makes it so Obvious?

good morning Ladies. I see the planning for your Hawaii cruise is coming along. Looking forward to seeing some of you at the Thieves dinner.:goodvibes

Oh and Deb, you have to have your FB privacy settings set to.."only friends can message you".

Mom & Dad have been dropped off at the airport. I'm tired & grumpy, but just got good news from the accountant (refund :cool1:). Not sure if I will have $ prior to Hawaii or not.....I should keep that for the painting :lmao:
