Really, REALLY looking forward to taking him on the Fantasy in November and being able to give Sophie and Joe a real break...
 

Walk... and don't over do it.. start out with a block and after a few days do a few more blocks for a few days... if you overdo it... you will crash...

Yeah, I know, but I walk tons at work during the workday and that even kills my knees, so extra walking isn't an option right now until the knees settle down. On payday I plan on getting some sort of knee braces and see if that helps.
 
Well, I'm going to go up and see what Planet Fitness is all about. It's here in my town and I'd like to be able to get something going that gets me out of the house. I have very little endurance and I'm hoping to use the stationary bikes and the treadmills... I think I'll leave the big machines for that obnoxious guy in their commercials... :rotfl:

A brace should help. Also make sure you have support in your shoes!

Yup.. and as soon as I found out that they would take the $ directly out of my bank account instead of doing it by a credit card.. I decided I'd rather go and see if I can join the Y... They have a pool anyway...

Michelle - good luck finding a place to go for exercise that works for you. Since you are doing lots of walking, have you thought about tracking how much you walk and see if you can walk the distance to DisneyWorld. You could print out a google map and track it. Or start shorter and walk to Chicago. :goodvibes

My Family Cruise (4nt 4/1) is PIF!!! :cool1::banana::yay::woohoo:

Went in to try to book Palo - able to get dinner, but not brunch. Oh well - serves me right for focusing more on Hawaii than this cruise. I'll try when we're on board. Need to try to get Palo dinner for just my sister & brother-in-law too, but they're 1st timers so can't try for anything until the 17th.
 
Managed another 3 miles on the bike last night - taking tonight off as I'm heading over to SSR to meet up w/ Dennis & Jennifer after work.
 
Shannon - good job sticking with the "Healthy me" attitude & trying out new methods of exercise. Are you doing them in a club you belong to?

I've heard really good things about belly dancing.

I'm thinking of pulling out my Zumba DVD's again & giving that a go.
 
Well, i got my workout in today... I had to shovel the driveway... they forgot to come and do it this morning... I got 2/3 of it done.. tomorrow I will do the rest... at least I can get out of the driveway and I got some cardio in...

Hi Friends.....I'm not ready to start being healthy in the New Year yet......because I'm already sick. I have to wait unitl I recouperate from the last month of activity and get over all my sicknesses. Then I can start thinking about getting healthy.

As I stand now.....I have been undereating and inactive because I'm sick and I gained ten pounds. Of course my sed rate (rate of inflation in my body) is off the charts. I'm so swollen and in pain everywhere from hands to toes.

I also have to get a blood test for an overactive thyroid. My doctor gave me meds to correct it. He may have overcorrected it.....I'm hoping. But I'm not ready to go for the test yet.

I've been sleeping a lot to gain back some strength. I feel like a wet noodle with sapped out energy.

I'm hoping for a healthier and happier year too :yay: The weather here has been very mild, except one day with a bunch of snow last week, so I've been lucky enough to be able to fit in a few walks. Still haven't motivated myself to go back to the gym but hoping I will soon.

Take it easy shoveling Michelle, that is hard work! We are supposed to get snow overnight and tomorrow.

Happy belated birthday John!

The highlight of my day was finally getting a new bed. I'm hoping it will help me to get some sleep as I haven't been sleeping well for a long time now.
