I spoke w/ Jackie yesterday.....I wasn't sure how close the Arizona fires are/were to her house, Cheri's place or Peggy Jo's. Good to know that the fires are not close.

Cheri is in Disneyland this weekend w/ Dylan.

BTW - please don't mentioned this on FB....I have co-workers on there, and I've been asked not to talk about this yet.

I didn't even know anything about fires, but glad they're OK! I would have worried, of course, as soon as I heard about it. :grouphug:

Of course.

And along those lines, I wish Heather would come spill her secret here because she CAN share here, just not on FB. I'd spill, but don't want to take that away from her.

Laundry is hung up to dry, so I guess I should go do more cleaning somewhere else. Break time is over.

See you on your next break!! I'm heading off to do more :laundy:

You have me sooooooo curious about Heather's secret....tell her she can spill here with us :rolleyes1

Congratulations Monica. Well done!:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 ditto!

Can't believe I have a quiet house...
Paul and Willie at the track to practice - race day tomorrow
Molly with her Auntie working on getting ready for VBS next week (she is helping teach the class with her Aunt- my sister)

It was a wild afternoon - Molly's speech was great ! But the big news is that she was awarded the Outstanding Scholar Award :woohoo: - this news left her and us "speechless" :rotfl2:

This award was the biggie that was saved for graduation - earlier in the week at the awards ceremony many of her friends received department awards -

The award is voted on from the 8th grade teachers and is given to the student(s) (male and female) who demonstrate high academic achievement and also show postitive character, leadership and "goodness"
:banana::banana::banana:

It was very overcoming to have her receive this honor.

Also the young man that earned it along with her is a classmate from elementary school - that also makes this so sweet :lovestruc

- so I'm home in the zone...

tomorrow Wilie has a race and Molly and I are invited to share homeplace 1st row seats at the Giants game! - My friend was there last night and we saw her on tv so watch the game for Molly and I on Sunday afternoon PST :thumbsup2

Done. :thumbsup2

Good luck cleaning. I lost my motivation and decided I need to eat the last piece of Tyler's birthday cake before it goes bad. ;) I told him I'd keep it all in the freezer for him while at his dad's, but he begged me to just get rid of it. He's so sick of cake from his birthday! Cake at his dad's, cake here, cupcakes at school, leftover cupcakes here. :rotfl:

Way to go Molly!!!

What a proud Mom you must be.....as many of us have told you before....you & Paul are doing a great job w/ those kids.

I got the official offer from HR yesterday....start date from home is 7/6...last day in the office 7/5.

My manager was not happy....she said "I'm disappointed, after everything I did for you".....I replied that she knew I wanted to work from home (I started this before we moved into the building we're in now...so almost 4 years ago). I had even given her the opportunity to go to the client & see if they would pay to set me up at ....if they would, I would have stayed with the same account. Oh well...her loss :)

I will be getting a raise too...$1.00...not much, but so much better than nothing & more than I expected (it's considered a lateral move).

I am sure you are going to love working from home. Does this mean you will be not working for the same clients?

OK, Heather told me I can spill.........she won't be working hospitals anymore, she got a job as head nurse at an urgent care center and it's GREAT because it will be less physical, better hours, and something she's been wanting. :goodvibes Just can't mention it on FaceBook because she's not giving notice at her current job until Tuesday and there are people from there on FaceBook.

As soon as she posted on FaceBook about having a secret, I just knew it was a new job because I know she's been trying to get something new for a while now and has been unhappy where she currently is. YAY HEATHER!!!!!

:woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo:

Does this mean we get to chat more often????? :banana::banana::banana::banana:

Not technically a date, but just getting together to catch up on the past 25 years! :thumbsup2

Date..............................................:rolleyes1

Cheri is in Disneyland this weekend w/ Dylan.

Of course she is... I think she really lives there! :goodvibes

BTW - please don't mentioned this on FB....I have co-workers on there, and I've been asked not to talk about this yet.

I won't mention it, but you'll have to bribe Planky... he wants to hire the sky writer that does "Jesus Loves you" over WDW!!!

Of course.

Yeah... come on... I can't wait until Monday!!! :rolleyes1

Damn... & here I thought it was the lottery... :rotfl:

Congrats Heather!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Well... this morning I woke up to go to the ladies room....

and I stepped in a wet spot on the carpet... :headache:

It's raining...

So I thought... crap... leak in the roof... on top of the garage door falling off....

& I woke up in pain... (stress...:headache::headache:)

So I took something and tried to go back to sleep... wasn't happening... had to check the leak - went downstairs.. no water on the ceiling.. went back upstairs... no water on THAT ceiling... still raining...

Then I remembered that I had a LARGE cup of ice with me last night and I was sort of :littleangel: that I had dropped some on the way in to my room... but I couldn't get back to sleep.. got up... got breakfast (apple juice and a bagel with cream cheese...) came back up and my butt was hurting (sciatica) so I took 1/2 a pill... didn't touch it... so I took the other half... and laid back down.. and put CSPAN on... (that should put me to sleep...) On the weekends they put on history lectures... It was very interesting. I went to sleep listening to an interview on the first black students at the U of Alabama during segregation and woke up dreaming of how I was going to solve the cuban missle crisis....... :rotfl::rotfl: :confused3:confused3

Gotta go watch the race... the Belmont... Next stop SARATOGA!!!! (horse racing to everyone else...) :goodvibes

:o:o:o

Hi everyone!

Hi Michelle :yay:

Gee...how is everyone? Has it really been that long since I've posted that a search party was necessary :confused3 I'm sorry if I worried anyone, but thanks for caring :grouphug:

I really feel like I just got back home from my 3 week vacation! It's been super busy here ever since.

Spring has sprung :daisy::flower::flower1: I have been so busy planting and weeding and mowing and weeding :faint:

Work is keeping me very busy too...I've been busy training my staff as I have also started being trained myself for my new role in my company. I will soon be going for a couple of weeks of training (sorry, I'll be away from here some more :sad2:) and then will have different responsibilities and hours, although the same pay :rolleyes:

I came home to discover that a friend of mine has had a heart attack (but is okay, certainly a wakeup call though) and my Mother-in-Law has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's :sad1: We all really knew this already, but were hoping for a dementia that was less aggressive. She has not done well in the last 6 months despite medication.

Of course, I've also spent a number of days catching up with Serenity :cutie:

So...please forgive me for not checking in here! I really can't believe it's been that long!

Hugs and prayers to all in need :grouphug:

Woohoo!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Great news Monica :thumbsup2 Congrats!
