i went this morning to the German Bakery with Will, Mickey & a few others. Will, Mick & I spent the rest of the day together. Got home right before the Rapture, and sprayed the weeds in my lawn (getting it ready to mow tomorrow), came inside, and found out that I was left behind. Oh well, I guess that means I DO have to mow the lawn tomorrow :upsidedow (I'll gladly do it IF I win the lottery tonight :lmao:) <----- I will also pay for Cheri & I to have a balcony on the Hawaii cruise!!

And if I win, I'll pay for me and Kathe to have a balcony! :thumbsup2

I didn't get the back yard mowed and the rest of the yard work done because it's been raining on and off all day. So I've been napping on and off. Tyler has been busy organizing his bookshelf. He does that when bored. Takes everything off, sorts out books he doesn't use anymore that we can get rid of, then arranges neatly everything that's left. Takes him a couple hours (he's got tons and tons of books). I've done absolutely nothing useful, other than when we went out to buy ant traps and a lottery ticket. ;) I told Tyler it's OK to have a boring day sometimes, after a busy week. It's good to just do nothing sometimes.

I was kind of worried to go out, because I was thinking we'd see crazy people out holding signs about their believing the rapture would be today, so I explained to Tyler in advance about it just in case he saw weird people so he didn't get freaked out. He laughed and told me that guy must be crazy. Um....yeah, that's definitely right, LOL! :lmao: He said "How can he be a preacher when he doesn't even know what the Bible says?" :thumbsup2 Yup, right again!

Great pic, Michelle! I think the hair looks fine :)

Nice pictures, Michelle. :goodvibes Glad all went well! :thumbsup2

We tackled the jungle of our back yard, I mowed and did a little week whacking, but there's still tons of stuff I need to rip out, including TREES growing where they're NOT supposed to be, yikes!! But I got too hot and worn out to continue today. Also dug up all the pricker plants (thistles) in the front yard and still need to plant Tyler's flower seeds, which I'll probably do when the sun goes down and it starts cooling off.

We finally found training wheels big enough for Tyler's bike, put them on, he was so excited to be able to ride his bike, he got to the end of the driveway and turned onto the sidewalk, and one training wheel crumpled under his weight and the turn. He was one devastated kid. :sad2: He so misses riding his bike, but hasn't had one small enough for training wheels for a couple years, and he's nowhere near ready to ride without. But I told him we'll just have to work on it every day and it will come. He's so sad. :guilty:

We both came in to collapse in the air conditioning, Tyler took a long nap while I took a shower and did another load of laundry.

I really have no motivation to do anything else today. I hate hot weather.

Holly, your weather goes very quickly from very cold to very hot!

Well, it's been in the high 60s(F), which is normal for spring here, but yesterday it was 80 and today it's 83. Yuck. Stormy tomorrow and then it will be back into the high 60s to 70 for a week, which I love best. :thumbsup2

Maysie came up from South Carolina... and said she was FREEZING in Baltimore!!! Me thinks she won't be doing any blizzards from now on... :rotfl:

Hello all....hope everyone survived the weekend :goodvibes

I ended up doing only 1 thing w/ my lawn this weekend....spreading the weed killer. I was going to trim the bushes, but the trimmer didn't have a charge (darn). I will need to move this evening (if the lawn mowing fairies/qnomes haven't visitied my house).

My left eye is driving me  today!!! I woke up this morning & there was a lovely (not) crust on it.....then it started itching & now my eye is leaking & itching! I'm assuming it's allergies, but since I'm not used to having them, I'm irritated.

Maybe you are having a reaction to the weed killer???

Or conjunctivitis. I think it would be both eyes with allergies unless you got something in your eye.

I'm just going to suggest you wanted a nice sequined eye patch so you could be a pirate:

;)

Now that we're talking lawns... MY GRASS IS GROWING!!!! No really... I pulled up all the crab grass last week, put down topsoil and then grass seed... Of course I put down seed that said on the package "less water needed..." & then it rained for 5 days!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

As soon as I can remember what the weekend was like... I'll tell you... :rolleyes1

We're both very tired, but glad to be home. :goodvibes
