We'll probably go to a couple of movies too - want to see Paul, Source Code and Battle: LA.

The only one of those I've heard of is Source Code because the preview is on TV all the time. It looks good.

Another stormy day here in Orlando.....we've been having tornadoes (1 may have even touched down at the MK yesterday), hail and hurricane force winds (60+).

Been having some really down days for the past week....since my migraine last week. I've been & crying at less than a drop of a hat. Rage is really high too. I applied for 2 transfer positions yesterday (for jobs to work from home)....really want to be able to do that. My car is slowly dying & I don't have the $ to buy a new one right now...years w/o a car payment so no planning

I spoke w/ Sydney on Monday....here's how it went:
S: when are we going on the ship?
M: Not until next year
S: but I want to go now
M: me too

My sister is going to be sooooooo tired hearing about the ship by the time next April rolls around!

Jill - sorry that the trip to Asia didn't work out, but glad that you & Matt will be on the Alaska cruise...it'll be good to see you again.

I had dinner last night w/ Marlene (my friend that's going w/ me to Alaska)--she's getting more & more excited! We leave in 32 days!

No winning any part of the lottery oh well..

Monica, when will you hear about your transfer applications? I'll keep my fingers crossed for luck! I can totally relate about the car issue. I also have had no car payment for 5 years, so when mine dies, I'm worried about having to have that monthly payment, plus the extra car insurance required when paying on a car. Plus when I have to start paying back my student loans, that alone will be $500/month. I think that starts next year, so that alone would mean the end of vacations for us. Anyway, I feel your pain.

Not sure what my weekend plans are yet. I work Saturday but am off Sunday. I may take my GS to the movies Sat night and should start to do some packing or at least start to make piles of stuff

I'm still full of cold and really don't feel like doing anything...so we'll see

I'll be working Saturday and Sunday. Another long day today at work 8:15am-8:15pm and I'm about dead on my feet (I was supposed to be there at 7am but just couldn't make it). Just checking here quickly to see what everybody's up to while I eat my supper and will be off to bed in a few minutes. I'm days behind on FaceBook, only popping on for a brief second over the past few days.

Kathe, I hope you get over your cold quickly!

Hanging out at the hospital with mom... thank goodness they have wifi...

First surgery went well... it took 3 times to get it all out (Basel Cell skin cancer) and now she's going in with the plastic surgeon to repair the eyelid...

I told her next time we're getting a whole face lift...

I have to wait until they take her in to go and grab some lunch... they haven't let her eat anything today...

crazy weather here too...hope no one is down on vacation, nothing but rain wind and oh, the occasional tornado!!

Jumping Jacks - what is that?

Who knows what the weekend witll bring for us. Samantha has a game Saturday morning but with all this rain I am thinking it will be rained out. I would like to go to Ikea...but shopping with no $$ is no fun!

Tyler will be in the general area in a couple days, headed to Boca for a week, with a day driving up to Disney in the middle of the week.

Nice thought, but that's got nothing to do with it. I've been doing deferments for years, so I know all of them because I'm constantly reviewing them to find out if there are more I can get. And you can only do 3 years total, renewing each year. BUT......when I consolidated about 15 of the student loans, it was considered a new loan and my 3 years started over again, so I might have another year. And then I recently found out about one I missed in the consolidation, so if I consolidate that one into the rest, it might start my 3 years over again. I'll find out when my current deferment is almost up.

Gonna try to stay up long enough to finish watching Grey's Anatomy. But all the stupid singing is irritating me and ruining the show for me. What the the heck are all the doctors running around singing for? NOT liking it, but I need to know how this one turns out. Might just have to watch it online tomorrow because I really don't think I can stay awake.

The QM is out of surgery... doing quite well... has a request for egg drop soup with wontons... good sign...

We are both tired. I think we'll get a good nights sleep tonight... hope I can stay awake past 7...

So after all this excitement with my co-worker Jan in the hospital, as soon as one of our lawyers here found out about her chest pains she was having, he said "Oh great, now you're going to make me think I should go to the doctor because of my chest pains." So I got all over his case about it, went all "Mom" on him, and he went to the doctor THAT DAY (Tuesday). I wouldn't let up until he did. The chest pains had stopped while he was at the doctor, so they couldn't do anything for him, but they told him to go to the E.R. if they came back. They were back by the time he got back to the office. I've been nagging him about every 30 minutes ever since, telling him to go to the hospital. I came to work this morning to find an email from him saying he "got Jan's room on the 4th floor" and wouldn't be in today. 4th floor is the cardiac unit where she was staying.

This is my buddy. I call him my favorite Canadian. Jayson. The one who was giving me tips on what to see and do in Toronto (where he's from) when I was going to go with Deb & John. I'm about to cry because we have a really tight bond. He's an annoying little twerp and nobody can stand him, except me, he's very young and arrogant to others, but I see through it, and he knows it, so he's not that way to me because he knows I see the real guy underneath that front. We help each other try to eat better, try to encourage each other with weight loss, help each other avoid the donuts, we've both quit donuts and pop together, share stories about issues with our kids, etc. NOTHING can happen to him, he's my favorite!

So, more prayers and pixie dust please.
