So... Have you ever just had one of those days????

I'm having one...

The house I was looking at has sold... so I'm stuck here at the condo for a while longer... :headache::headache::headache::headache: I HATE condo/townhouse living!!! I've done it since 1988 and no offense to anyone... I hate living attached to anyone... I'm always afraid that my neighbors may do something stupid and put my house in jeopardy. Like there was a fire down the street from here 6 weeks ago.. there are fire walls, but I have a nutsy neighbor attached to me who had decided she doesn't like her smoke detectors and disconnected them. And then she turns off her heat... and uses and space heater (you know the ones that tend to cause fires!!!)

Well, the good thing... I still get to stay with my tree...

I guess I will just buy the townhouse from my mom and stay here for a while.

I hate the stairs too... Mom is good, but someday she's not going to be able to do them and I will have to see about that too...

:headache::headache::headache::headache::headache:

Thanks for listening...

Hi

maybe this house not for you... maybe something come better...

Thanks Deborah! :hug:

I'm sure that God has a plan for me... it's just not my plan... :rotfl:

Morning all!

Spent the weekend with my leisure host agency training....went to Universal on Saturday...toured the 3 on-site hotels, then got to play in the parks. Saw Lisa & Darrell....too funny! Yesterday went out to the Dream....for a 2 1/2 hr tour.....so hard to get off the ship! I didn't see any friends on board (crew or passengers) so that made it a bit easier.

It was super windy & the water was rough, so I didn't feel all that wonderful while on board...then with the bus ride back to POR, I was happy that I made it. Went home after that & straight to bed - didn't wake up until the alarm went off this morning. Still not feeling 100% today...more of a headache.

Hoping I have a decent day....people all around me are in pissy moods, so don't know how it will be.:rotfl:

V - great to see you back!
Shannon - please tell the kiddos & Ken "congrats" for me. Congrats to you too for the contest win (what did you win?)
Holly - hope Tyler has a good week.
Deb - I'll research tea in Nassau if I can today.
:wave2: to everyone else....not thinking very well right now, sorry for not focusing on individuals
Love to all!
Monica, I hope you made it through the day and are feeling better by now. :hug::hug::hug:

Hi Monica! :flower3:

Well... it SNOWED... Holly!!!!!! :headache::headache::headache:

Only about an inch this time and I don't have to shovel anything... but it is very depressing to see the white back on the lawn.

First day of spring my butt!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Waiting to hear if the peepers come back (they are the tiny little frogs that sound like birds at night...)

On the sleep part...went to sleep around 2 am.. fell asleep around 6... need to work in it... tried not taking one of the meds.. but the pain got worse so I gave in... trying to figure out what is making me so drained and tired that I have to lay down and sleep during the day, then dealing with the pain at night... no fun..

Michelle, the first day of spring was YESTERDAY, not today. :thumbsup2

Hoping you get the meds and sleeping straightened out. :hug::hug::hug:

Sorry Michelle. :hug::hug::hug: The house you were looking at just wasn't the one for you. There's one out there with your name on it, made just for you, that will be ready for you when all the pieces are ready to click together. :hug: I know, that doesn't help when things suck right now, sorry. :hug:

have you see the price for April 21st.. ouch it was triple price for 3 days... no way... but it was sold out now...

Scottishwee35

OUCH! No, I didn't see, but I haven't been looking. I probably won't bother looking until I have enough money saved up to put a deposit on one. :thumbsup2 Hard telling when that will be. I have quite a few things around home I need to take care of that all add up to lots of money, so we won't be going anywhere for a couple years probably. Tyler needs a new bed, we need living room furniture (not just because we don't like ours, our stuff honestly is so old and broken down, it's almost not usable), need a new dining table and chairs (1 chair is completely broken so my rolling computer desk chair doubles as mine for the dining table, and Tyler's chair has the back completely broken out, and the table is too small anyway---it was one I had in a tiny 1-bedroom apartment before Tyler was born), and I have a car repair that needs taken care of, need a couple repairs done on the outside of the house, and a very large gas bill (for heat) to pay off before next winter. Those are all necessities, and there are 2 wants. 1 is a clothes dryer. I have a washer and hang my clothes to dry. It works, so the dryer isn't a necessity, but sure would be more convenient. And the 2nd want is a new garage. Ours is leaning, and so many boards have shifted that animals get in and destroy things. I'd like to be able to use it for storage, so the old one needs to be torn down and built new.

It's time to all the home stuff taken care of. :thumbsup2 In fact, Tyler and I were just outside today taking note of things that need to be fixed. He had a couple great ideas for doing 2 things ourselves. It was hilarious, his voice changed a bit and he took sort of an official tone and said "Yup, I can take care of this for you, nothing to it." :rotfl2: My miniature Mr. Fix-it in training. :rotfl2:

WOW, did I get off on a major tangent or what?! LOL!!!!! Sorry Deborah!

Oh, and we found a few areas of plants and flowers we want to rip out because of the bees they attract. We end up with such a bee problem that we can't use our backyard and that's just no fun. We both love to eat on the picnic table back there and then I relax at the table while Tyler plays on the playset back there and/or climbs a tree. But not when the bees take over. Plus, I'm really not one for yardwork (no surprise there), so although I'm sure the plants and flowers could look pretty if they were taken care of, I never seem to have time to keep them up and they end up overgrown and looking messy, so it's better to just have them gone if I'm not going to take care of them. I'll think of something else to put in those areas after we rip it all out.

I'm determined. This is the year we get the whole house and yard back in shape and looking nice. We've been on such a roll with cleaning, we're just going to keep right on going. :thumbsup2

but it makes sense... thanks.. :hug:

In His time, not your time. :hug: Sorry.

Like they say.. you want to make God laugh... tell him your plans... :sad2::sad2:

Is this where I tell you you'd rather go for a 2 week cruise with us on the Wonder or Magic than a 3 night on the Dream? That's not even enough time to unpack... :rolleyes:

I'm living out of my childhood furniture and I hate it... I love the furniture... just not in my bedroom...

Ask your local garden center (not Lowes or Home Depot they don't know enough) to find something that will give you some green but not flowers... think Perennial so it doesn't have to be replanted from season to season. It may cost a little more but it pays in the end.

Oh and Holly... I'm pretty sure I have to have 2 root canals and an extraction very soon... :rotfl: (If I stop laughing I'm going to sit and cry...)

We're definitely living all the life out of our furniture. It's long gone, soon to be replaced. #1 priority is Tyler's bed, right after the cruise. He picked it out a year ago, and will finally be getting it. He loves it because it has great storage features and a desk that slides out and he plans on using the space under the bed left by the desk sliding out as a comfy relaxing place, throw some blankets and pillows underneath and one of those battery operated touch lights and have a little hideaway for him and his stuffed animals. :thumbsup2 He's got it all planned out. Then #2 priority is the living room furniture so we can have company. When people come over now, there's 1 functioning chair, LOL!

Yes, but if it's grass, all I have to do is mow it. If it's flowers or plants, I have to pull weeds. Low maintenance is nice, but I'm looking for NO maintenance. Yes, I hate yardwork that much. :thumbsup2

:hug::hug::hug: Eeeeeek! I have a major dental phobia. I supposed a dental visit should be added to my list of necessities. :eek:

Michelle, if you make it on one or both of these cruises, we can all laugh and cry with you. :hug::hug::hug: No, I take that back.....only laughing. NO crying allowed on Mickey's boat. :thumbsup2

And now, I'm out of here. Tyler was an hour late for school today, I was an hour late for work, just because I purposely ignored our alarm. He NEVER sleeps past 7, so I assumed he'd be up and moving soon, then I'd be forced to get up, but he chose today to actually sleep in for a change. He slept until 8. :rotfl: SO........we both have to be on time tomorrow, so off to bed I go. Hope you get some sleep, Michelle. :hug:

Part of my phobia involves paying for it... the other part is that my dentist is one of my friends from the lake and I'm just not in the mood to run into him right now... :confused3

I promise... no crying... if I cry... hand me a Mickey Bar...

I went to sleep around 4 am this morning... better than the night before pain wise.. hoping it gets better... Yesterday was just a bad day for me all around... but I'm hoping for better.. :thumbsup2

Sorry Shell.....I hope today is a better day for you.

I'm back on vicodin because I'm seeing my wound doctor again today. For four months all was good. Now I'm infected and leaking again. So back to the doctor we go. Only problem is there is a foot of snow outside and I won't get my boots on.....my feet and legs are so swollen. I don't know what I'm going to do. Normally, when nothing else fits I wear my slippers. How am I going to do that with a foot of snow outside?

Well it's official.....because I helped Casey move out of his house with his mother, Jane officially told me and my brother to go to hell-o. She will never speak to us again. No problem, I only tolerated her for the kids' sake anyway. The problem is that Tristan is sticking by his mother's side. He doesn't want to talk to me or Jimi either. That hurts. My brother had to lose a son because he helped another son. It's killing him. I'm extremely hurt too. He never even gave us a chance to hear our side. He formed his opinion based on his mother's side only. He has always been a mommy's boy, but I thought he was growing up being in the Marines. Apparently, I was wrong.

The worst part is that Tristan has been home on leave since before the earthquake and tsunami hit. Tomorrow he has to go back to Japan and I won't know anything about how he is. It breaks my heart.

:hug::hug::hug:

It's a tough one indeed... Maybe being back on duty will help him figure things out.. It may take time, but it probably will... He sees his mother as being abandoned... without knowing the situation.

If you have his address in Japan... give it some time and then write him a letter. If you have to, put a different return address so he doesn't send it back unopened... have someone he doesn't know address it.

And as hard as it will be... try not to be SO negative about his mother. Stay semi neutral. We did that with Emma. No matter what Lynda did to us, I never put it on Emma...

Sending :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Oh Deb, I'm sorry on all accounts. :hug::hug::hug: I hate how you struggle with your leg. Will you be able to take care of it while on the cruises? I wonder if it will be a bit better by then? :hug::hug::hug:

Were you able to get out to the doctor? How did you manage?

So sorry how Jane is behaving, how awful. The whole situation just stinks. :sad2:
