I hear ya, Mon. I'm saying the same thing. I'm exhausted from being away in October still and I have already done the Dream and I'm prepping to do the LA/Alaska. It's a lot and it's too much.
Now, let's hope that next year's one big one is HAWAII!!!!!!! We should be hearing soon. UGH! More deposit money....cha ching!!!! Whatever it is, it's worth it. I'll be on that boat!!!!
Well... mom looks like a prize fighter tonight!!!
she had a small lesion removed from her eyelid yesterday... they thought it might be cancer, but now they don't think it was anything like that. She's hoping that the biopsy comes back clean because she's decided that they got enough and can live with the rest. Otherwise she has to go back to the Dr. who did her MOHS surgery and go through all of that.
We ventured out tonight for Chinese food. Cabin fever has set in...
I'm a medical mystery right now. A trip to urgent care, super antibiotic shot, strong daily antibiotics given to take daily, extreme pain, and will be back to see the doctor at 8am.
Wednesday morning I woke up hours before my alarm clock feeling like I'd slept with my right earlobe kinked or something. When I finally got up and saw myself in the bathroom, I knew something was wrong. My lower earlobe was swollen, red and huge, my lymph node on that side was the size of a golf ball, so I assumed a spider bit me while I was sleeping. It was so painful and throbbing, I left work sometime early morning to run out and ft some Benadryl, thinking I was having an allergic reaction to the supposed spider bite. Got worse throughout the day, Benadryl did nothing, it kept swelling and spreading. When I started feeling nauseous and shakey, I knew I had to get to a doctor. My doctor couldn't get me in yesterday, so I went right to urgent care.
I kept swelling on the way. By the time I got there, I had a temp of 102, my whole outer ear was swollen and red, in front of my ear it was red and swollen spreading to my cheek, I was no longer nauseous, but very dizzy and while I was with the doctor I felt it start to move to my inner ear. The doctor saw no bite marks, no scratch, no sore of any kind and was at a loss. Because of how fast it's spreading and how large my lymph node is, he told me he's worried that it might move into my bones or brain, so he told me I absolutely have to follow up with my regular doctor in the morning so they can explore other options if I haven't started improving. He told me the shot he gave me is such a strong antibiotic and so is the oral one, so strong that he said it should stop the progression of the infection in it's tracks. It has not. The spreading has slowed, but the swollen areas have swollen lots more and it's now affected my hearing. So I will be at the doctor's office when it opens.
Went to bed at 7pm because whatever's going on wore me out. Just got up now to get more Benadryl. This is freaky how it came out of nowhere. Wish me luck please.
OMG HOLLY.....I'm VERY concerned about this for you. This does NOT sound good. I can't believe how fast it came upon you and how quickly it's getting worse. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers every minute of the day tomorrow until we hear back from you that the doctor diagnosed it and you're on the mend. Hugs and Love sweetie. Keep us posted please.

Thanks Deb. I'm sure there must be a logical explanation.
My temp is down to 99, probably because of Tylenol doing it's job, but the rest is freaky. My co-workers watched it spread throughout she 1/2 day I was at work and they were totally freaked out. It's bizarre, and it worried me to hear the doctor have no clue.
Benadryl is kicking in, so I'm headed back to sleep for another 4 hours until it wears off again, then it will be a short time until the doctor's office opens at 8.
No Marilyn, it's worse. Sitting at the doctor's office now waiting to be seen.Goodness me Holly, that sounds and so very strange. I hope it has settled by the time you get up.

Yuck Deb, sorry you have to do all that today.Hi Marilyn....you must be packing soon. I hope you have a safe trip back.
Today is doctor day.....GP, female doctor, mamo, all annual check ups. I still hate the doctor....all of them....and any medical procedures. At least I get them all over with in one day.
Holly, I'll be thinking of you and waiting for some results.
Good Luck and BIG HUGS. Let us know as you as you do. Lots of Pixie Dust!!!!!!
