Hi Michelle :yay:

Hi Kathe!!! :yay:

Feeling in a much better mood about this today. Now that it's night, I'm just waiting to hear SNAP, SNAP, SNAP of the traps. That will make me feel even better! :thumbsup2

I could think of better things I could be looking forwards to...

 I made it on here for 2 days in a row :cool1:

Kathe - sorry to hear that your looking at more changes at work

Newest version of the Castaway Cay map that they are giving out shows 21 Cabanas (I thought they had only said 20 before). I know the first one has a deck/ramp leading up to it for wheelchair access, the others just have a sandy path...for now anyway!

&&&& it has the dream on it too!!! :goodvibes

Hi all from Barcelona. Having great time. Lovely place. Want to come back already!! Hope you are all ok. Nice and warm. Walked miles already.
Will try and keep popping in but internet a bit slow. Stay well all of you.

Have a grand time, and while I don't think he's there....IF you should see Handsome Daniel...you know what to do.....

Guess who's been sleeping in my house since Monday night....Tom. HE'S BACK!!!!! But this time his whole attitude is different. I guess that's what happens when you're out on your own for a year and now you have no where else to go. He really wants to be in this neighborhood and establish a life for himself. He's making progress and doing the right thing so far. As long as he's respectful and nice and keeps trying, he can stay. The minute he slacks off, he's out of here. He knows that. He's doing the right thing this time. I'm so glad for him finally!!!!!!!

It's amazing what happens when life slaps you up side the head...

I'm hoping my sister semi cuts off Mark after college and makes him try to stand on his own two feet... right now he's on an all you can spend college experience... :headache:

When it's sink or swim, you learn real fast how to swim.

So far, so good. Everyone deserves a second chance. There are limitations and boundaries that were not there before. And Tom knows this is it...there will not be a third chance. He's been super helpful and friendly and good company. He's trying really really hard to get a job and get his life in order. Actions speak louder than words and he's showing us and not just telling us. I'm happy.

That's good...

He needed to grow up... and it looks like he has.

I know it was tough for you to send him back, but it looks like the tough love may have worked...

HOLLY--Put the items from the lower cabinet where you hear the mouse on top of the counter and leave the door open. The cat obviously wants to earn it's keep. Let it get the mice.

The mice are coming in because it is starting to get cold outside. Your house is their resort. Just let the cat tell them you only permit a more exclusive clientelle now.
.

Actually, I haven't heard or seen any sign of them since that day. I have the cabinets where the cat was trying to get into blocked with something heavy. I could be wrong, but I'm hoping that was where they were coming in last year (there's an opening around the sink drain pipe) and since they couldn't come out any farther, maybe they went back out the same way. I will let the cat in there after I clean under there. I don't want him sniffing or eating the mouse poop (I peeked under there) and I decided to wait until the weekend to clean it when I can do the whole kitchen at once (just not enough time when I don't get home until almost 8pm during the week this week). :thumbsup2 Saturday morning, I'm planning on tackling that bright and early, get it out of the way. Oh, and the cat hasn't been trying to get in there either since that day, so I'm hoping they found no reason to stay (no food under there) and left. My dad told me once that they will often send one or two on a reconnaissance mission to see if it's a nice place for them to make a home. :rotfl2:

Aw, this is great news, Deb! :thumbsup2

Crappy day today. I found out towards the end of the day that I made a HUGE mistake on something that got sent out a few days ago to a client who's been pissy with us for about a year. Mr. Energizer Bunny emailed a copy of it to Jan and me, telling Jan to fix it and that it never should have gone out the way it did. :headache: So now she's on the line and has to fix my mistake. I have no idea how I did what I did, because it's a standard document we regularly send out, so I was embarrassed and felt awful about it. Talked to Jan about it and asked her if I should say something to him about it, apologize and let him know how awful I feel, she told me I should NOT because he's really steamed about it, but NOT at me. He's pissed at the attorney who reviewed it before it went out because it's the attorneys' jobs to catch things like that, since it's their names that go on everything. True, but I never should have let it happen. My first really big screw up. Uggghhh. :guilty:

Been trying to get to bed earlier, every night I used to try to get to bed before midnight. A few nights ago I actually made it around 11:30, then 11, then 10:45, tonight I'm pretty sure I'll be in bed at 10! :thumbsup2

It's hard to do, but it's a good lesson to learn because it works. He still has a lot of growing up to do, but he's trying really hard to get it right. I'll keep helping him as long as he keeps trying. Today we did resumes and registered with some agencies in Allentown. There's more work in Lehigh Valley than there is in the Poconos. It's only a 30 minute commute. Tomorrow we're going to the unemployment office to see what jobs they have available at the job center. He's also put in applications at the University where John and the kid work. Why not. He'll get something eventually. He's also cleaning up my house and putting things for sale online. He's already cleaned the whole garage up....now he needs to do some work with me on the inside. We'll get rid of all that clutter and he can make a buck or two. He's saving for a vehicle. He can't do enough this time around. That's very good.

Wow, he's a completely different kid now! This is great! :thumbsup2 If you lived in Michigan, I'd pay him to come clean and de-clutter for me too! I'm actually considering paying a neighbor kid to help me. :goodvibes

Off to bed now. Didn't make it by 10 like I'd hoped (a piece of chocolate cake in the fridge from Fazoli's distracted me), but 10:11 is MUCH better than my midnight habit! :thumbsup2

Goodnight all! :cloud9:

I know you feel aweful....but really it's no big deal. We're all just human and make mistakes from time to time. Nobody's perfect. We have all done what you just did and there's no rhyme or reason...it just happens. Don't beat yourself up for it. Hugs!!!:hug::hug::hug::hug:

I know, right!!! He IS completely different now. Finally!!

I told him that he could put things online to sell and keep whatever money he got for them. He gets money and I get cleaned up. It's a win win situation. You could do that with the kid on the block. Then you wouldn't have to pay him.
