Headed to bed semi-early.

The cycle of pain seems to have broken for now... but I find myself totally wiped out... trying to get into that darned routine of sleeping. Taking advantage of it before it decides to give me trouble again... no more infomercials I guess.. :rotfl:

Has Deb checked in??? Sending hugs:hug::hug::hug:

Holly, since two of my grandsons decided to come with me, I thought it was kind of neat for the two brothers to watch this together. I thought it was funny that in the movie they had a 3 yr old younger sibling too, since Serenity is also three. I don't know if they actually paid much attention to the family bond though...all they could talk about all the way home was "the foot" :scared1::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Oh, I didn't even think of the family bonding part, LOL! Forgot about the foot. ;) I just loved all the funny stuff that happened to poor Greg. :rotfl2:

drive by post...
so much in my day lately - just don't have time to check-in.

All is great with us -

Molly was accepted at Notre Dame - all girls high school - she is over the moon with excitement for this next stage in her life. (me too) She leaves for a week of travel to the East Coast (wash dc, PA, NY) with her 8th grade classmates. lucky girl :thumbsup2

Wilson is full on in baseball - he is the youngest on his team - but holding his own - it's a great team - undefeated so far (3games) Racing season is underway - his first race will be next weekend

Paul - work is good - may have travel in his future - he is still liking his job

My work is the same - still struggling with cash flow -deferred paychecks for me for a bit - sucks - but it's a job. I have another iron in the fire - might have a move sooner than later. Had a great bday - saw the SF Giants play and they won :cheer2:

Can't wait to see friends on the ship - we aren't coming in early - the kids are missing enough school as it is :rolleyes1

love to you all

Nan(a)
All sounds good, Nan! Finally! :goodvibes Congrats to all on all the good stuff going on! :dance3:

Hi Nan. Good week for your family!!:thumbsup2

these are the flowers my sister sent my mom... (she got another bouquet from my brother with spring flowers in it...)

That is just so cute!!

Marilyn, same with my mom, on the oil part. My whole life, she slathered herself with oil and lay in our backyard all summer to get tan. She rarely bought sunscreen for me (when I was too young to be able to buy it myself) and even made me go to a tanning booth when I was about 12 before one of our vacations, thinking it would help keep me from burning in Mexico. I was very fair and always burned, no matter what. :sad2: Even every year in Mexico, she wouldn't really ensure I had sunscreen (when I was too young to think about it myself), so I burned and blistered horribly many years. :headache: One year in particular, it was so bad, she laughed and said I looked like a spotted cow. But that was before everybody knew the danger of sunburns.

You were smart, and that's why you look 20 years younger! :thumbsup2

That was quite scary about John's ear, so hopefully he has learned and I hope that will be his only experience with that.

I remember going for a course of sunbed treatments before a vacation to help get the tan going. I did used to fry in the sun somewhat, even if i did have sunscreen on, and have lots of sun damaged skin. I still prefer a little colour, but it is so much more comfortable not having to lie in the sun for hours!!!:lmao:

:scared1: Marilyn, I'm just getting used to being a Grandma...please don't make me into a "Great Grandma" yet! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thank you for the kind words though

I haven't seen Deb on any of the threads or Facebook for few days. Thinking I may give her a call this afternoon. Hope all is going well.

Hi Nan!!!

I'm glad to hear how well everything is going for you and your family :thumbsup2 You all sound very busy! Looking forward to seeing you again in a few weeks.

I have been thinking about Deb too. I haven't seen a post by her for a few days either.

Deb, hugs to you just in case you need them :grouphug:

Good Morning Lisa and Marilyn :)

What kind of day are you both having? It's very gray here but fairly mild. We are expecting to get rain.

I have started the laundry and need to start some cleaning shortly. Thankfully, my cold is just about gone.

Is anyone eagerly awaiting the DCL announcement set for Apr6 :dance3:
Not sure it will change my plans or not. Would love Hawaii in May, but it would depend on where it was going exactly...and $$$$ of course

I have two cruises booked for 2012 already but only plan on sailing once next year, so I'll be waiting along with everyone else for that announcement!

Goegeous weather here in FL today. We're hoping for Hawaii in May of 2012 but I'm not going to book until the repo cruise so I'm hoping to announcement is giving the itineraries but the actual booking won't open until later in the month. I think that's how they did Alaska but can't remember exactly.

Our big plans for today include laundry, grocery shopping and cleaning.

One load of laundry done :laundy: and Darrell is out in the garage tackling the cardboard pile. Between soda cases, deliveries, etc. we accumulate a lot of cardboard so he is breaking down the boxes to take out to the recycling containers.

Probably watch a movie or two on tv too :happytv:

Having a very lazy day for a change!!!:lmao::lmao: It is Mother's Day over here. I told my children not to bother with a gift and spend their time either enjoying Mother's Day themselves, or helping their own daughter's spoil their own mums. That makes me happy, not a gift.

We have the TA booked for September which I am still hoping we get to go on. Also have a dummy booking which we would convert to the TA next year if the Magic comes over again, but that is looking doubtful. Not too interested in a round trip from New York as we would want to stay in Florida, but we will see. I am sure we won't manage Hawaii, and not really too bothered about that, so of course there is just the Fantasy to think about.

Morning Thieves! pirate:

Deb posted on the DIS last night...she's very happy about some news for the November cruise that I don't remember her talking about here...so I let her tell!

Regarding April 6....I'm just hoping that they announce Hawaii, but don't start booking immediately like they have done once or twice before (like Platinum and Gold early booking day being just a couple of days after the announcement)! I have a 2012 Fantasy booking that I made to use as a dummy...but now I want to keep that one and the prices have already gone way up on it. Guess I'll just have to wait and run the numbers, I just hate having to make a snap decision.

I'm betting Hawaii in the spring would sell out in just a couple of days like our Panama cruise did. So booking a new reservation, then trying to 'reshop' while I'm on the ship in three weeks probably won't work. Ah well, guess I'll just have to wait and see. Not sure how I'd feel about Hawaii if the cruise terminated in Vancouver, as some people are expecting. :confused3

Plan on dragging myself into the office THIS weekend...we'll see how that goes. :rotfl:

Hugs for everybody! :grouphug:

.

Magic out of New York part of the year, and out of Galveston the other part, Wonder to Hawaii out of Vancouver. Just a best guess from somebody I believe over the other guesses. I don't see being able to scrape up enough cash to put down as a deposit any time in the next year, so I don't care either way about the announcement, but am keeping fingers crossed for everybody else that you get something you're hoping for! :thumbsup2:goodvibes:cloud9::yay:

Besides, I've always wanted to get Tyler out to the part of Wyoming where I lived for a short time, and now that he's old enough that he really enjoys fun outdoor activities, I've been talking to him about it, telling him all the cool things he'll get to see and do, and he's excited, so I'm planning on taking him either the last week of summer vacation this year or first week of summer vacation next year. Although we both love Disney cruises beyond belief, we can do 2 different short trips for the same price, and I want him to have more variety in travel, like my mom always did for me. His teachers already say he already knows most of the stuff they're teaching in class because of his wide variety of experiences so far, so I want that to continue for him. He's actually the first to raise hand to answer every single question, and always is right, and that's GOT to be a huge self-esteem boost for him, in light of how embarrassed he is with being at least a year behind in reading and writing. :thumbsup2 (Actually, I think he's caught up to being just a year behind in reading, maybe even less, but writing is much farther behind).

Anyway, I'm babbling. :rotfl2: Off to finish my busy day.

Tyler is doing so well there Holly!!! I think the US has so much to offer with different places to go on vacation. You will have so much fun. We went all over Europe with our children and they had a ball. We did it reasonably cheaply, either camping with our own stuff or in ready erected tent/caravans. Lots of fun.

Hello Everybody!!! I am hoping that when they announce the April 6th cruises, we can all plan to cruise together again. I will be poking my head in here when they do to see where everyone wants to go. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 Camping is definitely an affordable option! :goodvibes When I went back out to visit former co-workers in Wyoming about 15 years ago, I camped the whole time and loved it! I know he would too. I'm not a fan of camping anymore, but would do it for him. :thumbsup2

All over Europe is wonderful too, I did that twice as a teenager. ;)
