Thank you Marilyn and Gydell for all your good wishes about the leg. I hope it feels better soon too. It's getting old and tired for me to even talk about it anymore. But I appreciate all your positive thoughts.

This weekend me and John are going to see my Uncle Teddy on Long Island. I have all of my grandmothers legal paperwork....birth certificates, citizenship papers for my grandfather, marriage certificate, etc. My mother held onto them since she was the oldest. I'm passing them over to my Uncle who will pass them onto his oldest son. They will stay in the family. I still have all my mother's legal documents. I'll pass them to Tristan one day since he is the oldest of my brother's sons.

It's fascinating to see where they travelled in their lives. I found out that my grandparents got married in Easton PA. That's in Lehigh Valley which is right down the mountain from me. I never knew that and I live right here now. I love finding out about family history.

It must be summer because my social calendar is getting busy.....this weekend is Uncle Teddy, Tuesday is the beach with my friend Gail, Saturday next weekend is the Racetrack with Michelle. Then we get a break before heading onto to Toronto to see Holly and Tyler. Right after that Casey and his girlfriend are coming for the long holiday weekend during Labor Day. Won't Ray be surprised to see him. He has not seen him since mom's funeral. He has grown up....literally....since then.

Life is busy. It must be Summer.

It's been a busy morning for me. I'm ready to go to my Uncle's house....outfit is picked out and original papers are organized and ready to hand over. I made copies to keep. My bag is packed and I'm ready to go to the beach, the outfit is picked out and ready too. Then I picked out my outfit with a hat for the racetrack with Michelle. I'm completely ready for the next few weeks. I'm ready to start packing for October....hahaha.....Toronto first.

I'm wearing a yellow casual dress. It goes with my hat....straw type with black lace band. It's very casual but a little bit up from shorts and a tee.

John is going cruise casual with a panama hat.....casual pants and tropical shirt. I think he's wearing Barbados, but it's not certain yet.

So what are you and the QM wearing? Did you get my message on FB? Did you answer? I'll go look.

I went dog sledding in the Alps is not one of them.

Good point about the dog-sledding, I never would have considered that end of things.

I don't know who Samantha Brown is but she lied to you people!!! I also didn't mention the fact that it seriously hurt my back as it's physically quite challenging (not as funny as the peeing and the pooping but hey...)

Vaguely Interesting Fact #207: Richard has admitted he would do it again - just not in Alaska in August tho' possibly in May...

My leg is still very painful today since they scrubbed at it yesterday. I'm taking a half a pain killer so my sleep schedule is all off again.

I chatted on FB with one of my old best friends from NYC days. She is now living in New Jersey.....just 40 minutes from John's job. She has a beautiful quiet unknown beach 20 minutes from her house. We made plans to do a beach day together on Tuesday next week. I'm so thrilled. I'll get this leg soaking in the ocean. That should fix it.

I'm leaving with John in the morning when he goes to work. Then after I drop him off, I'll meet Gail at her house and she can drive from there. I'll be back in time to pick up John at the end of the day.

Gail and I used to go to the East End beaches on Long Island long before I met John. We said it's been over two decades since we sat on a beach together. I can't wait until Tuesday.

Sounds like a lovely day you've got planned! You certainly are going to be busy for the rest of the summer

Thanks for all the hugs for mom. She is doing ok - oncologist is pushing drugs - we caved and gave her one and she might allready be having side effects - which means she'll be off it soon. She had a PET scan yesterday and tomorrow morning we meet the radiologist. I don't think we'll do any of it - but we are checking out the options just in case. I think we will find out how long we have tomorrow too

Hey ladies, just to let you know I went dog-sledding in the Alps in January this year. Two words, poop and pee!!! It was a very smelly and slightly less than exhilarating experience - suffice to say, my nostrils were seriously harmed and I will not be doing it again... Just sayin'...

I totally disagree I've done it 3 times twice in Jackson Hole, WY and one time in Montana and no stinky dogs for us. While they do go occassionally so do horses.

The sled rides are one of my all time favorite adventures - I say GO FOR IT

And we're looking forward to it! Tyler's so excited, he has his money all over the floor organized into piles so he can count it every day and make sure it's all there. He's planning on shopping.

Jayson, our Toronto native at work, told me today we have to eat here: http://www.swisschalet.com/our_menu.php He says it's not a visit to Toronto without eating there. I told him I don't think we have enough time to squeeze it in! Maybe another time.

Oh......he also told me you can't talk on cell phones while driving there. I hope I can remember that!
