I can get on board OK....I just won't be able to get OFF. :lmao:

Decided to follow my pal Woody's guidlines..book the cruise you want and allow the universe to take care of the details!

.\time to leave work and go find dinner...PLUS...one of my favorite shows, Castle, is doing a summer season! YEAH! Premieres tonight.

.

Unfortunately... in my universe... the planets haven't been lined up quite right... Did I mention the star I've been wishing on is VENUS????

So, Monday night we didn't get back to town until 11pm, so I went straight from the car to my bed. Yesterday we had a long day then I spent the evening after Tyler went to bed trying to catch up on FB (still not caught up there) and reading and responding to many messages about our weekend in August. WEEKEND IN TORONTO! :cool1:

Now.....off to try to catch up on here. I was up until 2am last night, just took an hour nap when I fell asleep in Tyler's bed while reading a few chapters of "The Invisible Man" to him, so I'm awake at least long enough to catch up here, hopefully! ;)

Holly, if you take your passports and head across Ontario from Detroit to Niagara, you can swoop by the falls, see it and go back across to Buffalo and straight on to Michelle's (west of Albany.) I bit it is shorter mileage than taking Rt. 90 south of Lake Erie and back up the east end and then across New York. Not sure about the quality of the road and the speed limit though. :confused3
My GPS routed us through Canada as the quickest route. No idea how close we would have gotten to the falls, but want to do that another time when we can spend as much time as we want. It would have been an 11 hour drive for that trip, so I really wouldn't have wanted to stop, considering it was just a weekend trip, but I'm sure you've read, change of plans and we're headed to Toronto instead. :thumbsup2 That's just under 5 hours. MUCH better! We're planning Niagra for next summer. :goodvibes

I would love to join you guys next year in Niagara Falls :goodvibes Thanks for thinking of me! You are thinking of the Canadian side of course, right ;) I don't drive on the highways here, I'm a wimp  But I could and would take a train if we can actually make this happen :)
Oh, this is GREAT! :yay:

This link has lots of pictures from the Baltic excursion to visit the Dream..

WOW...that inside stateroom is NARROW!

.

Such cool pictures! We had in inside room on the PC and that was about how much room was on each side of the bed. Barely enough room to stand. :rotfl: I REALLY want an inside room on the Dream to get to see the virtual porthole. I'll probably stay up all night watching it! ;) Tyler's dying to know which character will be hanging off the back of the ship "painting". :confused3 He's hoping for Mickey, but I told him Mickey has more important things to do!

OMG you guys have been chatty!!!

I just arrived home tonight from PEI. I had a great trip :goodvibes Weather was great, although it did rain a bit. We seemed to have the timing worked out though. It would rain while my mom and I were driving around the island, then stop when we went to lunch and shopping at all of the little craft shops! We also had a couple of days that were warm and sunny and no rain. It had been 8 years since my last visit, but it felt like I had been there only yesterday :goodvibes It did my heart good to go...and I know I made my parents happy too :)
Aw, I'm so glad it was such a nice trip for you! :goodvibes

it's Sorcerer Mickey!!! :smickey: Scroll through the pics on that link Jackie posted and you will see it... unpainted but it's there!

Okay, I've decided to be brave and join Ken's soccer team :scared1: I ended up playing on Monday as they didn't have enough girls show up and would have had to forfeit. I didn't have shin guards or cleats, and I am far from good, but it was kind of fun, so I think I'll go for and see what happens.

Deb - the brunch on Easter Sunday sounds lovely, but if we're planning to take the girls into the park that day.

Ian - sorry work was another stressful day.

Kathe - glad you enjoyed your trip to PEI. I hope to get out there on day. I've only been as far east as Toronto, still got lots more of Canada to eventually see.

Nan - sorry about the bad news for work, and congrats on the compliment

Hi everybody else!
Shannon, you're very brave! ;) I would have absolutely no idea what to do in a soccer game!

No, no inkling that this was afoot.

Not a very nice culture. The most shocking piece was a department that was told 4 months ago they would be laid off, were a few weeks later told that it was decided that they should be retained.

Most people thought it was weird and had never heard of that happening before, as usually when a department is axed, it's definite.

Well, yesterday for the SECOND time, they were told that they are being laid off..
Well, that's just awful! What a horrifying roller coaster. :sad2:

Can everyone PLEASE check the first page and the dates and tell me PLEASE... what you are booked for or are interested in and what I have to update...

Thanks...

PLUS...one of my favorite shows, Castle, is doing a summer season! YEAH! Premieres tonight.

I read this and was all :cool1::dance3: and then I looked and its just a repeat so I was :sad1:. I'm happy Nathan finally managed to have a show that lasted a full season. I've liked other stuff he does, but it was always cancelled.

change of plans and we're headed to Toronto instead. :thumbsup2 That's just under 5 hours. MUCH better! We're planning Niagra for next summer. :goodvibes

Have fun in Toronto. We went there for Grey Cup a couple years ago, and it was a neat city. I liked the CN tower, which has a section with a glass floor. The Hockey Hall of Fame was really well done, and Kaleigh liked shooting a hockey puck. :goodvibes

Paul got the job :thumbsup2

Ken say congrats and so do I!
That'll take some of the stress out of your life :goodvibes

:woohoo:I'm happy to say I had FUN playing soccer. :thumbsup2 Its definitely better with the right shoes and shin guards so I wasn't worried about getting kicked, and it was easier to run. I started a C25K program about a month ago, and am enjoying that on my own. I figured between soccer and running, I'm going to get more fit!:goodvibes
Tomorrow I'm taking a vacation day to go for another job interview. I've interviewed with this company before for quality jobs similar to what I'm already doing and both times, they've ended up hiring from within instead. This time, its a temp accounting job for one year, so maybe they don't have anyone internal that wants it. I have low expectations for this one, but it'll be another learning experience.
Other job search news, I got an email from a company that I applied to last year, saying they had kept my resume from that one because they were intrigued by my industrial experience combined with the accounting, and are now looking for a more senior accountant and want to know if I'd be interested in an interview. So I said yes, and we'll see what happens.

Well my family and I will be crusing with Disney Magic on 30 July 2010 woo hoo:woohoo:

:cool1::cool1::cool1: That will be here in no time at all, Deborah! How exciting!

Shel.....page one is good for me! :thumbsup2

I just 'officially' told Kathe and Monica that I AM going to be on the Alaska portion...I HAVE to....so I can be Platinum for my birthday cruise in November! :lmao:

.

:cool1::cool1::cool1: And now I have to too, since I vowed I was going ;)

Yippee :cool1::cool1::cool1: Fantastic news Nan! You'll get the schedules all worked out, but it will take a bit of time I'm sure for everyone to get used to new routines.
