A bit of fashion advice please. I have been looking for formal(ish) dresses for our upcoming cruises. Not long ones as I would never wear them again.

Anyway I have found quite a nice one at a good price and it comes in both red and black. The black one is £49.99 and the red on is in the sale at £40. No need to convert money for this, but I guess the black one is about $15 more than the red. They are online, so I can't go and try both on. I won't post pictures of the dresses in case you don't like them!!!

Should I go with safe black, or go for something different and get the red one. There is also a matching sheer bolero top I could get to go with the red one. I would usually go with the safe one, but for some reason I am drawn to the red, but I thought I would get some thoughts form you. You know where I am going to be wearing it, and most of you have met me.

If you are "drawn to" the red one, I say get it. Worst case scenerio is you don't like it when you try it on and then you can send it back.

Fortunately, the child is very strong willed and independent. He'll be 18 in August and he better be ready to move out on his own. She's not going to tolerate any noncompliance to her rules. She'll kick him out.

If he is turning 18 in August and she is kicking him out then how can she prevent him from going on the cruise in October?

I went to bed early... I really did... in bed before 11 pm... and I layed there for 2 hours.

I think the Provigil doesn't want to let me sleep... and I WAS tired...

So now I'm up and doing some work... maybe very soon I will be able to go back...

I still have sore back, oh very painful and find difficult to sleep with it last night

Kids exciting now huh as school finish this Thursday... oh no... Olivia signed three weeks with kids club that is great...

According to his father (my bro) NO...Bs and Cs would be good for him. According to his mother, YES...he is capable and expected to get all As and Bs. Who knows. That's why they divorced. They never agree. I have no clue.

Jane and me never talked until recently. She tried to take over my wedding and when I wouldn't comply she told me that I would never see her son again. Well that didn't happen. My mother had both of her kids all summer long every summer while they were growing up. I saw them just about every day. Then they would come up to mom's house during the year too. I always saw them. I never saw their mother.

Now mom is gone and the kids have grown up. For the kids' sake, I pretent to like Jane. I really dislike her a lot. I hate that she uses her kids as a bargaining chip to get what she wants.

She told me that I had to call Casey today and talk to him about it and she told me that I should take him on my next cruise after the October ones. NO. I'm not doing what she wants. I didn't call him intentionally today and the offer only stands for October. If he doesn't make it on that one, then he's not going on any of them. She should say thank you for me being so generous to her child. I never heard that. All I got was grief.

I'm just not willing to deal with all this drama. It's not worth it. I'll end up cancelling and not offering anything else again. The real problem is that Tristan is her favorite. She says Casey is difficult because he's just like his dad. That is so wrong to do to the kid. Casey was my mom's favorite for the same reason. She used to dote on him. Now he has no one doing that in his life. I tried to pick up the slack by taking him on the cruise. His mother is going to ruin it for him completely. I feel so sorry for him. He really is a good kid.

Mmmm, that is really what I have always thought about formal dresses, and I hadn't thought too much about if i would wear it again other than on the cruises. I should rethink. I do have the black dress with cream trim I bought last week too, though these dresses are more dressy than that one. Oh dear. I could perhaps order both and see, but then i have to pay for the return!!

Oh, well done on the weight loss. do your knees feel any benefit yet?

My knee is a bit better now my back is so painful why one other ...dr laughed at me when I said must be my aged I lost almost 2 stones... very slow but dr said it is good for 6 months better do that way than fast lost weight...

I think I stop go to WW on end of July and return after August as want to lose another stone... (I cannot do it myself as no powerwill )

It's Doctor Day Today!!!!

My appointment is for 10:45am....I'm up and ready to start the coffee, food, vicodin process. I have a feeling this one is really going to hurt a lot. I'm taking a whole vicodin, not half. I'll be asleep by noon.

I'm on my second cup of coffee, one WW blueberry muffin and a half of a vicodin done. I have to wait until 9am to do another half. Then I should be good and looped and ready to go to my doctor appointment.

So John and I talked about the Casey cruising situation this morning. We both want to go for it. We're keeping his reservation and we're hoping beyond all hope that he gets to come. We really want him to come and he really wants to go. So we're throwing caution into the wind and we're taking a huge risk. If he doesn't make it, we figured that MONICA could take a week off in October and do a B2B 4 night/3 night on the Wonder with us for free....better she use it than we waste it.

Back from the Dr's....no lyme disease (yeah!). I basically have NO Vitamin D or B in my system. Dr said that could explain SO much! Will start w/ prescription for Vitamin D once I pick it up from the drug store, and OTC Vitamin B12 too. If B12 is not better by the time for next blood work--I go to B12 shots. Thanks for everyone's concern.

This is great news. I have a script for folbee....it's one pill that contains folic acid, B6 and B12. Ask your doctor about it.

No news yet about the boy....my sister is supposed to tell me when they hear anything.

Visit was good...I was able to spend 1-1 time with both Ian & Sydney. It was really tough leaving. Ian is SO tall now! He's 5'7" - 7 inches already on me, and he's still growing! Hope to get pics up this week.

Hey... Vit D... you live in FL... GET OUTSIDE WOMAN!!! 10 minutes every day will help you... come on... go sweat it out... then when you come back inside to chat with me all afternoon when I'M supposed to be outside getting MY Vit D...
