Naughty turtle

Did I tell you that Crush laid 2 eggs? They were bought in the water and of course since she is alone - not fertile - so strange....

Turtle menopause?

Nice car Michelle.:thumbsup2, and great cross stitch. I used to do cross stitch, but only ever framed a few. None are on the walls now though.

I have things framed... someday I'll hang some up. I have on my shopping list a nice piece of linen so I can start the Tink one I bought in '08. I don't think I will use the threads that came in the kit either...it's easier to pull my own colors already organized and use them. I'll keep you updated if I ever get to do it...

I'm working on one now that I started last year and it's dated... I'm deciding whether or not to change or alter the dates...

Sitting on the front porch having my Saturday morning coffee as is my habit.

I'm nearing the end of the antibiotics. One more pill left.

I am feeling much much better. This had gone on for so many weeks that I had forgotten what it's supposed to feel like to not have a fever and be run down and achy.

We have a visitor with us. Sukie's daughter came over for a last minute holiday. She arrived on Thursday. Nice to have her with us, but Sukie scares me. From time to time he goes into father/parent mode. Not a side of him I have seen often. It's like he's been possessed by someone else.

Today I'm planning to work on ... I forget what it's called, but it's where you take a sheet of paper and list your work experience and accomplishments and when you're done, show it to people. As a result they may ask for you to help them. I forget what that whole process is.

My interview started with a question... "Are you in front of a computer... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:"

This afternoon we decided to take a little drive - to Dover (90miles), as we drove down the A20 it was just like driving over the bridge at PC with our first view of the Magic in port. We found a good viewing spot, the sun came out and we watched her sail away into the English channel to cheering from a small group of supporters - in 14 weeks it will our turn :banana:
We will try to post some pictures tomorrow.

Ann

Well... it's time to clean the office. Spending a week in my sister's uber clean (cleaned by the Merry Maids weekly) house has put me to shame that I cannot find much of the floor in here. (mostly clothes from summer to Winter that I keep pulling out but not organizing...)

& we're having a very mushy meal of tuna casarole tonight because it's cold and yucky and I want mush for dinner...

So if you don't hear from me... I'll be underneath the turtlenecks and the sweaters in the closet. :upsidedow

What a thrill this must have been. Please do post some pictures when you can. 14 weeks will go by quickly and then it will be your turn, how exciting.:cutie:

Tomorrow John and I are going to my baby cousin and his wife's baby shower. The baby will be Jeffrey Kevin Wehrs, Jr. and he'll be arriving on 8/2/10. I love the way you can schedule the date that he's born. We'll be driving to Binghamton, NY....just over the PA/NY border. It should take us 2 hours in each direction and should be a beautiful ride north. I'm looking forward to it.

I know... if John didn't have to work on Monday... you'd drive a few hours north and meet us for dinner... ;)

Have your people keep in touch with mine...

We should do the racetrack in August... (except we can't bring any bubbly in... no glas containers...)

Here are the photos as promised of Connie and Chuck at Dover Castle.

Thanks for the photos. I hope they are enjoying their first day in the North Sea!!!! If it is anything like here it will be pretty cold. Better a cold day on the Magic than a cold one at home though.:lmao:

Lovely Ann!!! I don't think I could have gone to watch her leave seeing as I should have been onboard, but I am not as upset as I expected I would be.(Pathetic I know!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:)

Anyway, not long for us.:cool1: We will be on OUR first sea day in just 14 weeks.:dance3:

Two of our granddaughters ran the Race for Life this morning with their mum. They ran in 34 mins(3 miles) and mum had a hard time keeping up with them:rotfl:

For those who don't know, Race for Life is run each year at various venues up and down the country to raise money for Cancer Research. Run by women, they typically dress in pink, many with photos or tributes to family members or friends who have died of cancer. It is a great fun event and you can run, walk or crawl. Many survivors take part too. I'm sure there is something similar in the US.

Ann - great to see you!! Thanks for the pics.....I'm teary eyed--wish i was still there....even tho I did the Baltics last year, it's still sad that I'm not on the Magic as I was supposed to be....oh well.

Are you still scheduled for the 5th of October???

Give your fab hubby a hug for me....and tell him to give you one for me too

Spent the afternoon yesterday at Heather's house (threebritts). Holly was there so I drove over to the west coast of FL.

I was there for about 4 hrs - lots of fun...good food & great company. Tyler was having a great time in the pool - he's gotten big!

Got home about 9pm last night.

Have been up since about 830a this morning (ugh) - have baked my cake for tomorrow's decorating class (still cooling off) and started my :laundy:. Sitting here now :surfweb: (minus the coffee) with the World Cup game on (Ghana vs Serbia). Wish I'd been able to see the England vs USA game - saw the highlight (or should I say lowlight) of the USA goal. It reminded me of the time (several World Cups ago) when a player (Columbian, I think) made a goal in the wrong net. He was killed when he got back home cuz some drug lord lost lots of $$$ as he had bet that the home team was going to win (and they would have if that player hadn't messed up). Atleast the UK is more civilized :)

That's wonderful!! It's great that they're doing this at such a young age too.

Glad you managed to get to see Holly etc yesterday. Pleased they got there and didn't turn back when Tyler was so poorly.

Those vuvuzelas are a real pain at the world cup. They might get banned yet, but at least they should turn the background noise down on the broadcasts. Some teams are saying the noise is putting them off too for various reasons. Shame as they are a SA thing, though I was reading that originally they were Mexican. I decided our ears just aren't made for that noise. Lots of people are stopping watching, or turning the sound down and putting subtitles up. At least we will only have the England matches on, and they probably won't go on for too long!!!:lmao:

Flattery gets you everywhere :lovestruc Yes, if they return the Magic safely to Barcelona we will be heading your way (along with Marilyn etc. etc).
