We're on the 2nd of Deb & John's cruises - I think the 14th - 16th. We may be at WDW the following weekend too - we go a lot during Food & Wine Festival

Well, maybe we'll be able to have a mini-meet if you do decide to go the following week. I'm hoping that Monica will be able to join me at some point. I think I'm going to book the MNSSHP for the Sunday night though. I love the parade and fireworks and just the whole feel of MK on these nights

Hi Friends. I'm sleepy. Went to the leg doc yesterday and got hurt a lot. Taking pain meds. The update is that he wanted me to get on IV antibiotics for a month. I asked if I had to go to the hospital for that long and he said no. They just put a stint in your chest and John could hook it up for me at home. I said NO WAY I could ever do that. I told him I needed to take 2 valiums just to get the IV in the hand when I was at the hospital last time. I said they would have to knock me out for a month. So that's not happening. I'm continuing with my Keflex pills. Then he said he wanted me to go into an ocean 24/7 for the next month. I would love to, but I can't make that happen. Then he said he was going to prescribe an in ground pool at home. He said to get the leg into the chlorine. This I can actually do. I have a local town pool and we're going to be away at Hershey this weekend. John said he'll wrap the leg in gauze without a pad and then put a stocking over it to hold it in place. I can go in the pool without grossing anyone out. The wrapping will stay wet on the leg when I'm out of the water. Also, I can't get any sun on it so the bandage will help that too.

I asked the doc if it was safe for others if I go into the water with my infection. He said that's what the chlorine is for. It kills it. I didn't know. I would have done it a long time ago.

Our Hershey hotel has an indoor and an outdoor pool. I'm sure I'll be following the doctor's orders.

Just popping by to say hello and er... goodbye!!!! I'm off to WDW on Saturday for 10 days of WDW fun in the sun with a DIS girlfriend - goodness knows I feel like I need it!!! It's been a bit on the yuk-side here lately and I've had a tedious persistent sinus infection that's taken a while to shift - not great.... BUT we're off to Walt's World and that makes everyone feel good so thank goodness!!!

Ken started playing soccer himself tonight, so now he'll be busy playing a couple nights a week. Shaelyn had a game tonight, and the coach was struggling a bit to keep things organized for the girls subbing on & off the field, so I got to be the complaining Mom and point out when he kept Shaelyn off more than the other girls in the first half. It had happened in the last game too. Honest mistakes on his parts where he loses track of who he's put on and off, but it sucks to keep happening to my kid. He did end up fixing things up for the second half, so hopefully he'll do better next game.

Tomorrow night, I get to help Shaelyn do her packing for her Brownie campout. She'll have fun, but it kinda sucks that the campout is 1.5hours drive away and so we have to drive her there on Friday and then back out there on Sunday morning to pick her up. That'll burn up 3 hours each day.

I think we're having a big F&W DIS meet on Oct 17th. I think we should ask our ambassador of meet and greet to coordinate this event for us. Maybe a list of everyone that's going to be at WDW on 10/17. How about if we meet at the gate at Epcot at opening? Then we could all go in together. I have to rent the scooter to drive around in all day. I rent them at the entrance. We could all meet there.

I'm all finished packing for our Hershey trip. I just have the last minute bag and the bathroom bag to pack tomorrow. We leave on Saturday. I'm getting excited to get away for a little bit with John and just play.
