Tyler's dad didn't send birthday cupcakes to school last week and Tyler was pretty sad about it, so we took care of that yesterday, made cupcakes the night before, Tyler picked out 2 flavors to make, 3 different frostings (dark chocolate, and white dyed blue and some white dyed red) with a little green army guy on each. As the kids were eating them at school, I heard 3 of them say "Wow, these are the BEST cupcakes EVER!" The teacher told me they say that every time somebody brings in cupcakes! Well, a coworker who is having a birthday party for herself tomorrow night at a bowling alley asked if I'd be willing to make cupcakes for her party, so I'm going to bake them tonight and Tyler will decorate them after school tomorrow before we go to the party. Looking forward to being able to go to a bowling alley! Haven't been to one in many years because the cigarette smoke triggers a migraine every time. A law was finally passed in Michigan, took effect early May, no smoking is allowed anywhere food is served. WOOHOO!!!!!! This will make going to bingo much more enjoyable too!

Oooh, Holly the cupcake queen!!!!! How fab. I used to love baking whereas I never ever liked cooking. Now I never bake as we just eat it like there is no tomorrow, and I still hate cooking!!! I have to cook though but get fed up of thinking of what to make, and can't be bothered with anything that needs more than 4 ingredients!!! Also John is pretty boring where food is concerned - a real meat and 3 veg man. He will eat rice and pasta if someone serves it to him, but wouldn't say thank you to me for cooking it for him!!! I have those when he has a pizza these days since I have been on a low fat healthier diet. I love pasta!!! But the sauces are usually full of fat. I think I could eat pasta just on its own actually. Ahhhhh, food!!!

I think we're having a big F&W DIS meet on Oct 17th. I think we should ask our ambassador of meet and greet to coordinate this event for us. Maybe a list of everyone that's going to be at WDW on 10/17. How about if we meet at the gate at Epcot at opening? Then we could all go in together. I have to rent the scooter to drive around in all day. I rent them at the entrance. We could all meet there.

OOOOh I arrive in MCO on the afternoon of the 17th - any chance it could be a day later...??? Pretty please!!!!

I'm all packed and ready to go 1st thing in the morning - watch out WDW, here we come!!!!

Happy Friday everybody!

This afternoon has gone well so far, I left work , picked up Kaleigh and we went to watch Shaelyn's school's Spring Concert. I like that it started with the singing of O Canada. Kaleigh did good singing along. Shaelyn was singing in 5 different songs, and she did great (but I may be a little teeny bit biased ) Kaleigh was very cute in the audience, watching very closely, and she kept starting to hum along. With the dancing numbers, there was always hand movements and she was trying to copy them.

Now I'm back at work for the last hour and a half and then its the weekend!

Holly - sounds like you are having fun being a cupcake queen! A few years back my province went smoke free in any public building. Its nice other than in the winter when the smokers are clustered around a doorway and you have to walk through a crowd of them to get into the mall. Most places now make it that they have to be a certain distance from the door. Now I really notice when we travel and there's smoking in a restaurant.

Marilyn - I love pasta too. My mom used to serve plain noodles as a side dish with just a bit of butter on them. My kids thought I was crazy when I suggested it; they love their noodles, but they want something on them. Teriyaki sauce is a favourite of theirs.

Tomorrow night, I get to help Shaelyn do her packing for her Brownie campout. She'll have fun, but it kinda sucks that the campout is 1.5hours drive away and so we have to drive her there on Friday and then back out there on Sunday morning to pick her up. That'll burn up 3 hours each day.

Molly is off for a camp out too this weekend and we get to drive drive drive...
drove her there tonight, pick up at noon to take her to her first vocal rectial (did I mention she is taking voice lessons?) then drive her back for the rest of the event. Lucky she got a ride home

I so enjoyed her getting ready - because for the first time in 7 years I didn't have to go with her I'm so glad I quit and I'm more glad she has decided to move troops to one at her school with a great leader. the hard part will be telling her troop she is leaving - oh well such is life

love all the vaca plans - wish they were mine

Lot to do as I found one case full of kids clothes which are too small so I think I give some to charity and other go to ebay...

I got our 3 Palo reservations. We are only going to do an excursion in St Maarten, so will look at which Island Tour to do. Gibraltar we are doing the Rock with Angie, Dennis and PJ on our own. Madeira we have been to so we will just wander to the town - make sure you look at the webcam for us!!! Tortola we went to last September, so will just wander around there. So, that's that!!!

Our last good day for this spell Deborah so I have loads of washing out. Our daughter moved house yesterday and we went over to help. Well I couldn't do much, but made up some beds and pottered. I brought home a whole load of her laundry though to save them rushing to get the washer plumbed in, so while John has gone back to continue his job of making up one grandson's wardrobes etc, I am dealing with that.

I hope Olivia has a happy and successful day at the tournament.

I slept so badly, and then of course getting up for 5am was adding insult to injury, so consequently after a busy day yesterday and that, I feel like death. Going to have a nice Nespresso cappuccino now and relax.
