I think this is my favorite piece of Disneyana, and I did not even get it at the park! I was at an estate sale one day; the people did not have a lot of Disney, but I saw this sitting there and thought it looked like the Mark Twain. It’s a die-cast pencil sharpener, maybe 3 inches long by 2 inches tall and it looks old. The paddle turns to sharpen the pencil. I like it so much because it was just like finding a little unexpected gift. Now that I'm looking at this up close and enlarged, I think I need to clean it a bit!

Really makes me wonder about who comes up with these things. I mean, who thought -- Wait, how about a sipper of the guy playing the pipe organ in the ballroom scene?? We can make him bright blue! And we can make it glow in the dark! And put candles on it with flames that light up! And we can even add a bunch of faces to the pipes on the organ and hide the straw in the pipes! Perfection!

It is kinda cool.
