You know...it's funny...

One of my friends told me that she thinks Brian is my favorite... (I love all of them!!!) But we've just had a connection since he was born. I was there 10 days after he was born, stayed a couple of weeks to help my sister... was there alot when he was in California, he spent summers with me since he was 6, & we like alot of the same things... (he REALLY loves the lake..)

I laugh that he was attached to me by the hip at age 6... and he always tells me his still is...

So I guess I'm Biased...(5 times over...) Emma and I are also really close... I think alot of it is personality... Mark and May are sort of independent thinkers... not as attached... & Will... we have a special bond too... we like to do the fun things (I let him have the candy at the movies his mom wouldn't let him have... :rolleyes1)

According to conventional wishdom I am not running a fever. My temperature is 98.7F (not Celsius, if it were I wouldn't be typing).

I still feel mildly achy. Normally my temperature runs low, about 97.4 so I suppose 98 is a fever for me, except medical professionals never believe so. Last night I was running 99.5 which had me REALLY achy.

I just wish this would go. I'm gong to NY tomorrow afternoon.

Sore throat and some congestion? That's what I've had for a few days...

I hate achy... I can't sleep when I'm achy...

I don't know...

I got it from Brian and he's in TX...

I only have a few minutes...

Hope everyone who is feeling ill feels better soon :grouphug:

So many of you have very exciting travel plans :goodvibes Have fun!

Marilyn, are you feeling better? I'm hoping you are feeling stronger every day...but getting pampered just a little still

I had the weekend off and it was great sunny warm weather :thumbsup2 I spent hours and hours digging and planting flowers. Exhausted but happy!

Today I went to work and by noon the skies opened up and it poured...but it also thundered and lightning and the winds were something else :scared1: We had water pouring in our store at doors and through the ceiling. Quite a mess. The parking lot was flooded. At home, my house is dry inside but I don't think all of my newly planted flowers are going to make it:sad2: In some areas of the city they got tons of hail...so at least I missed that! We are still under a storm watch, next system is due to arrive in a couple of hours.

Michelle, didn't you have a hail storm last year? I seem to remember you posting pics of hail in your flower boxes?

Take care everyone.

Hi Kathe! :yay:

We did have hail... you'll be surprised... the plants will come back... they will have little holes in them... the massive rain we got last year killed my garden... We have a few plants in - some tomatoes, basil, etc. I will get some flowers when we return. :flower3:

Just as an FYI, Mr & Mrs Woody checked in from Milan today. The have been traveling Europe ever since getting off the EBTA.

If I remember correctly, they come home for a hunk of June/early July then head off again and will be bringing the Magic back home too. Now THAT's living the good life!

Happy Memorial Day. had to make that stand out :thumbsup2
For some reason, even though I am subscribed to the thread, I don't receive notice that there are new postings.

I'm in bed sick again. I was running a fever last night. As of this morning my fever was normal.

I can't afford this now. I have to leave for NY on Tuesday afternoon.

Sorry pal feel better soon :flower3:

Ian....stay in bed!

And mister...there are postings on this thread every single day! :sad2:

Ya what she said :lmao::lmao:

Marilyn, 6/15 is what you had told me most recently.

Well, I've done 3 loads of wash while :surfweb: but must get off the computer and go through piles of mail and pay a few bills. Need to sit down with pencil and paper and re-work my Visa payment schedule and make sure I've got my cruises covered and see if I can squeeze in any weekend getaways. I have a feeling some home repair expenses may put a damper on that possibility.

.

Thanks for the 6/15 reminder I want to jump on that flight(s) for sure $$$ savings.

We had a nice day - went to the boardwalk in Santa Cruz got the kids annual passes - bummer thing is with we can't attend the Free Friday bands because the kids have play practice all summer :sad2: oh well....I'm sure we will go enough anyways to make the passes worthwhile - or as Wilson said they pay for themselves :rotfl2: ya right - after Mom paid for them in the first place

Michelle great picture :thumbsup2

Sad news on my Navy Seal nephew. He washed out of the program - he came home for the weekend (I think to get some mama love) I haven't gotten the whole story - but I'm sure it sucks to be Taylor right now. Something about his whole crew messed up and he took a fall for it :sad2: Prayers for him please - for both strenght to get thru this disappointment and moreover to get a good reassignment that doesn't send him to Iraq any time too soon :sad2::scared1::sad1:

You tell him Holly!!!:thumbsup2 Silly man.:sad2:

I was understanding for a while, but now it's just B.S. It does bother me, I have to admit I was pretty sad for a while, he's so fun to be around, and he really did act interested, but he's now just one fish out there in the sea where plenty more are swimming around ready to be caught. :thumbsup2

So we went to South Haven, the storms held off, got about an hour and a half into the drive and it started raining, was pouring by the time we reached our destination. We got there a half hour before sail time, and the captain called it off & told us to come back to try for the next sail 2 hours after that one. The rain stopped, so we headed to the beach. We had fun for about an hour until the next storm started rolling in from across the lake (Chicago), the sky and water turned amazing colors, so we watched it get darker until the wind picked up, and I knew that meant the rain would start in minutes, so I rushed Tyler out, we managed to get changed and into our car as the first raindrops fell. We watched the storm for a bit, then I drove around showing him all the places and things from my childhood, along with stories. He said "Wow, this place really has a lot of history!" ;) Well, yeah, for me of course. Went back to the marina, the sail was cancelled of course, so we at least went through the Maritime Museum. We still had a fun day, despite the rain changing our plans, and I told Tyler we'll come back next month.....well, he won't be home for more than a couple days in June, so we'll have to go in July. :thumbsup2 Pictures on Facebook, forgot my camera, so I had to use my phone.
