Oh, that's compeling.................

.

That is an excellent sale for eBags. It's rare they have both the discount and free shipping. We love the packing cubes and folders. I also highly recommend their Motherlode line of rolling duffle. I first bought one medium sized for the PA and liked it so much that we now have a set.

Must be nice to be looking forward to another cruise.

(I hate you. )

An she's right! I've got a sweater/shall thingie and I'm taking my denim jacket too!

.

Did you pack the fuzzy socks?? You must bring fuzzy socks... :thumbsup2

I do too :snooty:

Looks like it, have a B&B in London, a private tour in Madeira, a ride on a boat to get over there, a plane ride home. Still a couple gaps to fill, but we're getting there!

My big challenge will be to not buy anything for the trip! I know I'll dream up something I've just got to have, but I'll try to restrain myself.

OK, I MIGHT get new sneakers next week and start breaking them in. Unfortunately I will have to look like a tourist, as I can't stand and walk for very long in any other kind of shoe (though I can do pretty well in my crocs).

Anybody have any favorite sneaker (trainers, Marilyn) styles or brands?

.

You will love Madeira. We had a week there, and April should be the month full of flowers. The roads are frightening though so be warned.

As far as trainers go, cheap is my motto as i don't wear them much!!!

No you don't (a neither do you girls). Besides, Mister, you DO have a cruise booked to look forward to....just WAY forward! :lmao:

There is a flower festival and PARADE going on the day we are there! We have a group of seven who have hired a private tour for the day and folks who wish will be dropped at the festival/parade sight at the end. :thumbsup2

....off to work.....

I commend John on the expert snow removal.

Last night our upstairs neighbors advised me that the garage door wouldn't open (I only go out to the garage on the weekend).

So, in my jammies, boots and down coat I go out there.

Sure enough, the door won't budge. It appears that some of the snow melted and it is now embedded in ice.

I had to get out the hoe and start chipping away and then pry the door loose. Then I had to get some of my 2500 pounds (1200 Kg) of ice melt and throw that down in the hopes that it would not freeze up again.

Just for the record, I am a fan of the more expensive industrial strength ice melt rather than the cheaper rock salt based stuff. I don't care if it is chemicals. It seems to have a freezing point low enough to prevent a refreeze unlike rock salt.

This morning I was out there at 4:45 am to make sure the door would still open.

I know that my neighbors upstairs are anxious to be able to get out of the garage. They need to drive to Pontiac, Michigan to pick up 2 little 12 week old Westie puppies.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I'm looking forward to a nice weekend.
I'm bringing home pizza for dinner, and we'll be watching the opening ceremony of the Olympics. The Olympics are costing a fortune, and I'm sure we'll be paying off the debt for years, but for now, I plan to watch some on TV and enjoy it.

Jackie - your trip plans sound great!

Ian - I had a weird dreaming.....

I dream that I met you and Suski but you both were not happy to see me then we get on great then you both visited me and had a great times...

must be my local that I was dreaming

how weird as I have not see you since Panama Canal Cruise...

so strange is it:confused3

You are SO good... and for the record... my rather large bag of industrial strength earth eating superfund sight causing bag of ice melt hasn't been touched yet this year...

But what a party you guys are throwing!!! The QM and I are already waiting for it - got dinner ready and everything...

(did you tell them however... that they are a little over a year off on the welcoming of our cruise??? They should have invited the world to greet US!!!)

(left over from last year... :rotfl2:)

That was blown off the roof when we got our inch last weekend... it's in the shade all the time so it hasn't melted... but WE should have the 3 feet of snow on the ground... :confused3

Just popping in for a quick comment on the Olympics.

Thank you to Tom Brokaw for that piece he just did on NBC with Al Michaels. That brought me to tears and made me want to wave the flag even more.

On another note...
That big white sail looking thing over Al Michaels shoulder is known as Canada Place. That's where the Wonder will be docked in 2011.

I totally agree!!! It kinda made me want to be part Canadian.... wait... I AM!!!

& I was pointing out the terminal to mom... :thumbsup2

I'm watching Ken. I thought that piece was very touching too. I was thinking of you and Shannon and the girls and Kathe. You have a lot to be proud of and I can't wait to learn all about it.

Canada Place looks awesome. I can't wait to be docked there next year.

I'm looking forward to these Olympic games.:cloud9:

Now remember. Inside this stadium we will be watching the opening ceremonies, the big marshmallow, is where we (Shannon, the girls and I) go to watch our favourite football team - the BC Lions. We've been in there MANY MANY times.
