cross your fingers (again) another phone interview tomorrow :thumbsup2

one of these is bound to turn into a job eventually :cool2:

Pixie Dust and Positive Thoughts coming your way. YES, it will happen. Just be persistent. Good Luck!

why are you awake so late Deb?

I just woke up. Vicodin induces sleep at weird hours.

That's why I crack up when I hear that Tiger Woods was snoring after his accident and he was taking Vicodin and Ambien. That'll put you to sleep for sure! But one should do the job if his tolerance levels are normal. Apparantly his are not if he needs both. Keep going and he'll end up like Michael Jackson. Just because they're famous, does not make them invincible. I took a whole Vicodin yesterday by mistake. I thought it was my antibiotic. It killed me that I took too much. I never take a whole one. In extreme pain I take a half and then another half after 1-2 hours. Then I only take it for a week maximum at any given time. It's a narcotic, it's addictive. It's my responsibility to know better and make sure that doesn't happen. I guess famous people just don't get that memo.:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Wow! I'm living in the wrong place. We almost never get that much snow. Maybe once every other year at most. :sad2:

On a regular winter we get 6-12 inches every other snow storm. Further north they get 1-2 feet normally....higher elevations. Lately, it's been more ice storms in the winter than snow accumulation. We'll see what this winter brings.

stated that very well Deb. I'm pretty disgusted when I hear about drug abuse and celebrities. I just don't get it :snooty:

Hey on that cruise you're going on, make sure you don't go in the water at CC, they have rays there ya know :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: and I won't be there to save (or toss you under my running feet so they eat you instead of me) you

Well now I have to stay onboard and make it another sea day. I can't get off the boat and not go in the water. It'll be way too hot. So since you're not there to rescue me....throw me to the fishies....I'm not venturing off the boat.:laughing::laughing:

Nan, I hope the interview comes to something that is just perfect for you.

Well done to Molly for the role in Mulan. Shame she dies, but we do prefer villains to die!!!

Royal Annoucement

We figured out tonight what part Molly has in the Mulan musical....

She is Magyar - the Hun Soldier :woohoo: :cool2: (evil can ya say evil)

Neither of us know who this is, but Jeff, the director, was very happy to tell me tonight that she is a VILLIAN

Making her evil mama proud :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

She gets her script tomorrow :yay:

Congrats to Molly!:cool1::banana:

Hahaha....so funny and true, but this time we're only taking a weekender. No garment bag, we only have one semi formal so we're not going to bother. Besides, I have nothing to wear because nothing fits. So I had to take what I'm bringing out of the Tortola suitcase and wash and repack into the weekender. Plus I needed a warm outfit....just in case.

Having nothing that fits is a great problem to have! Way to go!:cool1::cool1:

Best of all worlds - villainy and then a dramatic death!!! Work that audience, Molly!!!

So true. The Tiger Woods thing is a weird one but then he's had such a hothouse upbringing. I guess he had to have some kind of outlet... :confused3

Phew!!! Caught up!!!

Hello everyone!!!
So my court ordeal (courdeal???) is over!!!:yay: :yay: :yay: Thanks be to the patron saint of witnesses!!! :worship: :worship: :worship: I don't suppose there is one but, for creative purposes, let's assume her name is Whitney... And let's thank her... :thumbsup2

Anyway, it wasn't too bad - lots of waiting around as predicted but we had a little room and I had a book so all was good.

I was called 3rd and spent about 15 minutes in the witness box. I did the whole "I swear by Almighty God" thing which was cool - very Law & Order!!! Tho' I wished Linus Roache had been asking the questions.. ;) I hadn't focused on how it would actually feel beforehand so was surprised at how nervous I became walking in!! My mouth went very dry at one point. :scared: But the prosecution lawyer guided me through it and I recounted my version of events. Well, my statement's version of events - I can hardly remember a thing!!! :sad2:

It was a little tricky when the defence lawyer tried to trip me up about the lenses of this guy's glasses being thick-rimmed or thick. I'd actually meant thick (they were like the bottoms of bottles) but the stoopid policeman had written thick-rimmed and the even stoopider witness (me!!!) hadn't spotted it and signed the statement without realising!!! Fortunately he allowed me to backtrack and state that I must've meant thick-rimmed if that's what I said - for a moment there, I thought I was going down for perjury!!!

So that's that.

Today, I have a great :santa: day planned. I shall be writing Christmas cards and wrapping gifts before getting ready to go to St. Paul's Cathedral for a Breast Cancer Carol Concert this evening!!! Here's a little link to the event - can't wait to hear Jeremy irons and John Hurt do their readings...

And then I get to see Richard after 3 days apart - like I said, it's a great day!!! :woohoo: Hope you all have one too.. ::grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Quite a day for you.

Do you have extra tickets to the concert for Sukie and I? I'd love to go to a carol's concert at St. Pauls!

Have they completed that Brown Line L station yet that stops near St. Pauls?

HOLLY.....

6 INCHES AND COUNTING... SNOWING HARD... :cold::cold::cold:

HOLLY.....

6 INCHES AND COUNTING... SNOWING HARD... :cold::cold::cold:
Yeah, yeah, I know. Our less than an inch is melting because it's 40 degrees. :sad2: About an hour to the west of us, Grand Rapids, MI, they get lake effect snow (which tapers off before us in the middle of the state), and 249 schools are closed, they have a foot of snow with a foot more coming, and the courts have been calling us today telling us they're rescheduling all cases for tomorrow because they anticipate not being open. I WANT THAT SNOW! I don't want to miss work (which would never happen anyway), I just want to build lots of snowmen! :yay:

To everybody with bad weather, stay in and stay safe (unless, of course, you're out making SNOWMEN!). :goodvibes

At 5:00 am we had 6 inches, but it has since turned to rain and is making a slippery mess outside. I would prefer that it had stayed snow. All that water is going to turn to ice soon. YUCK!

John wanted me to post pictures of his diamonds....I mean, The Beast. I said I already posted pics and he said, yea but now it's moved and you can see it better. He really loves his truck. So here are more pics of the BEAST.

This one shows the Beast with the snow plow attached, which John put on last night thinking we might need it today.

This is a closer one of just the Beast.

Just one more close up and then we're done.
