Non-Farmville person having issues with FB today. Some posts don't show up and others show up twice. It's funky today.:confused3:confused3

thanks for sending and telling me (I don't always remember to look at yahoo), you've made them before right?

I've made everything except the Mashed Potatoes with Ranch Dressing, that's new this year. I had bought Bon Appetite and it looked really good.

The Pumpkin Bread Pudding is so easy it's ridiculous. It tastes AMAZING. I use challah for the bread. But any really good egg bread will do. If you can't find challah, I suggest using Hawaiian bread.

The other recipe I really recommend is the Potato Gratin with Gruyere and Creme Fraiche. That one is so good I want to dive head first into the dish. I make the creme fraiche which sounds like a bigger deal than it is. You just warm up some cream and add a couple of tablespoons of buttermilk to it and then let it sit covered on the kitchen counter for 2 days.

People fight over those potatoes.

I decided to make the mashed potatoes with ranch dressing because the recipe called for buttermilk and gave me the opportunity to use up all the left over buttermilk I always have to dump out that's left over from making the potato gratin.

I'm still trying to catch my mouse (or mice). :headache: I only see it once every few days and I keep moving the traps closer to where it seems to be coming from. Well....... I finally found where it's coming from. I was awoken at about 6am by a crackling noise very close to MY HEAD. I bolted up and saw it walking across a plastic bag on MY NIGHTSTAND!!! :scared1: Then Tyler (who had come in sometime during the night) sat up and saw it jump down to the floor and run out into the living room! It freaked me out to see how close to my head it was! I'm sleeping in Tyler's bed until I catch it (or them). He has a loft bed, so they surely can't jump that high or climb the ladder. :headache:

I have posted this on Facebook, but am posting it here as well.

Good morning. clocks went back last night so I think we are 6 hours different for a while. I love these clock chang days.

Not much time for replying, sorry.

Wow, that is truly scary Kathe.

Sure... we stay up 1/2 the night and you have nothing to say??? :rotfl2:

If anyone brought a greenbean casserole they would not be permitted to bring it in the house. They'd have to eat it in the garage or on the front porch. Sort of the same if they want to have a cigarette.

I hear Mrs. F is a BIG gb cassarole fan... :thumbsup2

Wow, this is great. It's when when it starts to become habit and not something you have to think about. That's wonderful!

See... I told you you weren't crazy Deb...

Anybody ever thought about booking a vacation with Adventures By Disney?

Look what I just found out:

Anyone up for a last minute vacation?

.

I would love to....but I'm a little overbooked right now. hahaha...as if that's possible.

I remember looking into Adventures when I first found out about it. I would LOVE to do it. I think that they were very pricey when I checked. See what you find out. I'm curious to know.

Yup... I hear a second mortgage on your second mortgage is needed...

Not even fit for T& T to eat! hahahaha.:lmao::lmao:

T & T are sending out for pizza that night...

ok, I'll look at the potatoes too, I was going to ask, but decided not too since there was one potatoe dish already, but I like you don't have a great need for extra buttermilk, or Buttmilk as we call it in my family. Share this gross thought with me...My mother mixes Buttmilk and cran rasberry juice together, GROSS  It looks like chucky vomit to me :sad2: glad I could gross ya out :lmao::lmao:

Check you .ix email address.

Your entire family will be smacking themselves because it is so good.

I make this one several days ahead and after it cools I freeze it. Then let it thaw in the fridge and reheat it.

roger that :thumbsup2 I'll get it tomorrow when I'm at my desk:flower3:

Of course I'll share recipes! No one's ever asked me, except for Nan, who has made the Bourbon Candied Sweet Potatoes.

If anyone else is on Epicurious I can also share recipes there too.

:yay: In that case I'd like the Roasted Root veggies, Potato Gratin, Brussel Sprouts and Sweet Potatoes :flower3:

I haven't had too many to cook for in quite a while, but now that my son and GD are here, and my son's girlfriend will be in a week or so, I find I'm cooking and planning once again :thumbsup2

Thanks to all for your concern regarding the gunman :grouphug: I'm feeling MUCH better now. But I'm going to pursue getting an answer as to how the whole situation was allowed to happen. The employee that let him in hasn't worked a shift since that night so we have to wait until he comes in to question why and how not to ever let any one else into the building without the proper authorization again. Some employees are asking our union to become involved as well. Many , including myself, feel even if we had been informed it was the wrong way to deal with our bird problem!

I'm still waffeling about TA EB with Willie. It just seems like a lot of sea days doing nothing (which is fine for me) but I think he will get loney and bored. I'd want to sit on my lounger and in the cafe cove :rolleyes1

Since I have a pretty big deposit on it $1.2K I'm thinking about breaking that up and saving a few others. My thoughts are that I'll also want to go at the last minute and rebook when the price drops. Who knows...time will tell.

Today Molly and I are going to see a play at Notre Dame High School. It's the all girls high school she is looking at going to. The play is quiet somber, its about Bosian refugees. I hope she is ok with it. I want to take her to see the other kind of theater she could do.

The boys are mowing the lawn here and at our rental. They plan on going to the track TOMORROW for Speed's first day back on the track :thumbsup2
I wish I could go with them, maybe I will...hmmm they are going with friends might not be room for me, or they might not want mommy around either :sad2:

Willie season ended yesterday at the last race at Infineon. His friend from So Cal won the season, not sure where Willie came in, maybe 6th or 7th. He had all those great points from the first 4 races. HA he beat Chole :lmao: She only raced with the Nor Cal group twice and sucked both times :rotfl2: So much for the big winner from last year

I hope we will get to do the AZ race in Jan 2010 and see the SouthWestern fan club :grouphug:

Off to shower leaving in 45 minutes :flower3:

Nan, you know I'm still hoping you're onboard for the TA, but I understand why you're unsure right now  If it's meant to happen it will....
As for me, with all the excitement around here I know I will NEED those 6 sea days by April ;)

Enjoy your night out with Molly! Good luck to Speed on his first night back out there on the track :thumbsup2
