Don't worry Marilyn... The QM has the house stocked with all kinds of chicken soup and good things...
It's just a nuisance now... I hope it's one of those 24 hour things...
How's England? They didn't change alot while you were gone were they??? Liz still queen?
Hope you wake up feeling better today Michelle.
England is ok. I have been called up for Jury Service at the end of November. It is stressing me out. I can't make a decision on what to have for tea, so what on earth am I going to be like in a court case? They shouldn't call up post menopausal women.
There has been plenty of other years to randomly pick out my name and just now it not the right time.
I just want it to go away, the plumber to go, the house be finished and clean, everything unpacked and put away, Christmas organised and all the other problems to go.
Ok, my rant for this day. Off to my corner.
Hope you wake up feeling better today Michelle.

It is a miracle to get selected for a jury. Most people on jury duty don't get called. I'm the exception, I've been called twice and served twice, but both times as an alternate, so I never went to deliberation. Once for a double murder trial in NY, and once for a drug ring here in Chicago.
I was picked for jury duty once. Almost 4 weeks of driving downtown Atlanta everyday. It was some of the employees of Northwest vs Northwest airlines. It was loooong and boring! The only thing that I got out of it was to never fly NW.
I'm off to New Orleans in a few minutes to have a fun weekend(since we will not win the game). Have a great rest of the week everyone!!!
Have a great weekend!! We're rooting for ya!!!
Deb... are we not sleeping again???![]()

I've been called 5 times (once was federal) in just the last 4 years! Luckily beyond the one day I've only picked one and served for 8 days.
They told us this year the average person only gets called 3 times in their lifetime - I'm way ahead of the curve on this one.
And in Florida being 72 or older automatically gets you out of jury duty if you want. It seems to be the only way to get out of at least the one day - financial hardships, childcare, etc have to be presented to the judge in person so you have to go at least the first day.
Hope you wake up feeling better today Michelle.

I've done it twice too, but I never got picked. I wanted to...it just didn't happen. John has never gotten called.
I started on my exercise bike last night. I got up to 5 minutes and thought I was going to die. I'll try to do 10 minutes today. I have to take it slow because I don't know how it's going to make the muscles feel. I have pain already before starting so I have to gently push forward. If I can only do 5-10 minutes at a time, I'll try to do it 2-3 times today. I'm excited about being able to do it. I just wish I could lower the seat some more. It adjusts but it doesn't go as low as I would like. I think the more I do it the better it will get.
Deb - How exciting! I am thrilled that you will be able to start incorporating more activity. It must be exciting to be rediscovering your body. John could help motivate you by giving you a diamond for every 100 miles. I know he'd appreciate the suggestion, so you can tell him that there's no need to thank me for the idea.
Hearing stories like yours is the reason I do my part time WW job. That and the discovery that I get a bit of "pin money" for cruise and stuff. Though primarily to help people like you.
