The flu.... what a way to lose weight...


The QM leaves today... I have to get her to the airport and then I'm coming home and diving back into bed.

Please hold all my calls... cancel my afternoon appts... and tell everyone that the Xmas party has has to be postponed until at least Wednesday...

I am off to work now oh god I cannot be bother as I should stay home watch tv

Kids are in school until tomorrow half day... what a crazy as they should finish last Friday...

Great Googalie-Moogalie!


I've uncovered surfaces in the office/craft room that haven't seen the light of day in years! Well, OK, since March of 08...the last time Dianne was here.

House is all ready for the cleaning service to come tomorrow (7am!) And I get to PLAY this afternoon....good thing too, because I'm at the exciting conclusion of my current trilogy so now I can finish it with a clear conscience.

So I may mosey over to my neighborhood pizza place and get a 7 inch personal pizza and a big ole glass of diet cola and finish my book on their paito! BWWAAAAA HHAAAAAA HAAAAA! (Take that you snow people!)

I've never heard anybody say Great Googalie Moogalie except Maggie & the Ferocious Beast! And grrrr to you going to sit on a patio. We've got snow, snow and more snow. Holly would be happy at my house.

I've never heard anybody say Great Googalie Moogalie except Maggie & the Ferocious Beast!

I don't remember where I picked that up....but I hear Jerry Seinfeld's voice in my head when I say it, so it must be from him.

And if it makes you feel better, I didn't do patio dining yesterday. I forgot they don't open till 4PM on Sunday, so I just went over to Chicago Gyro for a red hot (another fine health option).

MY HOUSE IS CLEAN! ​

I just discovered, however, that when they emptied the two small waste baskets in my office they ALSO took the bag of papers that was under my shreader and threw then out too. Everyone pray no identity theives are at the dump tonight going through garbage!

The QM has landed in TX... was delayed with all the flights, etc.

She has left me lots of food to get through the next couple of days... and if I need... I can have Gabriels deliver...

Slept quite a bit today... but I still feel like I've been hit by a truck.

It WAS interesting that I had the TV on today and they show, The Doctors... was featuring a show on "How to know you have the Flu!!!"

She has left me lots of food to get through the next couple of days... and if I need... I can have Gabriels deliver...

Slept quite a bit today... but I still feel like I've been hit by a truck.

Uggghhh......I've never had the flu, never want it....I hope you feel better quickly Michelle.

It's quite draining...

luckily mom has provided me with lots of easy stuff to eat and my neighbor Joyce is going to the store for juice etc. for me tomorrow...

It's not fun... I just wish I could have gotten the flu shot, but when they were offering them here, I didn't qualify for the regular shot (mom did thankfully...) so here I am... ohh yuck. It's just like having a bad cold but it also feels like you've gotten hit by a semi...

Update from John...

Good news Marilyn is coming home from hospital today. Panic now setting in!!! Is the house clean enough??? Just found a list of jobs I should have done (clean windows, wash front door, clean conservatory etc. Oh well have a coffee I think!

I told him not to worry... she'll be on Morphine...It's Pixie Dust!!!

I am now signing off from posting updates re Marilyn. May I thank you all for your support / comments etc. They have been a pillar of strength for us both. Marilyn will take over I am sure as soon as she is home. I am sure this first thing she will do is open her laptop!

Hi Shell, so sorry you're home sick and missing Christmas with family. Which flu do you have....the seasonal one or the H1N1? Me and John managed to get the shot for both. Either one is aweful. I hope you feel better very soon.

I'm pretty sure it's the regular one... I kinda figured I'd get it since I couldn't get the flu shot this year... Mom could, but I didn't qualify after they started rationing it earlier... that I'd get it.

I feel crappy, but hopefully it will start to get better soon. I have incredible neighbors who are helping too...Joyce made a run to the store for me and Don took mom to the airport.

Just spoke to the QM... she is headed out for lunch with the royal nephews.. Chinese I hear... then she will be chaufered over to the store to get the ingredients for the Royal Chocolate Chip cookies that have been requested.

I'm glad the QM landed safely and she's off doing her royal errands.

I'm in an impatient wait mode. I'm completely ready to do Christmas and to leave for vacation.....neither one is here yet.....so impatiently I wait and wait. I need it to get here or I need something else to do while I wait. I'm just taking care of the leg right now....wrapping twice a day, exercise bike, soaking and scrubbing, pumping and elevating. It keeps me busy. But I would rather be cruising and I'm ready to go. haha.
