If you can't afford the time to do any real time in Europe, I'd sell her on the historical aspects of the PC. I know that I read the book "The Path Between the Seas" and watched the PBS American Experience about it before our cruise. That greatly enhanced it for me. It was like a floating on a huge piece of history.

The historical aspect and how wonderful an opportunity it is to see that might appeal to your sister.

Crap! I just realized you're talking bout your ex SIL and not your big sister. OK, another tact to use is that the PC has more ports and more opportunities for land based fun than the TA has.

The historical aspect could still work with Pam. Di took a pass on the PC, as I offered to do it with her first. When she said no I presented it to Pam as an alternate to the WBTA. I'm also getting a quote to add a third person to the room as a cost saving measure...then we'll have to talk Peg into joining us. :rolleyes1

Well, Holly, keep in mind, that group hardly 'exists' yet, as only a handful of people were able to book yesterday (or at all this week). We may see some old friends showing up.

But I sure know what you mean about the THIEVES! :grouphug:

.

You never know who you haven't met yet, in light of the fact that you had never met the people here until you engaged and met them.

All very true! :thumbsup2 I wish more of this group were going, but I'm excited about hanging out with those who are! :yay: I'll just have to take the plunge and meet new people. :goodvibes

Hi friends! I now have a new goal in life....to make platinum before sailing on the B2B Alaskan repo....April 27, 2011. John and I looked over some 3 night sailings....if I lower us to a cat 7 it's just over $1k for both of us....doable.....very doable. I would need to do two of them because I already have another 7 night western booked during Halloween and Monica's birthday 10/30/10. Anyone else want to join us for that one? Me and John and Monica are booked.

I will most likely cancel the Wonder PC and the southern Christmas cruise that I have booked now. I think more Thieves are doing the Alaskan than the PC....I don't care where the boat goes, I just want to be with my friends onboard. We have so much fun.

OK getting ready to head out and go to Blizzard Beach today....then Downtown Disney....Epcot tomorrow and dinner with Connie and Chuck at Mimi's Cafe...and Monica too if she feels better.

I'm sad about you canceling the Wonder PC but excited for you to have a few cruises to go on! :goodvibes

I have barely scratched the surface of the 17 billion photos from this past vacation, but I thought I'd post some important ones:

Sukie and I on Formal Night

Sukie and I on Semi-Formal Night (unfortunately no photo of us with the rear (so to speak) of the fezzes)

These are great!! :goodvibes

Just because we miss you Nan....John made this door sign for your next cruise.

NAN-2.jpg

You just miss making fun of me :snooty:

Deb, see if John will email that to me and I'll print it and have it ready to goooo goooo goooo :thumbsup2

I'll wager that Nan can carry cocktails on her head like that.

::yes::

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

(a queen to a dog??? :duck:)

shut up :mad:

I would have to guess that she has had some practice.

::yes:: haven't you watched me???

Hey -

Now that Nan's a dog...does this mean she's not allowed to bite on Mondays either???

try me out :mad:

I think I saw Nan post on the repo/1st Alaskain cruise thread.

::yes:: I'm in with Deb and crew la-van repo alaska B2B, every time I think of Alaska I'm saying it like Sandra Bullock in Proposal...AAAAAAAlaska :laughing:

That's so cool!!!!!! :rotfl2:

yes I am ;)

Ian, I understand about the time and the TA :guilty: I'm expecting it will fall off for us too.(but maybe Monica and I will steal away if it is last minute cheap ya never know) There are other things I think the boy will want to do. Paul found a early series race that might be good for him and we'd be in AZ....anyone we know wanna come cheer on Speed Wilson???? I'll ask him more details and keep ya posted.

& sorry I'm not around much, life is in the way at the moment and I expect it will be for a while.

Can anyone (Michelle) summarize what was said while we were in disposed last week please :flower3:

Hey Deb, we both so want to do the B2B, but there is no way I can make it work. My job has to may deadlines built in. Between monthly statement due to the factory and payroll its a no go. Now the calling in sick, hum...dont think that would work, since I never call in sick so they would know something is up. And besides I'm way to vocal about our Disney trips. (I kind of have a rep if you know what I mean)

Hmm maybe I'll have to try and use a PM to the PM to get Canadian Customs to force you to come up early... ;)

Monday I plan on moving our OBB from 08 to Alaska Aug 23rd. My plan is to take the train to seattle, drop in on Kaylee and Scott, then train to Vancouver and fly home at the end of cruise.
What, no time to spend with your Canadian family when in port? I'm sure we can swing a quick trip down to Van if ppl are in town. It is only 8 hrs away (which for us isn't that big of a deal).

Ummmmmmmm.......no.

We talked about you all week... .if you can't go back 15 pages and read well then... :snooty:

Hey ken...

Can you please repost that Canadian Outfit for Ian so he can start planning?

Wouldn't want him showing up in red now do we??? :rolleyes:

I'm not going to pull the trigger just yet and wait until we get closer to the final payment date, as we may have a change of heart, though I think it's unlikely. I

You bet we can. We can always head up a few days earlier. Leave on Wed, spend a day or so in seattle and a couple in Van before sail date. We'll talk ::yes::

And good point about the extras on other lines, had not really thought about those.

Note to self....stock up on Tequila! :cool1:
The extras....they did add up but in the end, I think it is still cheaper than DCLs prices. Our inside cabin was 2200.00 for the 4 of us on NCL and DCL starting price was 1900 for 2A. But, it wasn't/isn't the Wonder! I am just really sad that DCL chose to do TAF rather than Glacier Bay......the main reason I probably won't cruise to AK on DCL, Sawyer Glacier great to see once.

Just because we miss you Nan....John made this door sign for your next cruise.

Ken, when you are talking 8 hours...just add another 3 and head down to Seattle for an even bigger party! :):thumbsup2
