pirate:AAARRRGGGHHHHHH!!! That be My fine wench snaggin the pirate!pirate:

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I have booked the b2b too....LA to Vancouver then 1st Alaska.....may end up begging for a roommate later but not sure yet :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

Not sure if I can keep up w/ those 2 threads tho....may not do much on them until it gets closer....would rather keep up w/ you guys

I think it's good to do it that way... then we'll invade!!!

YEAHHH.....Fishlips, Champagne Girls, Shots Around The Ship and Old Geezers. We know how to have fun!;)

We're gonna need booze to keep us warm...

We should probably just have one thread for LA to Alaska.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We have LA-Vancouver (4/27/11) / Vancouver-Alaska (5/3/11) booked (thanks Deb) as a B2B. It's quite a ways off which in some ways is a relief because at least we can plan and save for it. We have the same Cat 11 for both legs of the trip.

I know some folks are hot for the next PC repo, but for me it's a "been there done that." If I'm going to spring for the bucks, I want to do something new.

I'm also sort of starting to panic. I have only a little over 500 days to plan our outfits.

Just breath... I'm sure the inspiration will come to you... perhaps something Canadian??? Mucklucks? (cue ken with muckluck picture again... :rotfl2:)

Now THIS is how I like our thread... Welcome back everyone!!! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Maybe we should call Gaylean and tell her...

No traffic at all (and I think I "napped" for most of the ride :lmao:). We stoppped at Tijuana Flats to pick up dinner so we didn't have to cook. We had a great time!!!

:thumbsup2

Next, it's time to get ready for your cruise...I'm excited for you!

I feel bad saying this, but I have no desire to get to know the people on the PC thread, I just want to hang out here. :grouphug:

Stay here Holly... we love you...

Aw, thanks, I love everybody here, that's why I don't want to post there much. I did post a few times, but am just not drawn to them the way we were here. We definitely have a unique group here! :grouphug:

Morning Thieves!

I can't remember what I reported and where I reported it, but here's what I have booked.

The PC, which would replace the WBTA, if my (ex)SIL agrees. It is more expensive (for the same room), but the dates work better for both of us work-wise. We'll be checking out the airfare/added expenses to see how they balance out.

I also booked the 8/30 Alaska, but truthfully, Dianne and I will probably look at a different cruise line for that vacation (and maybe I can talk her into going this coming summer if I don't do the WBTA).

So my travel plans are still up in the air for now. :confused3

Well, Holly, keep in mind, that group hardly 'exists' yet, as only a handful of people were able to book yesterday (or at all this week). We may see some old friends showing up.

But I sure know what you mean about the THIEVES! :grouphug:

You never know who you haven't met yet, in light of the fact that you had never met the people here until you engaged and met them.

Hi friends! I now have a new goal in life....to make platinum before sailing on the B2B Alaskan repo....April 27, 2011. John and I looked over some 3 night sailings....if I lower us to a cat 7 it's just over $1k for both of us....doable.....very doable. I would need to do two of them because I already have another 7 night western booked during Halloween and Monica's birthday 10/30/10. Anyone else want to join us for that one? Me and John and Monica are booked.

I will most likely cancel the Wonder PC and the southern Christmas cruise that I have booked now. I think more Thieves are doing the Alaskan than the PC....I don't care where the boat goes, I just want to be with my friends onboard. We have so much fun.

OK getting ready to head out and go to Blizzard Beach today....then Downtown Disney....Epcot tomorrow and dinner with Connie and Chuck at Mimi's Cafe...and Monica too if she feels better.

Just popping in to say Hi!

The thread gets busy when there's cruise bookings to make ;)

Now I have to get back to work and actually get my lunch eaten before my lunch break ends.

We are seriously reevaluating the cruises we've got booked, now that we have the B2B LA to Alaska booked.

I am fairly sure we will cancel the eastbound transatlantic, though I won't take any action until it's close to final payment. It's a pity too, because of the great rate we have, but I am so concerned about time off.

Sukie's daughter and grandkids want to come over in 2010 for a trip to WDW and I really don't have the time to take 2 weeks for cruise, then 2 weeks again in the fall. I have to prioritize, and the TA may need to go.

There are also things afoot with my company, and I don't know whether I can commit the resources to the cruise.

Company situation aside, it's so odd, because it's not a matter of resources, given that the cruises are so spread out it provides plenty of time to save, but more a matter of time.

Looking at it in terms of priorities, going to Europe via boat would be neat, but given that I'd have to fly back the day after, it's not that neat. The B2B would be higher on my list.

I hear you on the flying thing, Mister. I need to work on my comparison sheet for my sister-in-law. The PC is $838 per person more that the WBTA (same exact stateroom), so I have to show her that the $ can be made up in saved airfare and other travel expenses. The trip to Barcelona may require an extra travel day too. Anybody have any ideas on things I should list?

If you can't afford the time to do any real time in Europe, I'd sell her on the historical aspects of the PC. I know that I read the book "The Path Between the Seas" and watched the PBS American Experience about it before our cruise. That greatly enhanced it for me. It was like a floating on a huge piece of history.

The historical aspect and how wonderful an opportunity it is to see that might appeal to your sister.

Crap! I just realized you're talking bout your ex SIL and not your big sister. OK, another tact to use is that the PC has more ports and more opportunities for land based fun than the TA has.

If we get to do Disney at all , it would probably be the Aug 23 cruise. But at this point, a veranda on another line with Glacier Bay thrown in for less money is way more appetizing. Round trip out of Seattle with....Juneau...Skagway...Glacier Bay National Park.. Ketchikan...Victoria...ballpark price for balconey stateroom with transfers/fees/ (2010 prices) comes in at $3300 .

Hey Bubba, DCL's not going to Glacier Bay so that counts....but I'm in a cat 6 SR 5122.....my home.....and the 7 nighter is $3950. A $650 difference, but I do remember Kaylee saying how annoying those additional charges onboard are. I don't know how much of a difference it is when you add those.:confused3

At least you have options and you should consider everything. I hate that you and V can't go with us. There's just no way right? It's V's job or something? Maybe she could call in very sick for those weeks?:confused3

Hi Deb!!!

Hi Shell.....I'm back. Is it cold at home? It was when I left. I'm enjoying the sun and warmth, but tomorrow is my last day. Thursday we'll be heading back with one overnight on the highway. Then arriving home on Friday. What a great trip it's been.

Stay here Holly... we love you...

YES we do!!!!

Hey Deb, we both so want to do the B2B, but there is no way I can make it work. My job has to may deadlines built in. Between monthly statement due to the factory and payroll its a no go. Now the calling in sick, hum...dont think that would work, since I never call in sick so they would know something is up. And besides I'm way to vocal about our Disney trips. (I kind of have a rep if you know what I mean)

Monday I plan on moving our OBB from 08 to Alaska Aug 23rd. My plan is to take the train to seattle, drop in on Kaylee and Scott, then train to Vancouver and fly home at the end of cruise.

And good point about the extras on other lines, had not really thought about those.

Glad to hear that you'll be with us!

Have fun today!!!

Oh me too.....I love being with you....now which one is it again when we'll be together?

We did have SO much fun again today. Blizzard Beach was awesome. No heatstroke or meltdowns like we have had the past two days. Cool and comfy because we were wet all day. We did the lazy river, the ski lift ride up to the top of the mountain then we road down in the big sized family rafts, then the wave pool and then we did a double tube around the lazy river again. I think I'm going to request that Disney put a lazy river on the Dream. I would love to float in the water while on the boat. How cool would that be!!

With wet clothes and hair, we headed to the Earl of Sandwich in Downtown. We bought pins, food and hand sketches of figment and tink. We stayed cool while walking around. It was a great day.

We're staying in tonight....pooped. I'm weining off of my temporary steroids...so my energy level is fading quickly. Tomorrow is an early day at Epcot....our favorite. Then dinner at Mimi's with Theives.
