Toques are???? like a scarf? I could try that.. but I crochet... is that ok?

Planky need everything... :lmao:

toques are the hats!
but again sizes are a pain.
Lets stick with scarves, knit, crochet, whatever works. We'll all look spiffy!:goodvibes

I wonder if they will do Pirate night or something else... :confused3

& I wonder if we might see the Northern Lights???

Northern Lights are a definite possibility! That would be cool to see from the deck ::yes::

ME! ME! ME! That's the one I've been waiting to hear. The only bad thing is the timing. If I'm looking at it right, I think Tyler would be off 2 weeks for the holidays, go back to school the 3rd and 4th, then we'd leave the 5th to fly down the day before the cruise, so he'll miss a month of school total! I need to hurry and ask his dad while we're still so far out, perhaps he won't realize that until after I've already booked. Not good for Tyler to be out of school that long...BUT.....he will still have the same teacher because he'd be in 3rd grade (he has the same teacher for 1st-4th) and she's already made many comments on how much he learned when we did the PC before, so I'm sure she'll give him the OK and just have him report to the class or something (which he voluntarily did last time without it being assigned). :thumbsup2

I think you & Tyler will have a great time, but you should think about the west coast trip! Canada is cool!

That's what I was thinking, (weather) but going north in May might have fewer kids, since school is still in, but if kens right and the return is not till sept, kids would be back in school right, and your right not long to ponder. I didn't expect booking to open so soon.
I know, that sucks! I wasn't planning on trying to come up with the deposit so early. :scared1: But I did some re-budgeting and will be able to swing it. :dance3: And then when I get my tax refund back for this year, I'll be able to fully pay off my balance! :cool1:

Holly...

Just remember also... that tyler was in kindergarden or 1st grade when he went last time. The school may not let him skip that kind of time seeing as he is in special ed... talk to them definately...

This part cracks me up:

Tuesday Vancouver, Canada — 3:00 p.m.
Wednesday Victoria, Canada 7:15 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

It's 1 hour from Van to Vic by ferry. That is certainly a "slow boat to China" to take that long. LOL

I'm still not sure about the return to LA cruise because of the time frame after getting off from the Van to Alaska cruise.

You get off the ship on the 6th of September then you have to hang around Vancouver for 2 weeks before it heads south again on the 20th of September?

I also find it hard to believe that the ship is out of commission for 2 weeks, that is a lot of lost revenue for Disney...
I'm sure somebody already posted this, I haven't caught up yet. It says on DCL's website with the itineraries there's a tentative 14-day dry dock in Sept, so that's probably when.

Ok... I just got off the phone with Monica... this is what we're thinking... she's gonna run it past the rest of THOSE people... :rotfl2::rotfl2: on the cruise this week...

The back to back starting in LA (you know... where they forced us off the ship LAST time...) 6 nights followed by the first 7 nighter to Alaska...

THAT'S 13 NIGHTS TOGETHER AGAIN THIEVES....

what do you all think???

Looks like I'll be the only one not with you guys! :guilty:

&&&&&&

I just mentioned it to Lisa G over on FB...

This will be DCL's first time into any of these ports, including SF... maybe they will have something special like fireworks or something like they did in Barcelona when they got there first time...

another thought...

The 6 night won't be very interesting to some people in CA (except our wonderful thieves... ) because SF is really something they can do anytime...

(but not with us... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes)

ohhh just think...

The ORIGINAL Ghiradelli's!!!!

Oh yes, I'm sure nobody will be surprised to hear I spent lots of money there! ;)

Michelle came over and got me to join in on the fun. Thanks Michelle!! However, I cannot go in early May. I have class until the second week in May. I am thinking of doing the transatlantic as of May 14. Then Alaska at the end of July. But I really wish I could join in on this fun!

HI TAMMY!!!!! Glad to see you here!

that settles it for me, I want LA to Van to Alaska!

OHHHHHH!!!!FOR the bottle!!!!:lmao::rotfl2::lmao: I thought you were offering to trade me a scarf for my bottle!!!!

:lmao::lmao::lmao: I guess you could read it that way. Somehow, I doubt you'll trade tequila for a scarf, unless you're really, really, really cold! - even then you'd just drink the tequila to warm you up from the inside!:lmao:

Yeah, I know, but the lure of a 15 day cruise has me hooked, and I've had my heart set on the PC one. I just have to do it one more time, then if DCL does Alaska the following year (I can hope, right?) I'm in! :thumbsup2

Oh, they'll let him. I've already been telling his teacher we're going again sometime in 2011. She wishes she could go with us! :thumbsup2

With the scarves (Michelle, Shannon, Lisa) do we already have our first fish extender team?
