Michelle, I am so sorry that this trip did not work out for you. I know how you feel. Now that our thieve friends are about to set sail, I am so envious, cause I can only imagine the fun that I will be missing, but yet happy for my friends that get to actually have the fun times together. I guess the rest of of landlubbers will at least be there in spirit.
Bubba and I do have our up coming vac coming in 6 weeks. Not DCL, but much anticipated non the less.

I want summer back! It's been cool and rainy here, and this morning it was only 6C (about 40F)
Last night I took the kids out to Tim Horton's for a snack when I picked them up and we sat inside watching a major thunderstorm. We had to go register Shaelyn for Brownies at 6pm, and I pick them up from daycare at 5, so it seemed easier to go out for a snack instead of going home and then heading back out. It worked out well, as the worst of the rain/thunder/lightning happened while we were eating our doughnuts. The kids enjoyed watching the lightning through the big floor to ceiling windows.
Anyway, Shaelyn has a new Brownie troop, and a girl from daycare is in it, so she's excited.

I've been having lots of fun with the guinea pigs! I take Oreo out of the cage daily and let him wander around for a while. He just loves to explore, goes out to the kitchen and comes back, goes into each bedroom and comes back, wanders around the couch, etc. Just checking everything out and getting a change of scenery I suppose. But Dale doesn't enjoy being let out. He either sits right where I set him down, or runs to find something to hide under and poops like crazy!
Wish me luck, I'm going to the company golf tournament this weekend. I have played golf only twice in my life, but everybody says the tournament is lots of fun and many of the people aren't skilled golfers so I decided to give it a shot. Someone is lending me clubs, so I just have to pay my $17 and go make a fool of myself. I can handle it

She really had a case of the silly's that day and just had to get it out.
Last weekend, one of our degus (similar to hamster) died. Ken found and removed her before the girls saw, and then we got to tell them. Kaleigh didn't really care, but it made Shaelyn sad.
How long do they live? I finally saw what they look like, the only pet store in town here that sells them is out exotic pet store. They're very cute!
I love storms! We usually have tons of them in August, in fact, August and the first part of September is tornado season, but we have only had ONE storm, last month, and it was overnight. I really am missing the storm season this year.Good morning!

Dale does, perhaps because he's a couple months younger, so I don't let him run around, but Oreo has no accidents. When I see him run back to the cage and pace back and forth, I put him back inside and he immediately runs to a corner and does that business. I only let him run around loose for about 10 minutes at a time, so that probably helps too.
Did you guys see on FB how Tyler was shocked at Obama saying a "bad word"?
