Very cute pics, I looked for you on Monday at DL, but I figured you guys were on your way home. Let us know the next time you come. I was shocked at how much bigger the boys looked!
Sorry we missed you! We will plan better next time for sure. This was more of a last minute trip - we just planned it a couple weeks ago.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER
Scottishwee35
I love watching his Birthday video at Chuckie Cheese. We don't have a good one near us...the one near us gets lots of kids whose parents drop them off and they use it as day care. One of our son's got punched pretty hard one time in a tunnel. Bummed as I loved Chuckie Cheese growing up....there is another place near us (near Nan actually) called The Jungle and parents have to check in with the kids there.
Its been a nice weekend here. My parents brought the girls back from camping about 11:30 and came in to visit for a while. The girls were stinky from the campfire, but very happy.
We've decided to pull the girls out of their daycare, because we're getting too frustrated with some of the rules and the poor communication. For the summer, a co-worker and I are getting together to hire a student to watch mine and her kids at her house for 3 days a week, and Ken will keep the girls the other 2 days. Hopefully that works out okay. Then in the fall, we'll have to find a new daycare for the girls, that will be willing to take Shaelyn to & from school. Hopefully it will all work out. We may end up paying a higher rate in the fall, but it will save us $1000 bucks over the summer
Time to get the girls to bed. Tomorrow is another week. I get to sleep in a little bit, since Ken is keeping the girls.
Day care is always such a headache...it sounds like you got a great plan though, and I bet Ken will enjoy having the extra time with the girls. With the economy, maybe some day care places will have some specials - with so many out of work, I imagine they are hurting as well. Actually, are people out of work in Canada as much as they are in US?
Ok, I have to admit....

when Quentin & I cruise just us and no kids we do ask for a table of 2. Of course if it was a
Disney cruise we would have tablemates! But I don't know of any other forum to get to know people before a cruise. We had an awful experience on a honeymoon on a
RCCL cruise. We sat with a family of 4 (parents, their son & wife) and I SWEAR the father was the head of the Ku Klux Klan. It was just terrible. I kept having to kick Quentin under the table as I thought he was going to hit the 70 yr old dad. We ended up switching tables and our second table was much better. When we went on a 14 night cruise on the Princess, we asked for a table of 2 and we just loved it. We sat really close to another table of 2 and got to know them very well. But having that alone time was just heaven...and so ever since then, we always ask for a table of 2. Maybe once the kids are out and all we have is alone time we will venture back out to bigger tables. Again, this is JUST on other lines. On Disney, we'd always want a large table!
Ok... I think we need to do something... we can't let this die...
Shannon tell Ken that the #13 is very lucky and to get his butt over here...
V... I'm leaving it up to you to get Gaylean on here...
I'll go skim and see who else I can jab...
(and no Nan... I won't go find you know who...

)
find you know who???

. Boy, I'm bummed I missed all those threads!
wow!!! Way to go! You're truly an inspiration for the rest of us.
DITTO! 100?!? That is great.
Just got back from the doctors. I have cellulitis again. This time it's internal, it didn't break the skin. But the doctor said that once you have cellulitis, it's recurring for the rest of your life. Oh great. He's putting me on antibiotics immediately. John is at the drug store now getting it filled. He said anytime my leg blows up, turns red and hurts....just call into the office and he'll send a script to my drugstore....no need to come in again. But expect to get it again, it's chronic. It's a good thing I went to the doctor. If I don't take the antibiotic....it could get into my blood and be fatal. Scary. I had no idea. Marilyn, thanks for the advice to see the doctor. I'm glad I did.
I feel so aweful....my doctor asked if I minded that he call his PA into the office to see my leg....for learning purposes. I said, fine. She came in and the doctor said to her, whenever you think you have seen a bad case of cellulitis, look at this leg and remember how bad this is. They should know that this is the best that my leg has been in two years.
I hate going to the doctor. There's always bad news.

No wonder you hate going to the doctor. Don't ever feel like you have to say yes when a doctor asks you to do something or bring someone in for learning purposes....it is your care that is most important and one common response I have heard people say is "I'd like to help but I'm just not up for it today. I hope that is ok." Usually, the MD will be very understanding and say no worries. While I totally understand and respect the whole teaching component to medicine, some days are tougher then others when you are a patient and if you are already feeling a bit down, there is no reason to be put in that situation. But you are so open and helpful, I just know you probably never thought of saying no. Hope you are feeling better.
I'm heading to bed very shortly, so will finish getting caught up tomorrow. I was able to get Serenity after work for a sleep over last night. She was so cute, I hadn't seen her for about a month now. She was waiting outside with her mom for me to arrive, and as soon as she saw me coming she let out a squeal and came running/toddling into my arms

I took a few steps towards her door, with her in my arms, to say hi to her mom and she got very upset because she was afraid I wasn't going to take her with me as I always do when I come over! So, we had fun last night together and she slept really well.
My daughter came over to visit this morning. This afternoon a friend of mine came over to play with us, we then took Serenity home around 4:00. My friend surprised me and brought steaks to BBQ and salad and veggies. She insisted on doing all of the cooking! I have had a great day
Kathe
Sounds wonderful! Glad you had a great time with Serenity.
So we moved our EB transatlantic trip...

I have talked to several parents that have children in middle school and they all said that missing two weeks in 6th grade would be tough, especially with a particular language arts teacher. They said she would be really tough on Owen. The additional problem is that the cruise starts the week AFTER spring break - so basically, the kids would be not going to school for 3 weeks.
We moved it to a 5-night Aug. 17, 2010 cruise. We were able to get a Cat.2, which would be a lot of fun. The price was about the same as our Cat. 1 in January 07 - so that isn't bad given it is summer time. Summertime was always a lot more for those cabins. I've had fun reading all about it. We served pizza tonight on our pirates of the caribbean plates we got at Pieces of Eight and I imagined packing them and having breakfast on them in our cabin! If only it wasn't 15 months away!
