We just got back from seeing UP. Our son, Mike, said it was probably his favorite Pixar film to date. We liked it, but not as much as some of the earlier ones.....But it was exciting!

I'm hoping to see it soon.

Jill, nice to see you pop in! Glad Moe is still doing well. Sorry about your stepdad.

Monica, I hope you're feeling better soon!

I'm so beat! After work & school, we ran all over trying to find new shoes and sandals for Tyler for vacation because we're out of time. We found shoes, but sandals will have to wait until we get to FL. We had to stop shopping to get to Chuck E. Cheese for a friend's birthday party. We were there 3 1/2 hours! Tyler's just now falling asleep, so he'll have a rough day tomorrow. Oh well.....only 3 more days of school anyway. And they leave at noon tomorrow for a field trip (I'm joining them), then Wed is a full day and Thursday is a 1/2 day. Then vacation 2 days after that! :dance3:

OK, I'm off to clean the guinea pigs' cages. I skipped it last night because I was too tired, so I absolutely have to do it tonight.

i'm feeling kind of crappy this am - took a tylenol pm last night cuz I was hurting & knew i needed to sleep. Well - I didn't sleep well at all. Had weird dreams & kept waking up. I woke up groggy & have a bad headache (surprise, surprise).

I was supposed to have blood drawn this morning - well, I get to the place and as I'm turning off the car I realized that my lab order form is on the back of my door at home - so there was a waste of a fast & of waking up early. Now I get to try to do this all again tomorrow am.

UP was cute, but quite dark at times - LOVE Doug the dog.

Purchased my insurance for the Tortola cruise today & will be calling in my pymnt for the cruise at lunch. :thumbsup2

Sorry you weren't feeling very good today... I called in sick...

Not that anyone is interested... but...

It snowed in Lake Placid yesterday... :cold:

I just want to tell you that my sister is going on a Celebrity Cruise on the 15th... and she is sitting at a table for 2 :sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2:

Maybe seeing our table pictures scared her... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

(but we had MUCH more fun!!!)

:worship::worship::worship::worship::worship:

(ignore this... I just needed them for a thank you email...)

Good morning Thieves, I found us on page 2:scared1:

I hope this means everyone is busy with other things, I know I'm really busy at work, still doing the job of 2 people by my lonesome.

:sad2:I think our thread may be starting to fade away.:sad1:

It's certainly not as active as it used to be.

I think it's a combo of things. Some folks getting really busy planning for their next cruise. Many of us are also connected on Facebook, and that syphons off some activity.

& Just who is that??? Not you Shannon... I KNOW you... :snooty:

I'm back again princess: and I hope you are feeling better.

Shannon,

A very good question. The policy is no children which is defined as under the age of 10. WW accept adolecents (age 10 inclusive to age 17) provided they have a physicians note that gives permission for the young person to follow the program and their physician must specify in writing, their ultimate goal weight, or within a month of joining provide written notice of the young person's goal weight.

Interesting is that I cannot allow adult members to have a goal weight below the healthy range for their height, unless they have a note from their doctor.

Their parent must sign the health release.

The young person must also follow the guide set aside for members their age, which is higher in points than for an adult and also has a good health guideline that includes more milk.

I think the reason why the online program doesn't accept young people is because of the difficulty in enforcing policy and monitoring the young person.

That's good that WW is so cautious with kids. Its scary how some kids can get weight obsessed. Holly, I think that's great that Tyler is interested in what's healthy.

Thought I would pop in and say HI!

Matt and I are doing well, very busy. My stepdad is worse, he can't walk at all now and was falling out of his wheelchair so my grandparents bought him a scooter. So I spend most my days at my moms helping out. Moe is still here and is a very loving cat. Matt says its time for him to go back soon. We are both training for the TOT 5k in Oct. Matt is doing better than I am at working out but, I can still out run him. Last time I ran though I broke out into hives and couldn't stop itching. We hope it was me being allergic to my pants but I got some cream to but on before I try again and hopefully it will work.

I hope everyone is doing well. Matt wants me to post some pics so hopefully I can tomorrow.

Hi Jill! Were they new pants? Sometimes the crap they put in them to keep them looking good on the rack can irritate the skin.

I'm not really sure, I think I just find it hard to follow, hard to keep up, etc. I've found that sometimes I get an email notification that somebody commented on something, but by the time I go check it out I can't find it because so many things have posted since then. And it seems like I have to look multiple places to see everything from everybody. It's just a hard format for me to follow, too scattered or something. I'm just used to this format here on the DIS and I don't like change. ;)

That's what I think of facebook too. Maybe just because I don't go on enough, I haven't got it all figured out.

Its definitely slowed down, perhaps #13 is just a bad number? :confused3 I think Ian's right that facebook has taken some away. There hasn't been a good nighttime chat session in a while. Since its gone this long, I don't think it will die, but it might stay at this level? It should pick up a little once Marilyn gets home.

Ok... I think we need to do something... we can't let this die...

Shannon tell Ken that the #13 is very lucky and to get his butt over here...

V... I'm leaving it up to you to get Gaylean on here...

I'll go skim and see who else I can jab...

(and no Nan... I won't go find you know who...:scared:)

I want to knock my 2 grandson's heads together and their parents too for not doing it first!:headache:

Marilyn... go take a nap and get your fingers ready... we need you back here and in good form as soon as you hit England again!!!

& Bubba.... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I think people are just a little busy with Summer and other vacations coming up. But no one else knows us like we all know each other. This thread may slow down, but I don't think it will ever die out. At least I hope not.

Having a tough one Marilyn????

This is why Grandchildren are fun...you get to send them home...

& deb... I"m sure I'll be talking to myself at the end... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Holly and Shannon.....I don't like facebook either. I'm on there only because everyone I know is there and I try to keep up every couple of days or so. I don't check it out everyday.

I'm still on myspace too....to keep in touch with the kids. Tom, Kris, and Casey are on there. Tristan is on Facebook. So I do both to keep in touch with them, but not everyday.

Speaking of the kids....Tom graduated high school....YEAH. He's signing up with the National Guard. We're happy for him. Kris is coming here for a two week vacation on June 10th. Casey will come visit this Summer with my brother....sometime in August. Busy, busy, busy. It must be Summer. Tristan is still in the Marines, he's in Pensacola FL. Not sure when I'll get to see him again. They're all growing up. Kris and Casey are the youngest and they'll both be 17 in August. Does that make me older now too?

Tomorrow I have a doctor appointment with my GP. John is taking me coz with this leg, I can't drive. I don't have to see the wound doctor anymore. The leg wound is as good as it's going to get. I'm no longer wearing a bandage. It's no longer leaking or infected. It's just ugly, bumpy and scarred. Now I have the issue of the whole leg swelling, turning red and hurting. So back to the regular doctor to find out what's going on with that.

At least I can swim in a pool now. When Kris gets here we'll go to the local town pool. It's really nice and I can go in the water. YEAH.
