What kind of weather have you had today? I was chatting with my mom just two hours ago and saying what a beautiful day it is today, sunny and warm. Well, now it's gushing rain and thundering and lightning ( I suppose I shouldn't be dissing right now ) Did you all get this a few hours ago

It's been raining here since Tuesday... We even lost electric last night and this morning...

But the sun has come out tonight just in time for it to set...

There's just something about smacking that makes people happy

I said to a much younger fellow manager at work today..."I'm considering putting in for a job that I know I would probably hate, I just need someone to smack me" (something I of course would NEVER have said before meeting Nan ) Well, he just beamed and stepped up and said "Oh, let me help"

I'm don't typically sub, but she is very ill and I'm trying to help out.

We ventured out down the street to the May Fest. Streets blocked off, big tents up where the two municipal parking lots, people walking around with liter mugs of beer. Plus an Oompah band that's alternating between playing oompah music and country & western.

We came home.

(but first moved all of the garbage cans to barricade off our little section under the "L" so no one will park and block our garage.)

& your stopping at costco on Monday to get new garbage cans? Good luck my friend, I hear beer drinking oompah listening people can be quite dangerous... but that's usually only in Sept...

Thank you so much everybody. You help me get thru the frustrating times.

Marilyn, I'm taking your advice and I'm seeing my doctor Wed next week.

I've been lying down constantly and using the leg compression sleve. I can walk without crutches and the pain has dulled.....but the leg remains hot pink in color and stays swollen. I'm still taking muscle relaxers and I'll see what the doctor says when I go. At least this week was better than last week.

Maybe a sip of champange will help too! I hope you are feeling better.

I made a payment towards the EB transatlantic today...figure if I can sneek in payments from now until Dec, I can just tell Quentin - well you know we already have it paid for so maybe we should just go??? But I'm also tempted to push it back to 2011 and try for the EB Panama Canal one....

I do want to plan another trip...maybe August if we can swing it, although I'll be a little big then!
