OH, MY! I CAN HARDLY BELIEVE IT WAS A YEAR AGO!!!!

WOW!!!

Isn't it great that so many of the cruisers are still talkiing on the DIS?????

Great!!!
Yup, it's pretty amazing that so many of us are still talking here. I think we all made some permanent bonds and have a feeling we'll all stay in touch permanently. :thumbsup2

Well, I'm off to take a nap for an hour, then do my grocery shopping before I pick Tyler up. I'm hoping to rent "Bedtime Stories" to watch tonight while cleaning. :thumbsup2

Oh....one more thing about cleaning. I had a dream last night that I went to the bathroom and was surprised to find that somebody had cleaned it for me! One of my friends had been over (in my dream) and she felt the urge to clean it before using it. :rotfl2: I sure was disappointed when I woke up and found out that was just a dream! :lmao:

MONICA: I hope you're OK and are just too busy having fun with Dad on your cruise! :goodvibes

Final report from Eastwood Manor:

Ian & Sukie should be home any time now. I've had a great time with the doggies! They're as sweet as can be and I'm going to miss the little rascals!

Thursday I went to the Field Museum. I only had about 2.5 hrs. there, most of which I spent going through a special show they're having on Pirates. But I did get to see Sue, the T-Rex, which was very impressive! That night I went out to dinner with the daughter of a friend from Prescott.

Yesterday I got my nails done and took in more of the neighborhood, Lincoln Square. Had a gyro for lunch at an outdoor Greek place. It was a very nice day, warm and mostly sunny. I met up with Jackie and Diane about 4. We went to a gallery where Diane's watercolors were showing, then dinner at a Pizza/Italian place. Then they came over here to meet T & T.

Today is pretty windy and chilly. I've been doing laundry, getting packed and copying CDs from Sukie's vast collection. Tonight we're all going out to dinner, I think Italian, here in the neighborhood.

I've had a great time and have fallen in love with T & T. Chicago is a wonderful city and there's a lot I have yet to see. Hopefully I'll be back another time!:thumbsup2

Happy Birthday Ethan! Kaleigh & Shaelyn say HI!

Deborah - enjoy your little trip with Olivia

Ian - it sounds like naked dining worked out very well for you.

Cherie - enjoy your Italian dinner tonight.

Happy Saturday to everybody! The girls and I were off to the pool for swimming and added our names to list of people being active. Today is the activity battle between our town and the one south of us. They are recording how many minutes of activity in a "get active, get healthy" theme. We did our share with 2hours in the pool :thumbsup2, and now the 3 of us will go for a nap. :cloud9: Then I'm going to finish putting together Shaelyn's new dresser and then pack up to go to my mom's for the night. We'll see Ken in the movie and then come home in the afternoon, so I can get other work done.

I hope everybody has a great weekend!

Please lets all stop for a moment and remember the best trip and the best friends that we all made at this time last year...

What she said!!!:thumbsup2:sad:

At first I put down that we should all have a moment of silence... but then I thought that was a bit morbid and that people would think we all died... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I so wish it was today we were setting sail. There are so many things I would do different.

I did think more of the PC Thieves would pop in and say hi - even some of those who never posted since getting off the ship.

Perhaps tomorrow.

Thanks Deb  Okay, it's not an omen  And you are right, I am so lucky to be going to the happiest place on earth :goodvibes (other than on the Magic, of course ;) ) And I am so looking forward to meeting up with Gydell and her family, Monica, Connie, Chuck and Patrick, Marilyn and John and Lisa and Darrell ! I hope I haven't forgotten anyone, I have been up since 5:00 this morning and am getting weary! (and old)

What a great group of Thieves are going to be at your meeting. HUG them ALL for me and take a picture of each one and post here.....PLEASE!!!!

Have lots of fun telling stories and catching up. Cheers!:cutie:

Deb, you're doing GREAT!!! :yay: Remember, Ian said we're only supposed to see 1-2 pounds max per week. Some weeks might be less than that, but you're still going in the right direction. Way to go! :dance3: I know it's hard to see slow progress, but that's the healthy way to go. You're slowly changing your lifestyle and that takes time. You're doing great!

Thanks Holly. It's easier for me because I'm home all day. I go grocery shopping with John now....I use the sit down carts and drive and John pushes a regular basket and we buy all the right stuff. Then it's easy because that's all that's in the house. John said if he wants to eat "bad" food....and he still does....he'll eat it for lunch or outside of the house. That works for both of us. He also eats the meals that he cooks in a crock pot for me. So he gets some good foods mixed in there too.

Yes, I'm learning about the weigh in process....doing it at home.....you not only have to do it in the same place all the time, but at the same time of day too. And no matter what the numbers say.....one weigh in you could lose nothing and the following week you could lose double....so don't fret about the numbers.....look at Ian's painting. I'm learning.

Ya know, you're doing GREAT too!!! You have way more points to use because you're active. And you have way less to lose than I do. You can do this all the way also. I'm so glad that it's working for you. We're all going to look so good and be so healthy. YEAH!

Oh Deb, it's just one thing after another, isn't it? I hope you're able to find a way to make this work. What a mess.

We will do what we must and it's only for one month and then it's done....until the next thing. I guess that's life or C'est la vie!:confused3

Deb, I know the number on the scale made you feel better, but be careful about weighing before your weekly weigh-in because our weight can fluctuate throughout the day. I LOVE your Sit Tight video idea! I've never heard of a workout video like that. It's perfect! Way to go! :goodvibes

It was my weigh in day....that morning. I weighed myself a total of three times that morning. At 6am I didn't lose anything. At 8am I lost 2lbs. At 11am I lost 4lbs. I found out that I have to weigh myself at the same exact time each weigh in day and just do it one time. Because your weight does really fluctuate in a day. I went from 0-4lbs lost in five hours. I logged 2lbs. lost online for tracking.

I think I'm going to love the workout too. At least it's one that I shoud be able to do and that will really go a long way to making me feel good. I think it was Michelle who told me about it. I didn't know either.

Tyler's getting slightly better about trying new things, so I'll be able to at least get him to try anything I make. I like Marilyn's idea about the foil packets. I used to do those long ago when I actually used to cook. I think the last t ime I cooked was when I was pregnant. It was April and I was craving a turkey dinner. I'd never made one before, but I cooked a whole turkey and all the fixings you'd see at a Thanksgiving dinner. I lived alone, so it was hilarious! :rotfl2: Anyway, I'll buy some chicken breasts and other things to do the foil packets for dinners. That will help a lot! Thanks Marilyn and Shannon! :goodvibes

You are sooooo funny. The last time you cooked was 6 years ago and you made a whole Turkey dinner in Spring. That's hysterical. It sounds like me. I did ocassionally cook way way back when....once a year I would do a full course meal from scratch....just because....when I lived alone. Since I'm married I have cooked meat loaf from time to time and I think that's all. Oh, I have made potatoe salad and my tuna salad rocks. I think that's it.

:lmao:

Want to send her over to my house?

Ian wants to know what you are doing in Sept.... :rolleyes1

Like What?????????????????????????????

I did think more of the PC Thieves would pop in and say hi - even some of those who never posted since getting off the ship.

Maybe they didn't like us after all... :sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1:

Anyway... the best stuck together and we are who we are... THIEVES!!!! pirate:

Planky found it... he can't bounce around too much either and you know that freshman 15??? He's been sneaking stuff out of the fridge for months now... :scared:

Looking forward to seeing you one week tomorrow!!! Have a good journey.:)

Thanks Marilyn,I can't believe it's only one week away :cool1:

Oh my gosh, I just got off the phone with my mom. I called her and gave her some options of things to do on Sunday. She never lets me take her out and never wants to get together on special occasions, so I was shocked that she's willing this time! She really likes the zoo here in my city, so she's coming to town (and bringing her sister with her), we'll all go to Subway for lunch, and spend the afternoon at the zoo. She wants to play with Oreo too. That's surprising because she's disgusted by rodents! ;) Anyway, we ended up on the phone for TWO HOURS! I told her about me starting WW. She's always been very critical about weight my whole life, so I expected her to say something like, "Well, it's about time". She did make one tiny comment along those lines, but the rest of the conversation was very good. She was quizzing me on the info provided online to make sure I'm getting everything out of it that I should. She suggested the same thing Marilyn did (about chicken and fish, etc.).

SO....now that I'm off the phone, I can get back to experimenting with Tyler's NEW COMPUTER!!!! :yay::woohoo::banana: He's going to be SO excited when he comes home tomorrow and can go to Webkinz World and all the other sites he uses at school! :thumbsup2

Holly, sounds like you have a nice Mother's day planned :goodvibes Hope you all have a great day together!

Kathe - have a great vacation!

Have a great time Kathe!!! Wish I could be there...

Thanks, I wish we could all be there too, and getting ready to board the Magic again :grouphug:
