JUST HAD MY BIGGEST SURPRISE OF THE YEAR!!!

:eek::eek::eek:

:dance3::dance3::dance3:

There was a knock at my door a little while ago. I went and opened the door...took me a minute to see through all the long hair and whiskers...OMG...it's my son! He called me from his home in Alberta 2 days ago, but failed to mention he was leaving with a friend to drive here for a visit!!! It's a long drive, they have been driving pretty much non-stop for 2 days. Now he's gone already to see how many other people he can shock :rolleyes: but he'll be back later! I'm so glad I have tomorrow off work, and an extra day next week for Canada Day! I have no idea how long he's staying for.
Kathe, that's great news! Enjoy your surprise visit! :yay:

A bit tired because I was up at 4:30 a.m. today. I woke up and figured I might as well stay up because I had to go lead WW meetings today.

I did have an inspiring meeting, one member's loss was a big milestone. As of this morning she's lost 108.4 pounds! We did a big celebration. She had started at 330.8 pounds.

I found her really inspiring and she provided inspiration and motivation to everyone else.

It's moments like that that make me really enjoy this part time job.
WOW, that's great! I love hearing success stories about your members, what wonderful motivation for the rest of us! :thumbsup2

Does anyone remember my story about Micah, the 7 yr old grandson of my work friend who had cancer? Well, he is still cancer free after finishing a year of chemo in January :cool1: Sunshine Kids organization is sending him and his family for 3 days in WDW and 4 days on the Wonder on July 7th! His grandma and grandpa and aunt are going too! I am hoping they have a truly wonderful time. None of them have ever been before.
What wonderful news! I'm sure they'll all have a great time! :goodvibes

Well, we didn't get any weeding done, but we sat outside on the front porch eating ice cream. A much better way to spend a Saturday evening! ;)

Hey Kathe... Glad to hear of your surprise!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Good to hear about your little friend.

Holly... ice cream beats weeds anyday!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Aw, I'm seeing fireflies for the first time of the season! Lots of little lights flying around! :goodvibes

I think my guinea pigs are having an identity crisis. I think they think they're hamsters. Hamsters are nocturnal, guinea pigs are not. Except mine. I'm just about to go to bed and they've been running laps in their cage, tearing up the place, crashing into walls, knocking things over, etc. It's like a demolition derby in there! They always do that the day I clean their cage. CRAZY CRITTERS! But they're so darned cute! ;)

OK.....goodnight all!
:cloud9:

It's a Saturday night... what else do you expect them to do??? :dance3::dance3::dance3:

Holly, I agree with Michelle...ice cream beats weeds anyday!

I've got a few minutes to relax. Brian's out at a freind's house but will be back later for dinner. I just so happened to have invited Serenity and her mom over for dinner tonight, this was before the big surprise! It's worked out really well, Brian will get to see Serenity too! He's just going to surprise them by showing up :upsidedow He will see such a change in Serenity as he hasn't seen her since Christmas, except in pics of course.

Is it really warm where you are Holly? I usually see them here too on really hot nights. I haven't seen any yet this year though!

:lmao: I'm glad you're enjoying your critters, no matter what they think they are!

My daughter's chinchilla "Gizmo" died a week ago and she was very,very upset :( Her husband took her out a couple of days later and now she has another one, "Sprocket" !

I'm just not into any rodent like pet, I keep my distance :eek:

Thanks everyone :)

Well, I can think of ONE rodent you don't keep your distance from...in fact, you embrace him!

::MickeyMo
